- Working on the old girl today, change the fuel pressure regulator and some of the vacuum hoses. The hesitation has actually gone away. So I’m not too sure if it was a vacuum leak or the fuel pressure regulator. I know I mentioned in the video that I still have a hesitation but I also think it’s the slight slope in the transmission from rolling stop to start. What do you guys think, do you think I need a valve adjustment?
Don’t forget to undo the coolant bleed nipple on the thermostat housing. The valve clearances definitely need adjusting. Simples if you know how. Nearly fifty years of BMW experience here.
A few months late but yes valve adjustment. Get the revised safety wired banjo bolts (they back out over time) from Gale, and replace your spark plugs with NGK all at the same time while the valve cover is open

I already replaced the plugs and wires, she isn’t running the same on the NKG plug and wires. Very odd. I am going to tackle the valve adjustment soon. Thx again

@@JesseJamesHeadrick well, ever since I changed the Bosh to NKG, that’s what is seems. I changed 3 things only. Wires, cap and rotor and plugs, she idles different now.
@@Resq28 hmmm that’s weird. You should throw the Bosch ones back in just to see if it goes back to the way it was. I’m curious now
I recently bought the same car and I’ve having some electrical issues.. my power windows and sunroof are no longer working.. do you know what the problem may be?
Sorry, I don’t know. Luckily I haven’t encountered that problem yet. Yet! Lol.
Start with the easy stuff, fuse, look under the fuse cover it will explain which fuse controls which devices. If that is OK move on to what could potentially be a relay problem. The old relays in these cars have a tendency to break down. Check those things out and let me know how you did.
