Good content…on the auction front, the markets been pretty good lately, especially with vintage. Prices have been steady or ticking up for the lots I’ve been bidding on (finding it hard to win on 10-20% below comp…been pricing out at comp or higher depending on watchers and bidders). Always enjoy your content…keep up the good work

How do we know sneakers, watches, and cards have moved together in the past ? Interested to know more about that !
It’s something I’ve noticed the past 3-4 years in following all 3 markets, as stimulus money pumped a lot of liquidity into the market.
The only difference is the past year or so, both watches and sneakers have dropped heavily (or corrected) whereas sports cards singles have generally stayed afloat.
Repacks / mystery packs, the ‘gamble,’ the chase, is something sports cards have that the other two markets traditionally do not and I believe that is generally keeping the market afloat.
How long it can last ? That’s the generational wealth question.

Sneakers are going down because of reproduction of shoes + Culture changing in Streetwear away from Jordans and into new balance / Asics type dad sneakers. Only thing changing about hobby culture is that it is becoming trendier / more aligned with popular gambling culture. The Hobby 📈📈
