FASTEST Electric Scooter I've Ever Tested! Inmotion RS FULL REVIEW!

- Опубликовано: 9 май 2024
- The most impressive acceleration of any scooter I've tried yet, this Inmotion RS is meant to give you that rush similar to a motorcycle. Buyer beware, you will get addicted and ride it twice a day. I've racked up over 800 miles in the first month, and loved every second of it.
84v x 50a = 8400 watts = 11.3 Horsepower or about the equivalent of a 125cc bike at redline.
The speed is impressive and the scooter build quality is the best I've ridden yet. The battery and controller design alone is something I bet many other brands will emulate. The internals are truly superior and a step forward in a way that the scooter industry has needed to move for years.

I can't wait to see what else Inmotion comes up with next, very innovative and receptive company. They are taking the feedback very well and I expect this scooter to be perfected soon. As for now it rides so amazing I can't get enough.
Thanks for watching, appreciate you, let me know what questions you have in the comments!

UPDATE: 1500 miles on the dash and the scooter is still running flawlessly. We decided to get the RS Lite for Jordyn, check out her first ride video here:

What camera are you using. It’s weird in a good way. It is brighter than other videos on RUclips.
1 wide pothole = death
I’m fucking crying bc imagine🤣🤣
I fell off a scooter going 15 and broke my thumb and almost my hip, I can’t even imagine. But also people ride motorcycles.
Did you think about the shock system
?
@@Peedydropdu Just as dangerous as a motor cycle for the same reasons. Logs rocks and slopes. But fair point about potholes
I'm glad that INMOTION started providing the thumb throttle as a free gift with the RS now. For 4k buckaroos i think that was a smart move on their part :)
I agree. I can't tell you the number of times I've whiskey throttled mine.
They do not... I've checked both voromotors and inmotion website and neither say it comes with I
Agreed, nice they give people the option, most brands you are kinda stuck with whatever it is stock
@@ScootaGang they don't. It's literally not available
I can imagine a cop seeing you fly down the highway and he just tosses his drink out
😂😂😂😂😂😂
Dukes of Hazzard
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Cool video, I got the blue haze version a few weeks ago and I'm extremely impressed with the overall performance of this ride. I was deciding between this, the gtr, rx7 and the roadster. No regrets, definitely made the right choice for me. I agree about getting a couple years of riding before leveling up to a scooter like this.
Great and honest review! I've ridden and own a lot of scooters now, the RS is the best so far IMO!
Thanks they are definitely setting the bar very high with this scooter, will be hard to top it
Cool video. Very informative. Definitely know your scooters. Ride safe 🚀✌️💯🙏
Glad to see you finally reviewing this one. They also have a black and a light version
Thanks! Also a new blue version too! Nice to see some color options and hopefully many more to come!
My boy riding with Shoulders out 😂😂. Bro you wild. I got some nice scars from falling with sleeves on cant imagine w/o
thats a sweet scooter i just bought an vsett 9+apex im excited for it
That’s pretty crazy how fast it is
You start seeing everyone with scooters lol supper dope
Damn! Impressive as Ever my bro! 😎👊
Hey bro thanks for all your tips with this scooter, really appreciate you!
@ScootaGang your welcome im hoping to do more. I heard people having an even better plushy suspension with the Nami Burn E Max Suspension springs being put on the RS over the stock ones so im thinking of trying it out. The suspension springs ate a bit pricey for each one so it might take me a bit to get them. But i figured as long as i learn how to install one of them, i can make a video showing how to install the second one as it will be the same as the first one and sharing links to all the parts required for the suspension mod.
You need to try adjusting the suspension height... I lifted the rear suspension 1 position, which slants the deck forward slightly... it puts the handlebar forward slightly and gives better grip on the deck when accelerating!
11:26 that is good to know that when you pay even 4k the tires come out of balance. Tire shake is a deal breaker for me. So important that the wheels come balanced. I was looking at some wheels and do not see a way to attach standard wheel weights to them. Balancing is not hard to do but need to have a place to attach them and you do not want those weights flying off.
Pretty standard not many scooters you will find that dont' shake on the stand. Vsett 11+ super has the least vibrations if that matters to you try that scooter.
I was thinking about this, I wonder if those internal balancing beads might work for this. They are typically used for larger commercial and offroad tires, so they might be too big, but the idea is there.
Personally I’d just use balance beads
There is such a thing as subtractive balancing also, if there is enough material thickness you can use removal.
Intro be hard as hell. Where can find the full version?
Nice Video Scoota
Can you provide a link for that carbon handlebar?
Thanks!
Are you losing out a ton if I get the lite version or the normal. As the lite is mostly affordable (1k cheaper) than the normal, do you think I would be missing much by getting the lite.
That’s a beast of a scooter 💪💪😬
I know you’ve tried the Nami blast max.
I have the nami blast max currently and I’m thinking of switching to the Inmotion rs.
As you have ridden both, which one has more torque?
Which one is better overall?
This has more power for sure. You can do the math to compare by multiplying Volts times controller amps:
RS is 84v X 50a(2x) = 8400 watts
Blast is 67v X 50a(2x)= 6700 watts
8400/6700= 1.25 or about 25.4% more power then the blast.
I really wish they would just make the Blast 72v, it would prob be one of the best scooters on the market if they just made the power comparable to other scooters that size.
I've had my midnight edition up to 66mph gps. I weigh 150lbs. I opted for midnight for the better water proofing as I live in Seattle
@@ScootaGangthanks for your reply.
I know it’s more powerful but I was really wondering about the torque.
Let’s say acceleration until 40mph.
Because even though the Blast max is a 60v, it is a fake 60v and torches a lot of 72v scooters until 30mph.
I torched a thunder 2 last time until 30mph while it’s much more powerful and is a 72v scooter.
So I was really wondering if the inmotion rs had much more torque or it was kind of equivalent.
I always value torque over top speed.
37:00 That grom driver scene in the end was epic🤣🛴💨
Hahaha yeah had to show him the speeeeeeeed
I noticed that most e-scooters don’t have rearview mirrors. What’s your thought on that? Should they or not needed?
Bikes don’t have any. They are not needed on scooters neither. Just turn your head.
I've installed a couple and they are somewhat useful but definitely you still need to turn your head either way to check blind spots so it's not really saving you anything. Most useful thing about the mirror is to look behind you at stop lights to check for cops or whatever but when you are at speed they aren't very useful.
Imo going at slower cruising speeds neck starts getting tired if you constantly check for cars. Large mirrors and peripheral vision help turning head less🤷🏼♂️
Hello kind sir, I’ve been watching these videos but having some hard time choosing a scooter.
I came across the evercross A1. Is this a good choice ?
Does the thumb throttle from Inmotion comes with a replacement handlebar grip as well?
I balance the wheels on my scooter and it's way smoother. I believe it will also help from putting undue wear on the scooter by removing those high frequency vibrations . Also those vibrations are transmitting right into your hands and arms. Just my opinion. Love this scooter the RS !
Beautiful scooter. The one issue I have with all of the super scooters produced today is that you can't just correct for larger riders by beefing up the suspension and motors and call it a day. They build these things as if the average height of the rider is under 6', in most cases well under that. You can gain so much more room AND overall control of these rigs by simply making the deck longer and wider. Increasing the wheelbase by 10" completely changes your ride by allowing the foot to sit farther back on the kick plate. Another win win is the added room for larger batteries and mechanics in the under deck space. I'm 6'4" 250 and by fabricating an extension for my rig, it feels like a rocket ship on rails. Just one guys opinion. Great review on one of the premiere rigs out there.
Yeah scooting is definitely tailored to small people. But small people also get way more benefits from the scooter so it makes sense to optimize for them. Someone with half your weight literally gets double the range. IT makes it much less enticing for big people to buy one, since you get way less use out of it. But I'm glad you were able to customize the ergonomics enough to make it fit, good work.
I am 6ft 6in 220lbs, I can say that I won't comfortably fit on on it!
Lol the avg height is under 6ft but weight is another story
I really value your reviews and enjoy your content. If you have an opportunity to review the new Mantis X Plus, please do! Thanks again for the quality content as always, ride safe ❤
Thank you! We might get the new Mantis this year but I do think those are solid buys, had a few different versions in the past they were all up to my standards. Kaabo is def a name brand you can trust
Is it possible to drive on gravel, pebbles and other rough surfaces with such tires? Will nothing happen to her? Or will it cut itself quickly?
Let me ask you man, i just got the haze blue one of the new colors they came up with, well out the box it was 67% battery, i elevated the scooter to text it out, i wasnt getting the top speeds like you did when u hit on the throttle. It was going slow like 25 mph even on gear 4, its that a problem or i need to unlock the speed ?
I'm trying to remember but I think you had to connect the app to unlock the scooters full power.
Hi bro i hope you will review also the yume hawk mid level in there line up at cheap price for the spec people will love to watch that in your channel compering to other series hope you will see my comment thanks
Nice One Bruh. The RS is truly Beast Mode. Thank goodness I'm too Old and don't have the kahunas to Flex Like Scoota Gang on the Emove Roadster. 🤣😅😂
Lol it ain't about flexing I just show what the brands ask me to show. Trust me we don't post the majority of the fast clips on these scooters. Some things are not for the public eye yet
@@ScootaGang Word. I hear you and I feel you. Same here. ✊
That scooter is fire🗿🔥
Yeah it's one of the good ones for sure
I def need to get me and my daughter some scoots.
Hey bud what grips did you put on your RS they look great?
Hey! Is it okay if I ask for a recommendation from you? Like what's a good scooter that has super minimal maintenance like solid tires and such that goes about 30 to 35 miles per hour. Thanks in advance brother☝️
Cant wait for mines coming on monday, i got the Haze blue from inmotion, limited edition only 70 of them made, i hope i like it, it looks bad ass. 😆 may ask you did you change the handle bar on this one, if you did would you send me the link where you get it? Please thanks, If you dont mind
Awesome you picked a nice scooter! I'm excited for you!
The handlebars I have are the 760 mm riser on this listing: amzn.to/3UVXm16
Thinking of this or the emove for my commute to work. My current one is a T88PLUS and I average 20 miles for the day without having the chance to charge till I get home for about 6 hours. Any recommendations would be nice. I’m ready for a faster scooter.
Ive had my RS for 3 mos. Definitely the most exillerating thing l have ever purchased. I cannot get the collaboration ro work on either throttle or vehicle. Not sure why. Non the less, Amazing product by Inmotion. Get it now before the terrifs go up. Wai.....They just did!!!😮😮😮.
What do you mean you can't get the collaboration?
Adding another scooter to my fleet would you recommend getting this scooter or the wolf King GTR?
Hey what helmet and knee pads you rocking?
Any safe ways to keep it from being stolen while hitting the store or something? Any good spots on it to put a chain on?
I never leave it out of my sight. Add a gps tracker. Don't want to rely on chains or locks a smart thief can usually cut those in a few seconds with a portable angle grinder.
NICE
So if I’m a guy on the bigger side what scooter do you recommend for my first one ?
opening track dope!!!
RS or revised Burn E 2 Max? I bought the Nami super happy with it. haven't even tried turbo on mode yet
Both top scooters all comes to your personal preferences!
Where did you get those hand grips!?
Do we need to register it since it goes about 70 mph?
Was going to buy this from Wyrd rides and bought the Nami Burn E 2 max with the PMT’s from them instead. No regrets. Personally to me doesn’t matter about the couple extra miles top speed this has. Ride quality on the Nami is killer and its a lighter scoot.
You’ve ridden both which one you picking?
Great video as usual brother 💪🛴💯
I live in Iowa as well we should link 🔗 up
same. I bought the Max as well with PMTs from WYRD RYDS. Updated the thumb throttle to the polish finger throttle and much better feeling than that thumb throttle. In X mode I didn't feel great not having my thumb wrapped around the handlebar while the Max pulls me like that. As you know it's intense! Finger throttle much better and easy plug n play and I only have just over 80 miles clocked in so far. I'm liking Eco mode for slow cruising at 20mph or so. No regrets either! my first PEV and it's amazing! Our Nami has been out for awhile and problems ironed out which I like. RS is first generation so we don't know longevity how those will hold up or how Inmotion will do years to come if they continue making them.
YOOO Iowa Gang that's awesome! Nami and this are equal specs and both great scooters. Can't go wrong with either choice! ( They are about the same top speed btw some reviewers are just lying about it, I believe they are both about 63 mph scooters)
@@ScootaGang I compared the 2 reviews you did and if I'm being honest it sounded like you had a better time more fun with Nami 😎😉
It'll be interesting to see how inmotion does in the future with the scooter game
Hello, im looking for a great long range scooter for full throttle all the way, whats the range if i full throttle quickest setting on this rs?
Another widow maker. I guess I'll never understand the kind of mind that needs a scooter that goes this fast.
Bro all it takes is a stick and you die😂💀
How big is this thing? I was thinking about buying the rs light from veromotors but I don’t wanna huge scooter
It's huge. Absolutely massive. I don't think the light is any smaller, maybe just a hair ligher from the smaller battery and motors but the same frame as this.
Hey, at 2:28 you showed the carbon fiber handle bar, where did you purchase that?
Target
where did you get the grips?
Can you reccomend a good starter scooter, before I buy this one? Zero experience at all.
Hi my friend, can you give me the handlebar which place you bought it? You’re the best.❤
Inmotion RS or Dualtron Thunder 3? What would you chose?
I'm kinda steering away from daultrons after I had a thunder in for repairs. They might be great scooters, but they are really difficult to do simple repairs like change the rotor or motor just because of how the motor wires are designed. It's really disappointing when basically every other brand has moved to quick disconnects and yet dualtron wants you to cut and solder on new connectors to do the same simple repair.
How’s the locking/folding mechanism? Sturdy enough?
Good enough for me at 200 lbs. Not sure I would try it if you over 300 lbs but I'm also not an engineer...
@@ScootaGang 👍
What handlebar and grips?
Got the midnight edition as my first electric scooter 😅.
I don’t know why they don’t put proper steering dampers on these like on motorcycles
I was on the fence about the built in one on this but it does a great job once you get it tightened down. Scooters will never be as stable as motorcycles the wheels are simply too small imo. There's a couple wepeds that are much larger tires that ride more like motorcycles if that's what you really interested in but they are massive scooters.
Great video i was just wondering where did you order the handle grips from ? Also the upgraded handle bar as well thanks!
What happens if you hit a small rock in the road at that speed?
How much is the one that’s 70 miles a hour
be careful, mate 🙏🏻
Do you need a motorcycle license to ride these on the highway or on large roadways?
Why every time you got next to a car it looked like they were turning towards you?
2:20 I was about to ask about the CF handlebar... yeah, twist, or half-twist on scooters is totally wrong. Makes sense for a seated motorcycle, not for a stand up scooter, as you need the handlebar for holding (for life)
It’s sad that we can’t have those things in Germany
How do you like this compared to your Nami?
this is what I'm wondering too. I bought the revised Burn E 2 Max from WYRD RYDS and I like it a lot. updated the throttle to a finger throttle so that with PMTs it's a blast. It's like a electric Vrod type Harley Davidson the way it's built and I like compared to the toyish looking other pev scooters but I'm bias too. I like the look of the Nami is timeless to me and refined looking.
Nami is nice and spec for spec it will keep up. But to me the internals of this scooter are far superior. Really depends if you like the open concept on the nami or want something more finished.
@@ScootaGang yes, the internals look top tier from when I watched gingerwheels review. We will see how the rs improves over time. I like the BMS app control too. Nami doesn't have
@ScootaGang cool. I appreciate your input! Yes the rs does look more finished, but I like the nami smaller footprint as well.
Please test out the OSPREY from yume!!! Or the YUME11+ for us budget people!
Ive topped out my cbr 1000 at 187mph. And i was scared watching you go 60 on that scooter
Lol this actually rides really damn good at high speeds, you would be surprised
691miles of range. That's insane
I check everyday to see if they are on sale
I'll ask if they are doing a sale anytime soon, I think a lot of people are waiting in the same boat.
Heads up, that same throttle can be bought on Amazon 10-20 bucks. Just make sure you get the waterproof connector and it’s right handed. I bought one and upgraded my scooter.
Are you sure it works for the RS? send a link please
Please do a kukirin bro 🙏 😢❤
Sheesh how many scooters do u got in your fleet now looks like minimum 8
You should also try the GTR from Kaabo…
I am not saying that RS is no good,
But will be great to you to compare both models.
I'll prob wait for the next Kaabo model they are about due to release a new wolf.
@ScootaGang it be nice it they can make it a bit lower than the current GTR. For a dude the size of a gnome like my self its a workout to be climbing up and down that thing lol! Thats why i got the RS 😂
@@THEAVERAGEGUY1983 Same, I saw the GTR in person a couple times and just wasn't my style. Lowriding RS is much more appealing to me for a lot of reasons
Love it when passing cars bet they are thinking. Wtf zooooommmmmm
I just got one yeah does 50mph but has a mile range of 101 miles
Must have the strong heart my heart rate hits 200 beats per min on the vsett
You get used to it after awhile but yeah be careful with your adrenaline levels when you first get these hyperscooters it's intense
is this legal in the US?
Ayeee 💪
YOOO 🛴💨
I would want to get one but I’d be in constant fear of just clipping the wheel and dying 😭
What’s up with a deal on one of those mukuta?
$1500, Local pickup only in Coralville, IA
Im scared watching 😂
How far can u get on it rippin around top speed miles
40 miles under aggressive riding. You could easily double that if you are going slow and a lightweight rider but 40 miles is about the minimum range I am getting under extreme conditions.
Hi from Greece! I think we are globally fighting for e scooters, I charge mine with a solar panel and that's free transportation right there, I have a driver license I actually replaced most of my car usage with the scooter! United we'll make them allowed everywhere as they should be, and no government or company should try and profit of us, no taxes should be introduced, or else it breaks the very goal of it...
Bonjour c’est quoi le modèle du guidon de la inmotion rs carbone merci pour la réponse
So would you say this is the best scooter for this price range?
I couldn’t imagine what people think see that please them at 10-15 over
I literally came to the comments to see the thoughts on Potholes.
The INMOTION RS display throttle looks accurate compared to GPS.
Yes, one of the most accurate I've ever reviewed. The app reading is about 2-3 mph high, but the screen is almost exactly correct.
Shout out Kyle from Nelk he got serious & became a police officer‼️‼️👏👏👏👏👏
Is this actually street legal or?
The roads look bad lol
Bro that’s scary asf
You got it in P, you gotta change it to X
Those modes don't actually work for me. I tried them all and it reverts back to P by itself. I don't think they actually change anything there's no noticeable difference between them
Please bless me with a scooter scootagang mine is about to die in the next couple months and i want a hyper scooter so bad. I have a job i go to several miles away work 8 hrs and ride back home around 12am everynight. I cant afford a scooter anytime soon
It's a great scooter but there is something to know that is not indicated anywhere in the description and which is decisive in choosing a scooter of this size. If I had had this information I would not have bought this scooter. because I do big rides and that is very disabling for me. it is impossible to charge at a power higher than 12 amps... it is the only scooter on the market which limits the charging power like this...
I asked the after-sales service if it was possible to increase the limit by updating the BMS but they told me that it was impossible
I think in general if you need more then 30-40 miles range you should prob ride a motorcycle. No hate but scooters are designed for short range and motorcycles will always be superior for longer distance. Same way a dirt bike will always be superior off road then any scooter no matter if they call it an "off road scooter"
And it's definitely not the only scooter that limits the charge amps, I've blown enough fuses and charge ports to know this. Even a wolf warrior can't charge at 10a the fuse will melt.
