04:55 Anthony, I heard in a review the flowing flame can be swapped with the head flame. So it does have a more dynamic flame. I'm all in. I've been following all of Capcom's games since I was a child. So I am looking forward to having action figures of these characters.
The reason the designs aren't more dynamic is because they're using the original Keiji Inafune turn-around art for the overall figure, who adapted the sprites from Mega Man into full character designs for Mega Man 1-6, while the alternate heads are based on the updated designs by Ryūji Higurashi used in the Megaman Complete Works character guide, and it's Ryūji's art they're using for the box-art
Our family has really been impressed by the spectacular quality of Jada Toys action figures! The Street Fighter line is great, and it looks like this Mega Man line will surely follow suit! Thank you for sharing, Anthony! You rock, man!
I'm a huge Mega Man fan and i'm in love with these figures. When I was a kid I had a bunch of Mega Man action figures (Classic series, X series, and Battle Network series) that I loved playing with, and i've been a little sad seeing lots of expensive figures that aren't very posable and are mainly made to sit on a shelf and look pretty. I like a toy that I can actually mess around with and not worry about it falling apart. One thing I loved about the old Mega Man action figures is that some of them had launchers in their arm cannons, so you could actually make them shoot each other. Loads of fun, except Quick Man's boomerang and Vile's tiny shoulder bullet got lost SUPER easily. I'm sure launchers would cost extra but I would pay for it. Second thing I loved, specifically about the Battle Network figures- You could physically pull Mega Man's helmet and limbs off to replace them and give him other powers! I wish this version of Mega Man worked like that, but his base body color doesn't stay the same between weapons, so it sadly wouldn't work. I'm not really interested in buying a whole second Mega Man just so that he can be green and have a bomb. I'm starting out with Mega Man and Cut Man, because I don't think I've ever had a good Cut Man figure. The only one I'm iffy about is Ice Man, because i've never really been a huge fan of his design.
Of course, I’m getting all these. Big Megaman fan. Hell, Big Capcom fan. I started drawing characters because of this company’s older designs like Megaman. I’m all in.
So for those who don't know, and if there is no one else pointing out this lol, the heads are based on different artworks. One is the og classic look and the other one is based from the complete works artwork that is their modern look and the one that is in the box art
Ah! I am in awe by the sheer simplicity of these classic video game characters! Being a Mega Man fan since the days of my youth, I am chuffed to see Jada Toys produce quality action figures at a reasonable price. Fancy this old Doctor one happy collector! 👍 Grazie, Anthony! I’m shocked it’s taken this long to get some descent OG MegaMan robot master. Seems like everytine a company began tackling the line it would abruptly stop
I wanted to bring something up as a point for Jada Toys, they’re a toy car company but toy cars take just as much effort as any figure. There’s still paint, there’s still molding, details, and there’s still articulation (doors, trunks, hoods, etc.). They made rock solid figures made Universal Monsters and Cereal mascots before getting the Capcom license. Question of the day, I’m picking my favorite Robot Masters and Mega Man.
Great review and this line is fantastic. And your memory is correct - Cut Man & Guts Man were the 2 robot masters featured the most in the 90’s cartoon.
Wouldn't consider myself a MegaMan fan since I only finished one game in the series. But I am fascinated by the idea of the robot masters and how MegaMan can get their abilities and change his colors. I hope to be able to collect these figures also.
To be able to have a full Mega Man 1 display with all 6 bosses that look good for 150$ is nuts. I'm hoping they eventually release the big yellow mini boss thing also and maybe that's where they can pack in some extra options for Mega Man like more faces and health or energy items.
I'm not "all-in" with this line necessarily as I don't have much interest in getting 40 colour variants of Megaman, but I definitely want to build a collection of Robot Masters and will happily pick up pretty much anyone they put out. I grew up loving these games as I'm sure anyone my age did, but I wouldn't describe myself as a huge fan... my interest in this line comes down to liking the games/characters, the great quality/price equation, but maybe more than anything the promise of being able to build a sizeable display of awesome looking characters. MOTU Origins has been my favourite line to collect in the past several years because the figures are so FUN and just having a bunch of these colourful guys on a shelf together looks great (and the price tag made it easier to justify than most lines). I look forward to building a fun shelf of Megaman figures as well!
Can you remove the flames and interchange them? It looks like you can remove the flame from his arms and put it on his head so that one stylized flame can be like a dynamic flame
Not digging the standard headsculpt but the alternate one with stern eyes looks almost 1 to 1 with the box art. Adding a swooshing fire effect for the head would have made it a 10/10 for me but its still a really nice figure regardless. I wonder if the flame effect for the hands can peg into the head too for a different look?
I'm all-in on this line for all of those reasons: because I'm a huge Mega Man fan, because the figures are awesome, and because you can't beat that price. I feel like any one of those would be reason enough to buy in completely, but with all three they've really got me over a barrel. I'm especially looking forward to Cut Man and Elec Man from Wave 2, they're some of my favorite bosses from the whole series. If they eventually get around to Skull Man and Pharaoh Man from Mega Man 4, I'll be over the moon.
In the UK I can't get any of these or street fighter for the normal price scalpers have found out jada is what everyone wants and their selling for triple the price
The price point, quality and the series are all the reasons why I want these. I can’t wait to see them pick up more series if this is the quality we’re getting for all of them. They are doing mega man, street fighter and food mascots as well as cyberpunk edgerunners so they are doing ones that fans definitely want which is good. I’m hoping they get around to stuff like god of war, overwatch, devilman crybaby, Ben 10, avatar the last airbender, just anything that doesn’t have any figures. I know they would do great with them. But for now I’m all in on everything they make. For the price and quality there’s no reason not to be.
I'm all in because I'm a big Mega Man fan, great line, and cheap to collect compared to the other ones I already do. Hope they go for the long haul and we get the Mega Man 3 Robot Masters
I'm going all in as I've been a fan of Mega Man since MM2. I hope they acquire the Castlevania license, cause there are a lot of character/monster designs that would make great 1/12 figures.
QOFTT: I was originally planing to buy just Mega Man and possibly some supporting characters like Rush, Proto Man or Dr. Light and such, and then if they ever do Wily, or Bass i'd get them too. I thought buying all the Robot Masters was a bit too much, but once i saw pictures of the first wave i had to have em all. I'm still not getting any Mega Man recolours or the non helmeted version... i think.
100% all in on the line. I love Mega Man and while he gets decent figures they never do the villains. The fact that Jun from Jada seems to be low key hinting at doing the MM line into the X line thrills me as well.
I LOVE Mega Man so i want to get the figures, maybe not ALL of them but definately the Rockman himself and Fireman looks sick. Edit: I'd like to point out, this guys' legs have better range than any Spider-Man by hasbro.
The figures themselves look like they're based on artwork from the original instruction booklets. The artwork on fire man's box is from all the updated, more modern looking profiles made for the mega man & bass game. Thats why theres a discrepancy there. Im kind of glad they went with the old school designs. They just have a certain charm to them.
I was just about to comment on this. There's a lot of high end X stuff out there, and as an old-school retro gamer I'd really like them to get to at least Mega Man 3. Need a Metal Man, Snake Man, and Proto Man at least. Love to work up to guys like Bass and Pharoah Man. Would LOVE a "deluxe" Yellow Devil for the first game. Just got this guy and while he's not this flashy, super stylish figure, he's no doubt Fire Man, and comes with just enough to satisfy and looks clean and solid.
Yeah I was actually thinking that, cause the alternate head doesn't have a flame so I was thinking can the hand flame be replaced? If that's the case then I will it's really clever on jadas part and also well thought out.
After seeing what the next two waves entail I'm pretty hyped. Hyper bomb mega man is what I expected and that wood and bubble man looks GREAT. (they showed the first three waves at comicon)
I skipped on Ice Man from wave 1, but I think Mega Man and Fire Man are both great figures. Really want to see how Jada takes on some of the unique Robot Master designs like Air Man.
I'm all in, this line looks great. Hopefully my bbts order comes in sooner rather than later! Also Cut Man is my personal favorite, so excited he's already going to be part of wave 2!
I'm all in with whatever Jada makes, partly because it's properties I care about, partly because of price, mostly because they're doing a fantastic job. These pieces legitimately feel like imports. I'd ideally like to get all the Robot Masters from the first three games first, which Jada seems to be in-line with doing, I know on the Street Fighter stuff they want to finish Ultra SF II's roster before diving into other SF titles.
I am not all in as I don't like Megaman enough for that, but I do have a weird soft spot for Cut Man. So I might pick him up, and then maybe Megaman to pose him with. I hope Jadatoys will end up picking some franchises I would go all in on. I mean I love fighting games so Street Fighter is tempting and I want Cammy atleast, however, I really wish they had the Mortal Kombat license. I would buy them all.
All in and all of the above. You kinda touched on it at the beginning but I think the disconnect is they're using modern renders and designs for the character art work, but the toy designs are much more retro and classic in their look. Yeah Cutman and Gutsman where main villains in the cartoon. Also, Protoman who I hope they make soon. But I'm looking forward to Cutman. Fireman isn't my most favorite looking one. I do like Iceman> Because he looks like all he says is OWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!! I'm in cause I loved the game growing up. I love most Capcom games. I was Rush the dog!! And Roll. The only other good guys to offer in figures. Otherwise you have Megaman vs a bunch of robots.
Mine showed up today, paint issues on all 3 (eyes, forehead and chest, highly visible areas), so I'm done ordering this line. You can fudge the dynamic flames into his head, but agree it would have been nice to get other ones specifically for that. Also would have been cool if the boxes had the robot master pixel art on one of the sides instead of mega man on both.
@TheMattTrakker, the boxes have customer service details on it. I highly Highly recommend getting in contact with them. I had some paint mishaps with my Ice Man, and when I contacted Jada about it, I got a full new Ice Man delivered in the mail, with full quality
Hey, I just came across your website and wanted to purchase two of the missiles for my Metroid figmas. It shows them in stock, but to contact you. I’m not sure exactly how to reach out in regards to that, but would like to purchase them if possible. Hope to be able to hear from you!
I adore the Mega Man games. More so the originals. That said, I were to collect these figures would be for Mega Man 2 as it is my favorite of all the games.
I'm all in x2. Buying each figure open and sealed which based on Jada's slow release schedule should be a piece of cake. I've been a Mega Man fan all my life thanks to the NT Warrior cartoon airing in my childhood and always wanted a great figure line.
Anthony can u please make a review on the mafex the batman robert pattinson version ive been wanting to buy it but its expensive and i would really appreciate if u reviewed it
I still didn’t buy any Jada Toys figures. I’m on the fence to get Mega Man. More interested in Jada’s upcoming SF figures as I generally don’t have any interest in their Ryu, Chun-Li, and Fei-Long figs, no matter how good they are as action figures. However, I would buy Jada’s entire wave of Streets of Rage figures!
I’m all in for jada because of how good the figure have been. Not as fussed about Megaman but I’ll be damned if I don’t support Jadas work, seeing the price of ML in the shops feels like a slap in the face. Why would I ever pay for that when jada does better made cheaper figures with accessories
I want to support the brand, unfortunately they haven't got to any IP I care, despite how cool the figures are I don't care that much about these characters, nor the designs (I sometimes do buy figures based on stetics alone but these don't really apeal to me PERSONALLY)
These seem like fine figures, but I won't be getting them. I'm sure I'll regret it once the line is fleshed out. The question, will Megaman come with various power effects once they start doing the color variants?
04:55 Anthony, I heard in a review the flowing flame can be swapped with the head flame.

I personally can’t wait for them to do Mega Man 3 figures because that’s my favorite one. I’m loving these.
Magnet man and Gemini man figures would be really cool
Our family has really been impressed by the spectacular quality of Jada Toys action figures! The Street Fighter line is great, and it looks like this Mega Man line will surely follow suit! Thank you for sharing, Anthony! You rock, man!
Hopefully they do Megaman X figures one day.
NES Mega Man needs a lot more love first.
@@MojoTheClownI agree there’s a lot of companies do x already we need some robot masters!
how about Battle Network...Best characters design for me
They could finish the Mega Man 1 robot masters, then do X1 mavericks, then Mega Man 2 robot masters, etc, in order like that.
We have the kotobukiya model kits at least

I’m not into mega man and will not be buying this line. but have seen them in hand and they are great figures!
Im all in minus Megaman recolors
Jada cares more about their figures than companies who have been doing this for years.
I'm in because jadatoys is killing it
And want them to get to roll and the price is affordable
I like these figures i just hope they dont take years to complete each game like storm collectibles with there MK and SF lines
Back of my box just show him
Torch man is his name
Hasbro would've charged $50 and include a figure nobody wanted.
Could you please review game dimensions king?
Come on Guts man!
Jada is one company that I am all in for…my wallet hates me.
👍
Jada killing it.
I am also just tickled and all in
Incredible how easy it is to make good action figures that aren’t expensive. Hasbro.
