Be like playing Queen and only hearing Rock You, then a different song plays .The era and style might be the same but it wrecks the vibes that were being built up.
This is the best part of the album. There's no doubt for me, once Us and them transitions into any colour is when this album truly shines, this maybe the best almost ten minutes of music ever created. This album is so amazing it was able to have three of its songs be instrumental pieces and they do nothing but enhance the overall quality of the album bridging all the songs into a collective cohesive masterpiece. You could put this album on repeat the rest of your life, this album will outlive you and I. Floyd is love Floyd is life.
Brain Damage to Eclipse, maybe but not Any Color to Brain Damage lol, unless you are sarcastic in which I will agree with you because it's cheesy as hell.
I loved it when several bands were making albums, one song flowing into the next. Jethro Tull Thick As A Brick and Emerson, Lake and Palmer immediately come to mind but there were more than that, it's hard to distinguish the titles on some songs, made it hard for radio station, they often cut it off at the worst point. I think we used to call them "concept albums" and I remember Brain Salad Surgery: Emerson, Lake and Palmer Karneval #9 was really popular on the radio but it was taken out of context. Welcome back my friend to the show that never ends.... One of my feral cats loves Pink Floyd 1967-1972 but not Dark Side of The Moon. She's quite specific about the songs and live performances, she wants to hear Live At Pompeii, Meddle, Ummagumma. She has great taste but I have to listen to some songs twice because she loves it.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR THE GREAT MEMORIES DOWN AT CLEVELAND MUNICIPALSTADIUM STADIUM AND THE LOCATION OF THE CONCERT WAS INCREDIBLE 1994 JUNE. ,MR. ERIC COOK .
The way the tone Any Colour You Like drastically changes at 3:15 back to the bleak nature of the album right before Brain Damage gives me goosebumps every time.
The absolute essence of what is progressive rock. It is the Cadillac of progressive rock Incomparable . Not even King Crimson masters of the genre can touch this masterful piece of art.
This is a rare one. What I have found is normally on an album there are usually just twos song you have one after the other like Vahn Halens' Eruption/You Really Got Me. This is a three song banger. I cannot listen to Any colour without listening to the next two. Hell, I have a have time playing Dark ides' first track without playing the whole album.
oh si esta es de las partes mas exitantes de dark side of moon; ademas de the great hig in the sky. este es mi album faborito de pink floyd una exitante obra maestra!!!!!!
Although the only TRUE way to listen to the Dark Side of the Moon is to start with "Speak to Me" and play all the way until "Eclipse". That being said, this 3 some is a good compromise. LOL ... Because.... "there is no dark side of the moon... as a matter of fact, it's all dark!" There are certain songs that I call 'fers. This one is a 3'fer. But there are a host of 2'fers that, although are played alone, are NOT acceptable to true rockers as "singles". These include Zep "Heartbreaker/Livin' Lovin' Maid", Queen "We Will Rock You/We Are the Champions", Santana "Black Magic Woman/Oye Como Va", Boston "Foreplay/Long Time", Van Halen "Eruption/You Really Got Me", Journey "Feelin' That Way / Anytime", Jackson Browne "Load Out/Stay", ZZ Top "Waitin' for the Bus/Jesus Just Left Chicago", and another 3'fer Cars "Double Life/Shoo Be Doo/Candy-O".
most people come here because do like the music but like being annoying so they dislike it. And also, I get random ass recommendations that have nothing to do with the videos I usually watch but I check out the odd one. What I'm getting at is this could of been recommended to somebody and they didn't like it. I'm 99.9% it is just trolls
@@ElectroIsMyReligion While there's no denying the great Richard Wright was a major part of the Pink Floyd sound, I think he does get plenty of recognition. I have this album on vinyl and he gets plenty of credit. In any case, it was Roger Waters who actually wrote these songs while the others embellished them with superior musicianship, etc. It was not all Wright, and it was not all Waters either. Pink Floyd was a sum of its parts, which is what any truly great band is. In my opinion, Nick Mason is the one in the band who doesn't get enough credit!
@@ThaiThom I think you missed my point, I'm not talking about their total musical catalogue - I'm stating the fact that this song in particular (Any Colour You Like), was the bands way of saying "Go nuts with the synths Richard" - the others simply played along (masterfully). It has him (Wright) written all over it. It's an often overlooked and amazing track on a masterpiece of an album.
@@ElectroIsMyReligion Yes Richard Wright does sound awesome on "Any Colour You Like" but so does the whole band! Wright does do some beautiful soloing on that, but so does David Gilmour! There's plenty of guitar and keyboard interplay on that track. Mason and Waters on drums and bass sound perfect as well. Pink Floyd is all four (five?) of them. Anyway it is clear that we both love Pink Floyd and therefore probably agree more than less.
Listening to this mix now with the actual eclipse on April 8 2024 in Cabo San Lucas Mexico
I can't listen to these 3 songs any other way than in a row like this

it is very good
I totally agree with you 💯
The transition from Any Color to Brain Damage is one of the best out there, bar none.
transition from us and them to any color cool too
how tf do you say this when it sounds like shit?
Brain Damage to Eclipse, maybe but not Any Color to Brain Damage lol, unless you are sarcastic in which I will agree with you because it's cheesy as hell.
I never get tired of this!
Thank you God Pink Floyd exists !
Erm..haven't you heard?
Can listen to the whole album over and over again
I love the fact these could be just one song, I can't listen each one in a single way
Me neither, the final 3 tunes are an entire for me.
'Any Colour You Like' - Is sweet music to my brain - but the whole album is a compositional genius.
Slim-Slurm the old Peeworm.

Thanks pink Floyd the better music of the world 🌍

it's just a breathe reprise, that's the same line right before the verse in breathe
it's not exactly the same but you know what i mean.
@@LysergiaBandOfficialalso the final verse of time used the same melody
@@eesti_lv the final verse of time IS breathe its not a similar melody

Yes are the true masters of the genre. But anyway,...
I use to call it (for myself) "the holy trinity of rock music". Absolutely unrivalled, nothing comes close to it.
No hay, no existe, no existirá mejor manera de terminar un disco q está, siempre fueron y serán por la eternidad unos genios
The best álbum in the history i love pink floyd ♥️♥️♥️
Chills every time I listen to this album and I'm 29 now! I started listening at 17.

1 weed stick and this song pure heaven no doubt absolute masterpiece
Earlier Floyd like, Astronomy Domine was great. 'A Nice Pair' was my 1st Pink Floyd album and I remember hardly nobody liking it back in the day.
I don't need to take drugs to listen to Pink Floyd. Pink Floyd IS my drug.
Some folks listen to Pink Floyd to enjoy their drugs. 😎😉
You don't need drugs to enjoy Pink Floyd, but you do need Pink Floyd to enjoy drugs!
I like drugs too😂😉
Drugs are a gateway Pink Floyd.
Your uploads sound great. Thanks. Brain damage and eclipse are my favorite songs on Dark Side of the Moon. :)
good and great

i tend to listen to us and them - eclipse as though it's one singular track
Este tema me hace sentir inmortal.
If you check "MUSIC" (not lyrics) contribution of this album, you would know that 4 people(plus producers/mixers) made this happen!
Their best album
Buuuuut Animals comes close and is my personal favorite
My favorite instrumental piece outside of Beethoven and Bach

Roger Waters is a genius.
his bass playing isnt very fluid , his song writing is something else
Yeah but this song is all Richard Wright's work - he doesn't get credited enough
