Bro I bought a pair of guppies from the aquarium near to me, unfortunately it had some infection due to which it also affected my entire old guppies which was healthy and they're all dying now so I suggest you all to be careful when you buy a fish ,if possible isolate them for a couple of week on a safer side (this not to depromote any aquarists 🙏)

But my guess. It could be coz of water level or pH check it once and the temperature of water Use plants in ur aquarium or tub it would help them as natural oxygen supplements
For starters i recommend 1 pair only.. before buying make sure to set.up ur tank or tub and stock the water for 1 week to make it livable for guppies.. also when you buy guppies make sure that they are all healthy. 1 sick guppy can spread the desease and can kill your entire guppies
