Same vibes as Left for Dead 2 versus mode, I played that soooo much and go back to it even now to play it once in a while. You get to play as the special infected.
reminds me of another early access survival shooter type called BIGFOOT where you can play the hunters vs bigfoot or one of the players can be bigfoot.
Always psyched to see you excited over something new, gets me hyped. Not sure I really understand the point of playing as the alien other than messing with players, but it looks dope.
If i were blindfolded entire time when you explaining the game in the beginning i would've guessed Lethal company
so its taken the role of Dying lights hunter game mode and made it a full game. nice!

I hope it does well. Last early access extraction game I played was Marauders. Excellent concept, completely dropped by the devs. Filled with hackers and they ignored the reports until it was too late, last I checked nobody was playing it. Icing on the cake, the steam forums has an unmarked moderator called Macdallan that is there 24/7, if you call him out for always being there and always defending the game you get banned from the forums.
The original thing they had looked way better, it was simple like alien isolation with friends
Adding verity of aliens to play as would be cool to see, as well as seeing some PVP gameplay might interest me more into trying it but for beta stage it looks good so far.

Really interesting design idea with the asymmetrical gameplay. Don't know how much I like the idea of the "scav" gameplay being only PvP focused.
When playing as a human you have other things to focus on (looting, inventory management, weapons, other humans, etc) but it looks like the creature gameplay is just focused on getting humans, right? It feels kinda like it's gonna be the go to for trolls who just want to game ruin since unlike typical scav gameplay there's no real drive or incentive for avoiding combat. Def like the aesthetic choices, if my laptop can run it I'll probably give it a look.
I think it's just wording so his tarkov only audience isn't lost, but it's clearly not scav like it's just a PVP game with humans or monsters, sort of left 4 dead type where you decide to survive/loot or just go full hunting mode and that's it.
Oh I just thought the scav reference would explain the role of the monster the best. As you're gonna be using the monster to farm exp and other things

It's a cool idea! I've played thousands of hours of Natural Selection and NS2, all I could think watching this is how much I want this game to take on a bunch of NS2's mechanics and creature design/movement/abilities etc , it'd work so well together :D
I think they have a solid foundation for a successful game!

Also, there was an excellent game called Natural Selection (2), i wish it would get a new version with a modern engine one day. It's such a cool mix of RTS and FPS...

The setting is sick but the gameplay looks like it would get boring fast. I don't think this one will last very long.
ah, but sadly I only got to try one map cuz my schedule didn't fit with the other playtests. I actually wish them the best because the attention to detail, graphics, performance and ideas are all awesome
@@fairTX I hope so too! We definitely need some more life in the extraction shooter genre and this game has an amazing premise, hopefully the devs can build a strong community and player base

i played 2 games of this today and uninstalled. no idea what im doing. go in with nothing but a couple of guns with no ammo, an axe and some light sticks. i find nothing of use and die twice to the monster player who comes out of nowhere with no sound queues or anything and kills me. not fun

Its gonna die 2 months after releasing, many games tried this game loop and all failed
I've played a fair share of extraction shooters in the past few years or so, but I feel like the saturation of the genre has started to make me not enjoy it as much. Tarkov was that itch i always craved throughout earlier years in life but now there's more games, I'm feeling a tiny bit less intrigued by the genre overall and I cannot pinpoint the reason either but this game seriously might be the new itch if I don't get into Helldivers or the game doesn't go in a personally enjoyable direction for sure

I like the PvE of such games, but have nothing but bad experiences with the PvP part of them, so hard pass from me.
You only accept getting killed by a camper right at extract so many times in a row.
Eh... I think I learnt my lesson pretty well the last time I bought a tinyBuild game.
They are scum, absolute scammers.
Honestly doesn't look that fun. Feels like it may be fun for a night or two with the boys, then never to be touched again.
The bad thing is that when a monster dies, it revives/respawns again. There is no point in killing him. Overall not an interesting game.

I hate tarkov for starting this awful extraction genre. Another game where every single time you die you have to hit escape and go back to the main menu and sit in another 10 minute queue to let game try to find players for you. Bring back games where you can just join a server and enjoy the game. Players used to find a server, now the server finds players- its backwards.

Honestly I'm never the one to hype games up before I try them out first. This game might succeed, it might fail, just like any other. once it's ready for a larger audience we'll have a better understanding of its future, but from what I've experienced it's really immersive and fun.

I had an awesome time with the playtest. The good thing is the whole server was populated by players and the performance an input were amazing. I wish this game takes off
