Isn't the apple bread from a recipe featured in Delicious Rendezvous? Not sure if the chef took inspiration directly from the show but I'm actually really happy to see it being made by chefs and vendors! For those that don't know Delicious Rendezvous is a korean food show that promotes local ingredients in order to help farmers with sales. One episode in particular features the apple men bo xia (the deep fried apple bread) that was created in order to help apple farmers. They actually tell you the recipe in the show for those of you interested making it yourself.
The vendor did got the inspiration from Delicious Rendezvous and she told Baek Jong Won that she tried it. Then fortunately she got consultation from Baek Jong Won and Yang Sehyung came to teach her how to make it perfectly. It was aired on Baek Jong Won's Restaurant Alley by the way🙂
I do remember this menu on SBS' Delicious Rendezvous! Happy that it really applied by Koreans. Hope it can help the farmers increasing the apple price ❤
