Thank you Jay for sharing this. I just watched this video with with my 7 year old son Sky, who has earned his yellow belt in Kung Fu here in Oakland California. Right where Bruce had his first Kung Fu (Jeet Kune Do) school. My son Sky is also half Chinese and half Irish like Bruce's son Brandon was. And he clearly understands the meaning of accepting someone else for who they are, and not just what race or color you are. Thanks to the example that both Bruce and Brandon showed us.
Sky, and myself have learned many valuable lessons that Bruce has shown and taught us by the character of his life. Not only about the discipline of the martial arts, but the intrinsic value and potential of the human spirit. Especially when treating others like you want to be treated. Just like Bruce did right here not far from our house in Oakland, when he choose to teach others Kung Fu who where not Chinese in origin. And had to defend that choice with his life against those who did not want him to do that.
We can all learn so much from both Bruce and Brandon as they are inspirations to us all! Thanks for sharing your story. Have you ever visited their gravesite? ***** Yeah. Jackie was about stunts and comedy so he was trying to make a name for himself. There is no doubt that Bruce Lee would beat Jackie Chan in a fight because he's faster and more skilled but Jackie can find a way to escape and use the environment around him as counters. LOL!

Best part of seattle when I first saw his grave was during seafair while the blue angels came roaring over the cemetery. One of the moments ill never forget. We lost such a MMA icon, if only he was alive today. Such a good role model truly the fucking man
He was gone too early. I'm sure if he was still around JKD would be huge now with more students.
I grow up watch his movie when I was a little kid
I just randomly visited the graves yesterday, 8/13/2017. It was 12pm on a Sunday, the same day as the rioting in Seattle. I saw an African American couple, a group of Chinese, two European family of tourists with children, and myself and my Korean friends. It was just amazing to be there. Almost 45 years since his death and the place is still packed. Everyone was quite and peaceful and as reverent towards the graves as if they were visiting their own family members.
IASOU2005 wow my friend, you make me cry like I have never cried before for the Sensei.!! You know, I was bullied very often, but one day I got into Bruce Lee and everything he was and my life changed. iLearn the stand for myself to be confident and self-assured. He will always be my platonic 💖.

I came to pay my respects while in Seattle years ago. The cemetery was empty save for a couple other cars and a caretaker. I approached the caretaker and asked him where I could pay my respects to the Lee family. He looked at me and looked at the people gathered nearby and asked if I was a close family friend. When I answered that I was not he very politely asked me to allow the family their time first. It was then that I realized that it was Linda and Shannon visiting Bruce and Brandon. I went back to the car and waited until they left. While I was in the car, the news was just breaking that Alice in Chains frontman Layne Staley was found dead in his home hours before. Very odd series of coincidences that day.
That was uncanny. So you visited in 2002?

I remember seeing your video like 7 years ago actually!!! I was very inspired and moved by your admiration and respect for the Lee family.
So I made a promise to myself to visit Bruce and Brandon as a part of my bucket list if I ever got to visit Seattle!!!! I ended up visiting them twice in 2018!!! Paying my respects to the Dragon and the Crow. One of the best experiences in my life and I don’t regret every single bit.

@@CharlesDamianoBLC definitely a fan. Well i can remember far back in the early 70's as a little kid, when me, and some of my cousin's were playing outside, and then i remembered all of a sudden, one of my cousin's who was inside the 🏠 opened the 🚪 and yelled out the green hornet is coming on, then all of a sudden, every body scrambled to get inside, i remembered one of my cousin's asking me, are you going to come, and watch it with us? And my response was no! I'm going to continue playing outside. At that time i was clueless to who Bruce Lee or the Green Hornet was. And i didn't learn until i was much older. If only i would have gone inside with them, i'm positive my life would've taken another course. Great as well as fond memories!
