@@southerndraw935 I've always had an affinity for Mann's soft plastics. I think Tom's ideas were ahead of his time. It was great to see Jr taking over and telling stories about his mom and dad actually manufacturing their lures by hand, on Retro Bassin's ICAST episode recently.
@@southerndraw935 yes! I just looked it up. The "Weedless Rat". I totally remember it. I was a teenager and settled for Rattle Traps. So I never tried one. But I would burn the same Trap all week long until it literally stopped rattling. The funny part is I never did catch anything on one that stopped rattling.
From what i see, it appears that the hooks may be oriented to be so weedless that the hookup rate will be jeopardized. Everytime he bent the body you can see it stay stiff about half way down. Hooks too long maybe? Just some initial thoughts. Great idea. Im still willing to try the Zoo Dog out.
I have too. I tried all the ones that don't come with a harness that have been made through the years. they just don't have the action or water displacement. these sound like they're selling well.
I've been waiting for a WEEDLESS spook for a long time. It looks awesome!
Only took 100 years for somebody to invent one 😂
@@miamiwax5504 t meant a real one that didn't look junky.
The Mann Lure company had these without the tail years ago in the 90s

Nothing new.. We fished lures like that in the 1980's in Florida.

3 hits no hook ups yet...kinda has me thinking the hook arrangement may not be good.
