Your calm and patient tone and demeanor remind me a little bit of Bob Ross. so often when I look up 3-D modeling tutorials I am intimidated because people are speeding through it and I know I can pause the video. Even at this pace. I’ll need to pause the video and go back-and-forth on things but just the speed that they’re going promotes a sense of urgency and stress whereas your videos promote a sense of calm and I really enjoy that so thank you
I found your video featured on the nomad scupt manual overview page. Great stuff! The relationship between mirror, validate, instance, join, boolean, etc makes so much more sense after seeing you talk through it. Also the pivot adjustments, layer management, etc, it's great. Thank you for your time making this video.
Wauw! Sync Visibility! This made my day ;-) I couldn't figure out why I couldn't select only one of the two! I love this way of forming interesting shapes. Thank you. Your tutorials are so good and valuable.
Thank you for this tutorial, my friend. It has been quite helpful, and it helped me get to know the tools and menus. I will keep watching your videos. I love them, and once again, thank you🙌
This is so relaxing, your way of solving problems is such a breath of fresh air, I can understand why your tutorial was featured on Nomad's website Thank you for your work! n.n
I thought the sketch was a bear the entire time😂 didn’t know that was a mouth, thought it was a nose haha. Whatever it is, it turned out adorable! I love your videos, your voice is so calming to listen to and you’re very thorough with your instructions 😊
Thanks ron! This one was really fun...I actually started doodling in 3D, then went back and made the sketch from the 3D doodle, Then started the 3D character from scratch again using the sketch as reference. Kinda weird, but whatever works i guess :)
This is really informative and very detailed. Thanks sir dave. Can i make a request? Please consider making a video tutorial on how to make a cargo ship next time. Thanks again, sir.
Amazing Tutorial, thank you so much! I learnt loads :) One question, how did you keep your models surface so clean and without it going to low poly? I couldn't figure out how to smoothe my surface out.
Hi Dave! Thank you for the tutorial I have a question for you. When you create a square or cylinder the edges are slightly rounded, but when I do the same the edges are sharp. Is there any setting I could tweak to get the same result as you do or will I just have to later on smooth the edges? Thank you in advance! :)
Hmm, I think they should be the same; maybe check the materials tab down where it says smooth shading? I keep mine on all the time! Let me know if this is it😁😁
Hi Dave have you tried the m2 ipad? Do you notice a performance difference in Nomad sculpt for the 2? The reason I'm asking is alot of specs that look great on paper don't always translate to much of a performance increase. Anyways was just curious. Love the vids! Keep it up!
Hi Dave! first of all thank you very much for these wonderful tutorials. you are an excellent teacher! 🌟 I'm having problems with the smooth tool. I can't get it to work to merge the unit parts of the body. What could be the problem? Sorry for my English! 🙈
Welcome!! Ok hmm, when you want to merge first voxel remesh the shapes together , then you can smooth them! Be sure to voxel merge/remesh , if you just join they won’t merge and smooth will just smooth individual shapes!
@@drugfreedave Yeah! Genius! 🤩 that fixed it! It's my first time using the app and I'm following your step by step tutorial right now. Thank you very much for your answer! I am in love with your work. Best wishes for next year! 💫🙌🏼💪🏻
You may have stroke painting turned on. Use the tool, but go to the colored sphere on the left bottom panel, then uncheck the box at the top right of the panel that opens, this should turn the color off👍🏾
Hi Dave! I'm following your tutorial to learn how to use Nomad, but i got stuck at the eyes. When I click on symmetry the eye erase moves as one and not towards each other or against each other. Do you know why that is?
The first eye spheres or the pupils? The first eye spheres they should be mirrored so I can’t think of why they’d move at one. If the pupils, make sure to click on the sphere and not the red mirror. Let me know if that works!

is the app sensitive to apple pencil pressure input? love your videos, and was interested in giving this a try
Yea 100% you can adjust it globally or for specific tools as well 👍🏾💯
@@drugfreedave you think this is easier software as compared to blender?

I've never tried it! Pretty happy so far with my 2021 m1, no complaints. I probably won't get a new ipad until a BIGGER one comes out! :)

Hi Dave, I wanted to know why when I use the move tool on any element, it turns gray or stained afterwards, can you tell me?
