Great flight, Sandra but no altimeter? I guess that's one way to get good at height estimation! Enjoying your journey immensely. Greetings from Australia ☺
We, some flying friends and ich were there in 1994. We were allone on the mountain and alone in Öludeniz, no others are there. All shops closed, doors wide open. To drive on the hill we checked a guy with a suzuki 4 wheel and payed him 10 DM. (today 5 Euro). Nice flying there, but to cold around christmas. Spain is better at this time
Hi Sandra love ❤ your videos. Couldn’t help noticing that you hooked up with your speed bar pulley to the inside. Do you always hook in like that? Or is it a mistake?
Yes that’s on purpose. I have resolved the issue since. The biners really want to flip outwards but have been forcing them in with the flight deck attachments. Now they go the right way. (Gates inward ) it was safer to let them go outward before as I kept ending up with a twist in the brake lines thinking they were forward or grabbing the A’s the wrong way around on launch No biggie but annoying!
Very nice flight! In the last three years I am coming every summer to fly in Oludeniz but I never land to Butterflies Valey. I would like to make it. Did you booked before the place in the recovery boat or you take the regular boat back to Oludeniz beach? How much cost the boat ticket do you remember?
scuse my French but bloody awesome girl , the feeling of safety once you hook into some lift mean you really get tpenjoy the flight and scenery and thats boxes ticked again big time .. just out of curiosity the landing looked tight coming in but ya nailed it , so what happens to the piolts that dont make pick up point ? other than the dreaded walk back LOL is that semi guided flight as in easy to follow route ? if i watch any more of these im getting my licence renewed and going once i get some airtime back :-)
Ha ha, do it!! Thanks! Yes those pilots that didn't make it, not sure. Ya better make it I guess! Walking out of the valley is more of a mountain climb out of there; rock faces and such. No pack is challenging from what I've heard, hauling a paragliding rig, an iron man hike, really!
Butterfly is an easy glide from any Babadag start. If for whatever reason you don't make it you can land on the main beach or even on the beach of the resort in the middle. The beach is quite long (300meters) and as long as you do not leave the wall too soon you will always have a smooth landing in the middle where there are not so many big rocks.,
1:56 A right-turner! Me too 🙂The place looks great and so does the video work! (I tend to turn my head around a lot when I'm flying which used to render my videos partially unwatchable until I got a 360 camera which cured the problem.) How did you get into paragliding? For me it was a decision made completely on a whim to go on a tandem ride in Switzerland about 10 years ago. And I had never been into aviation, never even had flying dreams (maybe once as a child). Now I _do_ have flying dreams sometimes, haha. I also have a _completely_ different view of birds now, and what they are "going through". Their spot-landing skills are most impressive. Although some of them could use a spot-landing clinic: ruclips.net/video/uTjzcRExQms/видео.html
Cute miss, but caught it in time, I was expecting sparks OMG!! I know with the head turning, I must consciously avoid too much of it while filming. You should see my generic sports cam videos before I got into GoPro's. Shake, turn, shake some more. That said, it would make for great SIV video because that's what it's like, a GoPro would make hitting a tree look smooth. Anyway, it's a long story to do with wanting to fly over water like a giant drone, (yep was going to build it!) then I saw a video of a guy soaring an endless beach ridge with cool Spanish EDM playing. It was the coolest thing I have ever seen! Then I fell in love with Geti G videos and the rest is history. Went and bought a 6 year old wing and began kiting and playing around all over the island for a year (which explains the right turn) then decided to go get help. Cheers!
9:28 It's NEVER good to land in the water!!! Especially in moving water. NEVER EVER do that! Check the safety instructions on landing in or near the sea! Lots of pilots died because of that!
I would choose water over rugged cliffs any day of the week. I agree it's not ideal and we wear life jackets to help with water landing during an SIV, so that's why SIV's are always over water. Flip a leg over the harness back to stop it from turtling you face down. I agree it can be deadly though, especially without a life jacket. I think the key is to unbuckle before hitting the water and get the hell away from the harness ASAP to avoid lines entanglement.
I want to wish everyone a Happy New Year 2023, may the year be great to you all and have many happy flying days! 🥰 Sandra
You are one sporty lady! Always love to see "grownups" enjoying the sport 😄

You all landed downwind?
Great video, nice story. I hope that one day I too will fly from Babadag.
Pretty much, wasn't much wind though, just enough to get sand in there ;)

Thanks! No it wasn't working right so didn't take it. Since fixed ready for the next adventure though, cheers!

what time is the last boat ?
At 5 PM....which is odd but that was in October so...
@@sandrainthesky1011 apparently it's the same right now
looks like a great place to fly..
Should have some lift by dynamic wind..
less command and more body in the turns..
it will change your fly..
nice..hope i can try..
Are you going to Turkey?
Why does everyone land downwind ?

Thanks! No just caught the boat back. I think it was around $12 or 260 YTL

True ... I know of cases where pilots have drowned in a small stream.

lame landing
nice leggins thou
Those are my racing flag ones, they make me go faster on better glide ;)
