Whatever the arc of his career may end up when he entered the sport as a professional I don't think we've ever seen someone who so utterly outclassed everyone else in his weight class before. I don't think it is too much hyperbole to say that he is one of the greatest featherweights to ever lace up. It would have been incredible to see a young Lomachenko go up against Inoue. I would pay very good money to see that bout. Loma's footwork, handwork, tactics, and strategy as a fighter along with the work ethic and eclectic training just put him so far out of his opponent's ability to defend it is incredible.
He's never had a single fight that it would have been better to be the opponent going into the final round, IMO. He's always beat himself. Every loss, he's been in control of the fight at the final bell with his opponents saying things like "he knows everything I'm doing".
Loma is proof that you can be highly "technical" and not be boring to watch.
