Actually the thunderstorm being hyper loud is not as annoying as it initially was. It's like the warning sound when the circus arrives to the town. "Hey! Look at the screen! The spectacle is about to begin!"
Just wanted to state my appreciation for the effort you put into presenting and maintaining a schedule for your uploads. One of the most consistent and reliable content producers. Thanks.
The dining room has to be that shape so the magical energies can flow easier. The odd geometries of the walls are there to capture latent magical flow lines that appeared after the rifts opened. There I fixed the lore for you.
I watched most of your Birth of a Hive series a while back. I had no Idea this series was you as well until things started to add up. First I noticed the voice, then speed at which you play, then the thing that finally made me realize it was you was the Kenshi animals. So I was like "Hol up" I checked your previous videos and realized your the same guy. Anyway I am subbed now.
I remember watching the first sea ice play through a few years back and thinking how you deserved way more viewership than you were getting back then. Its great to see the success you have been getting nowadays
I just started watching and believe that he still doesn’t get the credit he deserves with how interactive he is with viewers being part of the story and directly assisting the story to the time he puts in with coding and setting up his play throughout I only just discovered him through his zombie series and I just want to watch all of them cause they are all so interesting
someone in the twitch apparently asked what good cantrip spells to get for all mages (or most) are, and Rhad mentioned blink and sprint, i.e., all movement spells - one thing he didn't mention is "mage light" which is incredibly useful, especially for miners. They are always well lit wherever they go once they are rocking the mage light and if you are doing a heavy mining run it really helps. You can also go with a really dark base and its fun to watch them light their own way everywhere while saving on power/torch wood, but that's more a matter of taste.
really fun seeing the base come together, always glad for new recruits, felt bad that the newest capture was going to get their traits absorbed for Shield's mom, they seem to have decent stats to them and even strong combat numbers. But oddly enough my favorite part was seeing the earth sprites (before they disappeared) just slowly converting the grow zone of sand to rich soil.
Why destroy the infestation hives? "2:39:48" ... They succumb to disrepair after 2-3 days when there are no spiders around and they give you 40-60 more insect jelly per hive if you leave them. For eating purposes insect jelly is pretty good as it instantly fills the recreation bar and even if you are against eating it, I remember that stuff being quite valuable, no?
I really enjoy the endless possibilities of a game like Rim World through modding. I've never seen this general magic mod in action before, it's really entertaining, I'm glad I stumbled onto your channel keep up the great work. Also you can expand your freezer if you like, you've got a really thick shared wall after building that year round grow area.
"Your name is Cheese, maybe you have some latent powers of cooking." Make me think of the old ad campaign "Behold the power of cheese." A pacifist dug addict that's also sickly? A WORSE J?!?!?
I would really like a series where you don't limit yourself. I'm a big fan of cheese and it frustrates me to see you not carvaning, not taming cool monsters, and basically not min/maxing. I really liked Sea Ice because you had to min/max to survive.
I have a lot of min/max series, like Speedrun Challenge and as you mentioned, the Sea Ice challenge. Twitch series aren't ever going to be min/maxed because I allow the viewers to make decisions that direct the series, even if those decisions aren't smart or make that much sense. This is to promote community integration and I won't lose that component for purpose of min/maxing
Looks like teseng was over encumbered. He only has like 25 or 28 carry weight and his armor weighed 20. He is only 15 too so he gets a negative multiplier to move speed.
Is Rimworld meant to eventually be online multiplayer? Some of the features lead me to think they'll eventually make servers for cooperative long term play and marathon competitive games, giving the overworld map and caravans a whole new dimension and making the ability to micromanage the autopilot of multiple settlements so they don't catch fire and starve every time you look away super important.
No, it was never intended to be multiplayer, at least not from original concept. I'm not the developer, so I have no idea if they eventually plan on it, but as far as I can tell it is not in the works.
Hi, I don't know how much you react to YT, but wouldn't it be better to have those twitch events only negative? It would make sense because you also receive small rewards from twitch viewers.
Nope, you take the traits in the orb and it overwrites the ones you had IIRC Additionally RimWorld hardcaps traits at like 4, you can mod to go beyond, but I won't be running a mod like that.
erm rad.. isnt paladin considered a caster class? last time i played with RoM was like 2 months ago but back then it was counted as magical class (i remember it cus it was strange to me too).. so if you wanted that pawn to be a paladin you need "magically gifted" instead... paladins have access to heal (the common spell) and improved heal that is like a heal+ like the priest's heal.. they also have shields and a teleport iirc .. is a mixed class meaning you have spells but you also have attacks that get you in melee range but also does a lot of "holy" type of damage.. holy caster (and it does ton of damage vrs undead.. a high lvl paladin + priest and kill tons of undeads by themselves (lich events) Edit: yah..posted this before it finished..lol

I love hearing "there is no way that you can do it," over and over as an explanation as to why it can't be modded for anyone else. It's lazy, rather than informative.
The formal explanation is on the website, rhadamant.com/origins/ "IF YOU WANT TO TRY TO REPLICATE THIS SERIES >> If you want to try to replicate this series the modlist is here. I cannot help you replicate it any further than just pointing to the mods I used, as I do not have time to walk people through the setup, there are guides for that online. With that said, I also wrote a lot of code and XML for this series as well, to help support the story I want to tell, and my personally written code will NOT be made publicly available. The reason for this is because my code for this is a buggy nasty mess that was never meant to be played by other people. It is always changing and only I know how to carefully navigate my messy code to prevent the game from being unplayable. Other additions, like the Elemental creatures or Kenshi creatures mods may be made available at a later date, and if they are I will put them up on my shared file page here, asking for them won’t make them available any sooner."
