      That is the best review I think I've ever watched - and I've watched a lot .
      You're spot on with it Rick . Yeah I've paid a pretty penny for tents in the past , thinking you have to - you don't . It's marketing bollocks and vanity in the main .
      Would I pay almost 500 nicker for a Hilleberg now , compared to a Banshee (they do a PRO now for around a ton) - would I hell as like . Some bits of kit are worth spending on don't get me wrong , but when you're looking at Hillebergs costing well over £500 - Behave yourselves .
      Get the Banshee , tek it to Thailand , and scope out a brunette with the change 😉🤣 .

    Several years ago I was tempted by the Banshee but it seems pretty small
    I went for the Vango Spectre 200 instead. It was a decent tent, but for some reason it is no longer available but the Banshee is still being sold.
    I haven't backpacked for over 10 years now but fancy trying it again next year.
    I think I'll get a new tent too .. the Nature Hike cloud Peak 2 looks very good.

    I was just doing some research on the Vango Solo 200 and YOU popped up in the recommended viewing. I've decided to forego the tent and just get me self a Leggy Brunette with HUGE Knockers. You'll find me camped down the Happy Valley and up at the crack of Dawn. 😜 Mate, I have 5 dogs and despite expensive Flea/Tick collars, I'm pulling off ticks everyday during the spring and summer. I just use my nails as there are too many for faffing about albeit, the Tick Twisters are good. I had two dogs go down last spring with a tick illness as I was late fitting their collars. Both had treatment for 2-3 weeks and both survived, but you need to be careful and unfortunately, they're getting more and more frequent. Once removed, squash between two rocks or burn the bastards alive.

      Aye they're a bloody nightmare aren't they and with dogs like these you've no chance of stopping em. It's what they do, run around in the scrub and heather. He's not had any over the winter but they're getting more and more year round with it not going really cold as well. That leggy brunette would be class though lol 😀😀. I've an OEX Phoxx EV I and although i'm only 5ft7, it's just a bit too snug for me. Only slightly better than a Bivvy. I was looking at these Banshee 200's though and although a wee bit heavier it's not much and it's nice and comfortable for 1 person

      Definitely, it's nice to have that little bit of space too with your pack and kit inside. Especially in inclement weather. I've been in my bivvi bag lately in the nice weather but due to give the tent a run out again soon. In fact I've got a couple of D of E assessments coming up , I'll use it then. • @darthkek1953
      @darthkek1953 4 года назад

      The best reason to use a footprint/groundsheet IMO is it's easier to clean, at least for me who has a flat and not a garden. I can give a groundsheet a good rinse in the shower but cleaning the bottom of a good-sized two man tent and then drying can be a bit of a bother. A groundsheet usually means all the tent needs is a bit of a wipe here and there.
