Good to see your approach on this! I feel like it was a pretty good implementation, just needs some tuning up (of course if you ever get back to it lol). I see a few similarities in what I did in my original prototype. I started to remake mine today, with a different organization and presentation in mind... I'm with you on the other engines being so bloated and hard to just dive into making games. Godot is just so easy to get at least the idea out. I'm really looking forward to see what you do with the next video and your rogue-like!
Thanks for the feedback! After thinking about it I want to change how the bikes turn. Having the hitbox away from the center of rotation really limits how close you can get to walls without crashing. If you get your game to a stage where you'd like to show it off I'd be happy to check it out.
