tbf Ruperts Shelter idea of digging into the ground isn’t a bad idea and it was done by many native tribes. being underground helps with temperature and wind but it was just a really stupid idea to build it that close to the ocean and especially in a rainforest if your roof isn’t waterproof lol
This is one of the best or the best reward challenge in survivor history. Sad they don't do it epic like that nowadays. Every once in a while, I do come back to watch this.
For what its worth, building a shelter underground like that will allow for a much cooler shelter. Unforturnately, they spent their entire time digging so they didn't add anything else for comfort.
Feel bad for Mogo Mogo, what they did looked pretty solid and definitely would have won against a lot of possible competition, but Chapera just had this from the moment Rafa saw their shelter.

I read some time ago that Ethan agreed with Jerri - however, since he already had a target on his back as a prior winner, he didn't have her back by speaking up. The takeaway here to me was: always listen to Jerri - she's usually right. Also, since Rupert was supposed to be an expert, this saying would apply: amateurs built the Ark; experts built the Titanic.
