Like many roads from the Highlands/Tablelands to the coast of NSW this is a great ride for motorcycles. Cambewarra Mountain, Clyde Mountain and Brown Mountain are all roads with twists and bends that are a joy for bikes. The same roads are used by cars, trucks and buses whose drivers are all concentrating on getting up or down safely. I have ridden a variety of bikes mostly big cruisers and big scooters and racked up over 200k/kms on them. I like watching videos like this to see roads to ride. I offer the following advice. Ride to the conditions, even in spring it is not uncommon for their to be fog and after rain there are waterfalls across the road. Obey all speed and advisory signs, even change down a gear or two. Sports bikes are light and easy to toss around, they have quick acceleration where as cruisers have longer wheel bases and are heavier. Not everyone can or should ride like the people in this video and not all bikes will handle the road like the ones in this video. Stating the obvious crossing the double lines is dangerous and illegal. Imagine the surprise of drivers coming up the hill to see bikes coming down on their side of the road. There are some over taking lanes but very few places for cars to pull over. Ride to your own skill and comfort level, it is the ride that is important not the destination nor how quickly you get there.
