i dont play wc3 often but these are the things i would rather have changed. Blood mage hero flame strike = it starts doing its over time damage as soon as its casted but after he is finished casting the pillers strike, just felt like its effect like removing trees or even just doing something should still work even if hes stunned or moved early. Spell breakers = they should get Defend. the cost of Defend is to high for only to be on footies. maybe lowering the total armor to balance it i dont know but it just allways feels like its something they should be having. dreadlord = i feel like he should be a agi hero as undead all ready get 2 other strength heros and 1 intelligence. i know dark ranger is in the tavern but she isn't available on all maps. but i can see why there stength compared to humans who also don't get any agility heros. but those things might make the competative side of things shift to much so i dont expect the game to cater to what i see should be.
If you look into the editor, there is an ability called Magic Defense under humans and with the face of a spellbreaker as its icon. It's a toggle ability like Defend and supposed to give magic immunity at the expense of movement speed. So Blizzard did have a similar mechanism in mind for spellbreakers as for footmen at some point. Regarding your idea that spellbreakers should have Defend, I think it would make them too invincible with the magic immunity in conjunction and healing backing like priests, since you cannot nuke them with abilities. The dreadlord is a strength-intelligence hybrid character-wise. Therefore, I think it would rather make sense to make him intelligence. Human does not have agility heroes in melee, either; an asymmetry is on purpose, there. But shadow hunter, for example, could also be an intelligence hero, maybe it would be interesting to give heroes on the brink two primary attributes, where it grants half the damage increment for each point in either of them.
Wow! I wish I was 10% of how Grubby use the Warden. She is my main hero and I am not doing her justice. Grubby is very adept as usual. It’s not the buff, the man is just very good!

Would love to see the change go through. Just to see how strong it'll be. But they have to be quick with nerfs if something is heavily overperforming, which i assume this warden would be.

Wow, I haven't seen Night Elf deal with Siege Engines that well for a long time -- usually it's a matter of barely managing to pull out a win if they manage to hold it off at all. Getting Panda after Warden level 7 was definitely good on a map like this. From what I understand of the description of the damage cap, it isn't that complicated: If you hit a number of targets with an AoE spell that would total up to more damage than the cap (when multiplying the damage per target by the number of targets), the damage done to all of the targets gets reduced proportionally to get the total damage down to the cap. This used to really hose Carrion Swarm until they buffed it several patches ago (a few years ago). The first few examples of Fan Of Knives were not affected because they did not hit enough units to reach the cap.

I remember looking it up a few years ago to see if you could still get it anywhere, and its *stupid expensive* now. Like, couple hundred dollars expensive because its basically considered a collectable at this point.
Now there is a re-releasaed Version with new models/monsters etc., Morcar is called differently, but basically the same game and getting expansion. The board is a bit larger for stupid generation mobile phone I guess :D I bought it for my nphew, but we didn't get to play it so far. It looks better than I expected from online reviews tbh.
Hey grubby, Heroquest was first published from Game workshop. It is kinda sequel from the Warhammer universe... And I am happy enough to have the old version from the early 90's
oh wow you got Sobi mask on warden vs human that is INSANE... imagine getting that mana amulet similar to hp one. i forgot its technical name, its been so many years. then brilliance aura from one of the red camps on panda + 1 orb on each hero and of course staff. that'd be insane luck. plus another sobi of course ^_^
also why did they change SO many heroes move speed from 300 to 290? does it make such a big difference? was it all tavern heroes or all heroes except a few? i remember your video going over patch notes and it just seemed like SO many heroes went from 300 to 290.
Seems to me that FoK honestly isn’t that much better? It does more damage, but not enough to 1-shot peasants, which is the really important threshold. Still takes 2 to wipe a goldmine line, which is how it worked before. The thing that IS really buffed is the blink cooldown, which makes it a lot less risky to jump in and out. But then, this is a max level blink and FoK so maybe it *should* be able to harass peasants well.
The buff to Fan Of Knives wouldn't affect it when you have few targets, only when you have a lot of targets -- if you are only hitting a couple of Peasants at a time with it, it will take the same number of castings to kill them as before.

I would rather have Priestess of the Potm be a 4th hero option instead of being the Priestess of Bottom Tier memes. Give searing arrows an ability to set buildings on fire like a bat to slow repairs and starfall bonus damage to buildings or something. Making peasants die to FoK even faster just makes Hum build even more mana draining towers, which is not fun for anyone. And FoK makes sub-Grandmaster level players just rage more, which is not good for game longevity.
Looks like panda ended the game faster than knives. Hard to say since he fumbled his army at the end but it would have been harder to punish with just fans.
the damage cap functions so that if you would do more damage than the maximum total damage due to multiple targets, you only do the maximum allowed damage divided evenly among the affected targets. Let's say you have a spell that has 120 damage and 600 max damage; as long as you only have 5 or less targets you'll do 100 damage per target, but once you get your sixth target, you're now over the cap, and your damage per target drops to 600 divided by 6 equals 100 damage per target, as opposed to the 120 you would've done per target if you had 5 or less.
While an explanation that would make sense, it's not true. The game simply has a max number of targets and deals its damage per target (never any fraction of it) to random targets within range. The max number of targets is (max total damage / damage per target), rounding up any fractional left over. Remo showcases this in his PTR feedback video from yesterday.
This is a correct explaination of how AoE spells work assuming all targets are hit simultaneously. For spells with multiple damage ticks such as carrion swarm, the damage may be distributed unevenly, since each tick of damage will distribute the remaining damage as normal with no consideration for whether more targets will be hit or not. All of this said, fan of knives is not a traditional AoE. What it actually does is send out projectiles dealing exactly 75/125/190 damage to the closest target until it either runs out of targets within range or runs out of damage. This means the damage cap for this spell is functionally just a target cap. In fact if you go into the editor and set the damage cap to a number not evenly divided by the damage per target, the spell will do more damage in total than the damage cap, assuming it has enough valid targets.
Druids of the claw now starting with 110 mana plus they have no Duration time if they heal themselves and develop to bears? How did u transform that fast? Couldnt see that change in thr PTR has to be nerfed asap
fan got a ridiculous buff. MK bash got a massive buff + that pick axe weapon, idk if it stacks or just has 2 diff types of bash procs.. then CL's lvl3 armor is insane. paladin's devotion aura is insane. idk if microsoft understands just how serious armor is in this game. i really wanted you to succeed in the stealing of opponents wisp and getting a KOTG but map was too small and he kept killing ghouls with his warden wth FoK until his panda got to 5 and then the magic dmg was too much for CL and army really unless it had AMS on it. maybe do a 1v1 or a FFA? since that's more likely to get late game high level heroes for maxed cl armor spikes and max thorns. also i somehow hit some option that changed my dk and dh to female voice and idk how to fix it... its got classic graphics but the voices are still the female model. i can't play in reforged graphics the buildings all look identical and its confusing sadly.

I don't play the game myself but I think the move speed nerfs were reverted after a few days.

How does your wc3 move so smooth, i recently downloaded multiple game version (1.21 ; 1.26 and 1.27a) but it moves very weird.
Same 1.26 feels smooth all the time while 1.31 feels so bad I don't even know if its 30 fps or not

Fan of Knifes always had a damage cap, which made it only hit up to 4/5/5 targets, looking it up in the editor, i see no change to this.

Yes but it is 900/1560/2400 which is much higher, even after the warden buffs. Enough to do full damage to 12 targets.
