I’m currently an OTR truck driver and I’m looking to come off of the road, and doing this job is something I’m seriously considering. I applied to Republic months ago when I was testing the waters and they rejected my application because I have a restriction on my CDL that only allows me to drive automatic trucks…yet in literally every video I’ve ever seen of an RS truck it was automatic, and the lady herself said there was only like one truck on the yard that was manual and it’s barely ever used, if ever. Was kinda confused at that 😂 I know how to drive a manual but if only ONE barely if ever used truck on the yard is manual I don’t see why that is a requirement… Gonna probably try again here soon to see if I get a different result this time, because RS has the biggest presence around my area besides GFL and I’ve heard some absolute horror stories about GFL.
@@Dreambig62 Yeah idk lol. And I have a CDL A and 3 years OTR experience so I’m like…you’d think I’d make a perfect candidate but I guess not. I’m gonna try again in a month or so

Interesting because every truck in our yard is auto and class b CDL required

So far this year lots of resi front loads and front load commercial about 5 new trucks I believe
