@ You must be a comedian. I’m from Detroit and even The Funk Brothers themselves said that the JBs were the best band of all time. Just think about it for a minute…. The Funk Brothers didn’t have Maceo Parker, Fred Wesley, Pee Wee Ellis, Melvin Parker, Bootsy Collins, Catfish Collins, Jabo Starks or Clyde Stubblefield. By the way, the Funk Brothers didn’t have James Brown. As far as Sade’s band goes, you should be ashamed for even mentioning them in the same sentence as the JBs. They were good but not good as Cameo, Lakeside, EW&F, The Isley Brothers, The Dazz Band and about a hundred others. One last point…. If James Brown created Funk, then doesn’t it make sense that all bands after The JBs were just copying what they heard?

I can go bed listening to this funk groove next morning I pushing ,my 72 Buick 455 Rivera down free way was going to work this groove so funky ,and the gas station with the 8 track blasting JBL Studio speakers traffic is at stand still . 1973 gas shortage but we got funk and JBs
Thanks for the love ❤️ on the other post of this. I got a cousin named Fred, one named James, and had a great uncle who was named Maceo, all of them from WAY BACK before JB and etc. even hit the scene. Is something going on with my stars and Cosmology? Lol 😂 I'm beginning to see the light all over again, and more and more at the young age of 65. Thanks forever to you, and all who can share in my praise!
OMG!!!…this is Myyy Kutt 🎤🎶🎵 I can remember when I first heard this Babyyy I was singing the mess out of it until my cousin said” Gurrrrl James not saying that I was singing Say B” 😩😂😂 it’s Same Beat!!!!…still my #1
I uploaded this a few months ago, albeit edited to maintain the integrity of the source, but somebody else has uploaded it, so thought I might as well upload a clean version without any edits. Sign of the times, I suppose 😂😂
There is a song that has a similar beat, slightly faster, with sirens and louder horns. Do you happen to know what mix/song that is? I heard in a skating rink years ago!!

Steppers gold.
This is the clean version that evaded so many top beat producers of the late 1980s and early 90s. Got to find this joint on vinyl
You won't find this on vinyl as it was never issued, here is a better mix 👉 ruclips.net/video/kXVICu2VV84/видео.html
