Many may think, well this is an atlantian ship, surely it wont have the same chevrons as the milky way as that that are in the ones used by mckay in atlantis tv series.. Been as the one used by SG1 here. must be obvious that atlantian scientist made a new one and used the milkyway chevrons I didnt think o neill had the gene until the ancient wall device.. By the alternate timeline o'neill wouldnt have it
One thing always irritated me as a fan of the SG-1 series: Why they never use handgrenades or automatic grenade-launchers, when always outnumbered? JUST those FN90's...a SPAS12 would have been nice sometimes too🙄
They used the SPAS12 against replicators numerous times. As for GLs, the gate teams role is light recon and diplomatic. They arent rolling out there with Humvees. An auto GL is heavy. The M203 is shown in use by gate teams, and in a few episodes, some teams are rolling with AT4 and Stingers.
They used SPAS12 and AA-12 in some episodes. In SGA they even used .50 cal in the end of the season 1. And like Daniel said, SG-1 was a light recon and diplomatic team. But other teams like SG-3 were all marines. They would probably had some heavy equipment
Realistically they should have used army Special Forces aka Green Berets as they were tailor made for Indigenous encounters and setting up working alliances like they did with the Hmong, Kurds and Northern Alliance. Also the Navy should've been crewing the X303's as they functioned like subs and aircraft carriers.
So glad they changed his character. He's way over the line of unlikeable in this and the groping is way out of character. McKay isn't seedy. Hewlett seems uncomfortable here too.
I guess this version of McKay lacks the citrus allergy since he eats a lemon in one scene.

O neill had the gene since his birth, similar to Sheppard. Else the wall device wouldn't have responded to him.

Yeah, McKay on SG-1 is written a bit…off.

Or how about All Terrain Vehicles in some places instead of walking?

That's the point of this version.
