I like to watch videos like this one to see roads I have ridden or could ride. It is one of many roads to the coast of NSW from the Highlands/Tablelands that are all good motorcycle riding roads with twists and turns and long sweeping bends. I ridden a few bikes mainly big cruisers 1100 or 1700 and a few scooters MP3 400 and Suzuki 650 and I've totaled about 200K/kms without an accident so I feel I have some basis on which to comment. This is a popular road for motorcyclists but is also used by general traffic including cars, trucks and buses. There are few passing opportunities and the shoulders where they exist are narrow meaning there isn't much room for cars to move over. My advice; ride to your own skill and comfort level. Not every rider nor every bike can handle this road as shown in the video. Big, heavy cruisers cannot be tossed around as easily. I suggest obeying all speed and advisory signs and changing down to a lower gear on some bends just to feel safe, even the best disc brakes will experience some fade and wear if you use them all the time. Tailgating cars makes drivers nervous and overtaking against the line or on double lines is both illegal and dangerous. Imagine the effect on a driver of a car coming up the hill having just negotiated a tight bend. Enjoy the ride it is the important thing not the destination. Watch and enjoy the video but ride according to your ability and the conditions.
