If you experience issues running the tool, try the following:
1) Make sure you have the latest update from GitHub.
2) Make sure windows languge is set to English.
3) Run the program "as admistrator".

Yes, individual brick material behaviour can be represented using the CDP model. This of course does not include the brick-to-brick interface.

I wonna to ask you that you are not included error on ABAQUS after submission of job! for example how we can fix if the errors say " Too many attempts made for this increment". in your video of pre-tensioning when i did as you did, it say like this one. how we fix it? Your videos are A+++, I send a lot to my phd students. But promoting tutorials with tensile stress vs strain with softening, with no regularization is a HUGE mistake. The journals are rejecting a lot of papers, due to researchers now trying to do this. This problem is known since 1983 by BAZANT, using stress vs displacement instead. Please don t contribute for this "scientific confusion".

i'm glad you found the tutorials useful. The limitations associated with modeling tensile softenening using strain rather than cracking displacement are actually highlighted in another tutorials. While the latter option is generally recommended, the former is still usable under certian conditions. In any case, the choice and proper implenetation of a given modeling option relies entirely on the user who clearly must be familiar with the relvant litrature, the underlying theory and the potential consequences of the modeling choice.

I want to express my gratitude for your invaluable work. I've been attempting to simulate a cementous material using the CDP model with the assistance of your Input Generator. However, I encountered an error message while using your input generators. Could you kindly provide clarification on the units of input data modes? Additionally, I'm curious to know if your input generator is capable of modeling the CDP model with a maximum compression of 0.59 MPa and a maximum tension of 0.05?

The units are indicated in the tool interface (MPa and mm). If you observe a bug for material with low fcu, please raise an issue on Github and I will try to address it asap.

For two-dimensional models, if a non-unity thickness is specified for two-dimensional solid elements and these elements are involved in an interaction such as contact, the same thickness should be specified for the out-of-plane thickness of the corresponding surface under *surface interaction.
For *tie pair (assembly__pickedsurf7-assembly__pickedsurf6), adjusted nodes with very small adjustments were not printed. Specify *preprint,model=yes for complete printout.

You can use the generated values directly as input in Abaqus

Hello Dr. Ahmed .... I want to thank you for this fantastic informative video regarding CDP. Can you please guide regarding calibration? How to calibrate CDP using Abaqus? My model behavior doesn't match with material behavior?
Please be aware that the CDP model (and any material model that involves stress softening) is mesh-dependadnt. Therefore the response will change with the mesh size. You will need to calibrate the mesh size for a given material CDP definition.

Dr. Ahmed when I assigned all properties of the CDP model on projectile penetration on the concrete portion. The Mises stress (average) and strain (average) behave live stress-strain of steel and not behave like stress-strain curve of assigned concrete materials. So, what will be the possible region? @@AElkady

fcu is equivalent to fck, fck cube, or fcm according to Eurocode?
fcu is equivelant to the compressive strength based on a cylinder test.
@@AElkady Eurocode defines
fck as Characteristic cylinder compressive strength
and
fcm as Mean cylinder compressive strength
both are strength based on a cylinder test
but I don't know which one is equivalent to Fcu

The CDP Model Input Generator worked perfectly with me but then an error popup saying "Unrecognized function or variable ´ctfroot´. Error in --> runtimeInitializationChecks.m at line 23". Please I would like to know how could we solve this problem to run the tool again. Thank you!
