Our vets are the reason we are free! They are true heroes! Who they themselves and there families sacrifice so much! And often times there lives! So I can follow my dreams! Stand behind our soldiers! God bless this great and wonderful nation! Thank you Jesus for these wonderful men and women!!!
We're still holding on til they all come home. Even the ones that are here are still gone sometimes. Pray for our Veterans in need. God Bless You for this wonderful song.
Darrin Vincent is probably the best of the best. He has a way of presenting a song so sincerely that you almost live it through him - no pretenses, no holding a note until someone applauds, just pure simple wonderful talent. This song is an awesome tribute to the veterans. Thank you, Darrin!!!!
Darrin is one of my favs. I got a hug from him last year at the tapings of this year's shows. I told him what a beautiful voice he has. Jamie is no slouch either.
I lost my youth and soul in Vietnam along with many friends. Now I'm a old Marine sitting along at nigh and even tho I'm back in the USA I'm still trying to come home. Maybe some day I'll make it.
My brother served in Vietnam. We were the lucky ones...he came home. He served 30 years in the Army. He passed away in March and is buried at Quantico National Cemetery. We were treated so well by them. So proud of him and his service. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Looking forward to seeing your show in Knoxville IA. In Feb. That is my Anniversary gift from my husband. So excited to see you all . Got VIP tickets.for Feb 2023.
Times were hard but they were fun In 1941 The year that Jim and Catherine fell in love They were graduating college Their heads were full of knowledge And visions of taking on the world But Uncle Sam and those Pearl Harbor bombs Pulled Jim away from Catherine's arms Then along came Vietnam In 1961 The year that Bob and Mandy said "I do" They bought a house outside the city Everything was sitting pretty But again old Uncle Sam said "I need you" Bob said "Mandy, honey I'll be back Don't you worry, you can count on that" And as the headlines rolled Every mother prayed Every father layed awake The whole night through Every brother bragged Every sister cried Every hometown across this land held on Til they came home Times were hard but they were fun In 1991 The year that John and Sally said goodbye He held two kids in his arms As she left for Desert Storm John could see the sadness in her eyes He watched her sail away navy blue Up on the quarter deck in full salute And as the headlines rolled Every mother prayed Every father layed awake The whole night through Every brother bragged Every sister cried Every hometown across this land held on Til they came home Some came home as heroes Proud to be back Some came home as heroes Covered with the flag And as the headlines rolled Every mother prayed Every father layed awake The whole night through Every brother bragged Every sister cried Every hometown across this land held on Til they came home Every hometown across this land holds on Til they come home

Tears in my eyes
Times were hard but they were fun
In 1941
The year that Jim and Catherine fell in love
They were graduating college
Their heads were full of knowledge
And visions of taking on the world
But Uncle Sam and those Pearl Harbor bombs
Pulled Jim away from Catherine's arms
Then along came Vietnam
In 1961
The year that Bob and Mandy said "I do"
They bought a house outside the city
Everything was sitting pretty
But again old Uncle Sam said "I need you"
Bob said "Mandy, honey I'll be back
Don't you worry, you can count on that"
And as the headlines rolled
Every mother prayed
Every father layed awake
The whole night through
Every brother bragged
Every sister cried
Every hometown across this land held on
Til they came home
Times were hard but they were fun
In 1991
The year that John and Sally said goodbye
He held two kids in his arms
As she left for Desert Storm
John could see the sadness in her eyes
He watched her sail away navy blue
Up on the quarter deck in full salute
And as the headlines rolled
Every mother prayed
Every father layed awake
The whole night through
Every brother bragged
Every sister cried
Every hometown across this land held on
Til they came home
Some came home as heroes
Proud to be back
Some came home as heroes
Covered with the flag
And as the headlines rolled
Every mother prayed
Every father layed awake
The whole night through
Every brother bragged
Every sister cried
Every hometown across this land held on
Til they came home
Every hometown across this land holds on
Til they come home
What's so funny?
I'm blubbering.... oh my!
