Felix wouldn't work in the Emery system. You watch Watkins, Rogers, Tielemans they all press from the front. If he is coming in would rather a loan to see if he can fit in rather than blowing a load of cash and having him on crazy high wages
Going from 50k a week to around 300k a week is difficult to turn down. Realistically he could get the bag for a couple and come back at 24/25 and still do a lot in Europe
Nah he's gone for the rest of his career now realistically he ain't gonna be happy taking a huge wage cut for harder work just to play in Europe once you go Saudi and earn silly money I think it's near impossible to come back
@@lewis6478 I hear that but after 3 years he'd have over £30M which is insane, he could be content after that if he's only getting 150k+ a week 😂 Henderson back in Europe after Saudi, same with Jota (Celtic) & Saint-Maximin. I think it just depends on your agent/team around the player tbh
Don't worry watkins isn't going to leave it is just to make arsenal fans happy villa have always been clear they wouldn't ever take less then 100 mill for watkins zoo for arsenal to bid 50m is just to save face they don't have that kind of money and they knew villa would reject it . They could have just nodded 80mill for haaland and might have had more chance
@Matthewbaker1991 I disagree. Morgan Rogers is key for villa. Watkins needs service and chances on the 6 yard box. He can create a half yard to get a shot off and a clinical finisher but he doesn't drop deep to get the ball if he's not getting service. He's pretty one dimensional which works fine if he gets quality service
@@YungNoDussy lol. I love him but Watkins is an average finisher at best - verging on poor at times. And he drops deep literally all the time and runs the channels, that's where his strength lies. So what you're saying is total nonsense.
Have to disagree about the Duran banter. He is making the right move for his career. The player attains a huge sum to set himself up, and can learn from one of the best ever. He is young enough to return to Europe in a couple of seasons. Great business by Villa as well.
You really think he's going to return to Europe lol? No you don't go to Saudi earn silly money then return to Europe and be happy with a fraction of the wage he was earning for harder work
He's taking the money. Even if he does score 20 goals it's some terrible joke league that nobody watches or cares about. His value outside of that made up league is now pennies. He could have played for any top club

It was said that if Duran leaves, then Watkins needs to stay. But if Felix or Asensio comes in. Then what does that mean for Watkins especially knowing Malen has signed for Villa too.
Those players are mainly wingers/attacking midfielders who can occasionally play as strikers. Duran is an out and out striker, so more of a rival to Watkins I guess.
If Arsenal thinks Watkins is the answer to gain advantage on winning the EPL then I have a bridge to sell them…… NEVER will he change the trajectory for Arsenal ……
Watkins is exactly who we need. We cannot simply go out and buy a Haaland or a Gyokeres. Man Utd risked 70 mil on Hojlund, he's not awful but Watkins is better. Who could we realistically get that would be worth the risk of a £70m+ fee? Bearing in mind Arsenal bid £60m for Watkins... Fickle fans forget everything Watkins has done for us. He grafts like no-one else, no drama, consistently gets in scoring positions, and puts away + assists enough to get us to top 4 last year and now CL top 8 this year. Yes the misses are frustrating, but he still scores. He deserves far more respect from these online fans.
@@paulhiggins1577 Fantastic player, would love him at the club. Not a centre forward of Watkin's pedigree. They both have 10 league goals this season, Watkins has 5 assists to Cunha's 4. Looks good for a younger player... but then compare last season, it's night and day. I see him more as a 10 or winger than 9. Would love to see him complement Watkins, but he's not a replacement
@@trytwicelikemice3190 I reckon the best idea is to use the Duran money to buy Cunha today and tell Arsenal they can have Watkins when the season ends.

@ShtOnThecity well under Emery this season we had gone backwards and Duran put the club where they are now and Emery couldn't handle that and that is why he did nothing to stop him leaving
