Commander Jey Jey Bink's breakdown at the end was a joy to watch. Defo find a kill team that you like and learn it so you know it and you'll fall in love with it it's play-style. Hope there's a best of three, now that Reece has a hill to climb!
Haven't watched the video yet but my favorite moment in this journey was the 'they have a dog' episode. (I think I've used that one before.) Really hope your wife has fun and that it ends up being a good time for both of you.
Great batrep - very funny! Massive respect to Jay Jay for trying kill team for her first wargame, as it’s definitely not the easiest entry point rules-wise.
With her killer instinct, I think Jey Jey Bink's next adventure should be a 12 Bloodletter Compendium team. For non-Compendium teams, maybe one of the new Nightmare teams, who both seem pretty killy in different ways.
The Medic can’t revive another operative if that operative is in engagement range, so you didn’t need to correct yourself in the voice over - you were right in the first place!
@@3StoWound try not to monkey paw it by saying "wish she would play something other than pathfinders" as you'll see Felgor book on a table the next day.
Really enjoyed watching this. It takes a special spouse to venture into the interest of their partner, especially when it can be nerdy and tongue in cheek. Jey Jey did great and hope she considers playing more. Best quote is: “It’s about standing on a circle.” Ain’t that the truth!
The madlad. . . . . I'll just outright come out and say what everyone is thinking. FORCE HER TO START AN ARMY. Everyone: Guess she's gonna main Necrons.
Cool vid, would love a little more input from JJ, but can completely understand being the first batrep. Excellent work on introducing a new player without being patronising, and love to hear the (fellow) aussie vernacular on a batrep rather than UK or Canadian/US Looking forward to more!
She will defitniley have more to say in upcoming batreps. She just needed to get her head around it all. When I asked her how each turn went her reply was "It's all a blur" 🤣 Thanks for watching!
SO good. Just a little thing -- Execution, when revealed, requires you to choose ONE operative to be your executioner. So no bouncing it about. Get 'em Jey Jey!
@@3StoWound -- I mean, you were playing it over the course of two days, post getting a kiddo to bed, and exhausted. I think we can understand how these things happen. :D
Awesome battle report - quick question about the pick up action. It’s a universal action so I can do it in any mission I want right? I have been told that’s not the case but can’t find a rule that says you can’t do it… though trying to get an objective off a Custodian Guard does seem pretty tough! Advice from anyone greatly appreciated 🙏
What a sweet chick to do this. She probably couldn’t give two kangaroo shits about warhammin’ but she is all in for you. My wife does it too, she will play any game I bring to the table even though she is not that interested in any of this crap. Be thankful, duder, you are blessed.
If she wants a team thats all about slaying your enemy and spilling blood in glorious battle, I'd like to recommend the intercession team (but with a flavor twist). When I play my intercessors I run all assault intercessors with the chapter tactics Dueller and Aggressive. Dueller lets you parry an extra hit if you parry with a crit, and Aggressive gives you rending for each fight action in an activation in which you charged. Assault ints have a built in fight twice + 3apl + 15 wounds + the added defense from dueller + rending + assault doctrine tac ploy (if you charge then fight reroll any/all attack rolls, 1cp) when you combine all these you get 6 swol space marines sewing savagery and slaughter. Slap a World Eaters/ Khorne berserker paint scheme on them and your kill team is ready to send skulls straight to the throne. Tac ops? Dont need them, no self respecting person screams "Points for the Point God, and secondary objectives for the Secondary Objective Throne!"
@@johnymcloda7263 Great catch on Vantage Point, now I lose worse 🤣 I let her take seek and destroy for the sake of ease of Tacops......never would I allowthis heresey in a regular game!

@@3StoWoundGood stuff! Glad everyone had fun. It will be interesting seeing what team is next.

She was a champ with it, she keeps asking me more questions since the game, she may have the bug now!

This was a blast to watch & has got me slightly more interested in painting my grey plastics :p
We all need a little extra motivation sometimes.....now back to my "Pile of oppurtunity" as I call it!

Man alive, Pathfinders - i hope you guys can work through this troubling new development.
It's been tough

Describing your wife as a hobby is definitely a choice 😂
I am very passionate about my hobbies so I count it as a positive!
F in the chat for this man's wife army pick
