When I first played Doom (2016) and this song kicked in going up the first elevator and Doomguy racks the shotgun perfectly in time, I literally cheered in front of my computer. It was so perfect. This soundtrack is such an achievement. It still gives me goosebumps.
Mick Gordon really did this theme justice. I would say "he better not disappoint in DOOM Eternal"

It's been said a million times so here's a million one: What you did with this soundtrack is nothing short of brilliant. Man you took something that everybody my age knows almost by heart, original doom tracks, and updated them to not only sound contemporary, but also not piss the fanbase off. Tbh it's a wonder anyone would even attempt that, much less succeed.

Such a perfect modernisation of the old Doom theme. The original Doom came at a time when Thrash was the go to metal style of the day and it was a thrashy tune to match. Now metal has slowed down and become infinitely heavier for it with bands like Primitive Man and The Body and obviously Meshuggah taking it to a slower and stranger place and Mick has brought the Doom theme along to match the time. Love it.

I prefer the speed and firepower of the original from 93. There are some really good covers of it too, like the one done by RichaadEB and ToxicxEternity.
