it will just be another case of "the message" being jammed down our throats." "the message" rill be front and center in EVERY episode from here on causing rtd 2 to be an even worse era than chibnall .
i cant wait for this one, it sounds like its gonna be a dark, mysterious, bizarre piece of who. i hope its a puzzlebox spaceship with whacky, strange things round every corner, and i hope that it has at least some fun 60th cameos (susan maybe? she was at the recent screening of the star beast so who knows!) but even if it doesnt im just hyped up to delve into the wild blue yonder!
this episode keeps making me think of the forever trap, part of the tenth doctor tales audiobooks range (not big finish, this was bc in-house). Donna and 10 are stuck in a luxury apartment complex where the corridors are senseless, with up being down. right being left etc. Great story, I hope they play into that whimsical horror
The TARDIS has fled to hide within itself, with the result that it can be entered from within itself and each new TARDIS is one from the past -- like nested Russian Dolls.
I still think his costume and sonic is a mix of doctors. I think he may shift into some of the other doctors but only briefly and on the last episode he will finish his regeneration into the 15th.
I looked up the phrase, “Wild Blue Yonder”, and found that it was a line from the US Air Force theme song (“Off we go into the wild blue yonder”). I read through the lyrics of the song and came across these two passages from the second and third verses, respectively: Brilliant minds fashioned a crate of thunder, Sent it high into the blue; Valiant hands blasted the world asunder; How they lived God only knew! (and…) To a friend we send a message of the brave who serve on high. We drink to those who gave their all of old I then remembered the fact that the 23 second trailer for “Wild Blue Yonder” included an image of the Thirteenth Doctor’s TARDIS having landed on a ruined Gallifrey after the Master destroyed it. The Time Lords created the TARDIS (“Brilliant minds fashioned a crate of thunder”), but then they were destroyed (“Valiant hands blasted the world asunder”) by The Master (not a valiant person, to be sure, but the metaphor still holds, I think) because the Time Lords had (allegedly) kept the secret of The Timeless Child (“How they lived God only knew!”). Now, the kicker: “To a friend we send a message of the brave who serve on high / We drink to those who gave their all of old.” Could that be the Time Lords once again asking The Doctor to save them? Could that large, claustrophobic set be a vast computer bank where the Time Lords have “saved” a copy of themselves? Could the two phases “To A friend” and “We drink to THOSE” refer to The Doctor in both the singular and the plural, indicating that there will be other Doctors in the episode?
I'm really excited for Special 2 i think the teaser was eerie where you don't know what could possibly be so terrifying that it causes the tardis to run away i'm excited and a little bit creeped out but this is what Doctor who is supposed to be eerie and mysterious.
RTD says "once you unravel Fenslaw, Collis, Brate" - the clue here is UNRAVEL. We know how much RTD loves an anagram (TORCHWOOD etc) and anyone who does cryptic crosswords will recognise UNRAVEL as a clue word to a hidden anagram. So my guess is that rearranging the letters in FENSLAW, COLLIS, BRATE will give some kind of clue to the episode.
I want to be scared out of my seat like an actual out of body experience. if this isn't going to be like the good old days when scaring people was fun then idk why i bother expecting anything great anymore.
*Puts clown makeup on* I think Peter Capaldi is secretly bluffing about not coming back and will be one of the redacted names in Wild Blue Yonder. Yes he said he doesn’t like multi doctor stories but if this is a non traditional multi doctor story maybe RTD has perused him. Also around the time of filming Peter had mysteriously dyed his hair a darker shade of grey similar to what he had when he played 12. Also in two interviews from last year he mentioned his frustration at having to keep secrets with Doctor Who which would definitely make sense if he has been having to bluff in all his interviews about the 60th. Another point is it would make sense for 12 to return since Donna is responsible for giving him that face and the parallel between the memory wipes with 12 and Clara and 10 and Donna.
Simply going by the number of letters in the names Fenslaw, Collis, Brate - there are only so many actors whose last names have the same number of letters, who are alive and have played the Doctor before. Fenslaw is 7 letters, which matches Davison and Capaldi. Collis is six letters, which only matches McGann. Brate is 5 letters, which matches Baker, McCoy, Smith and Gatwa. But it could also be something for which we'd need a decoder key or a primer to decode, and maybe all 18 letters are scrambled. But it could also just be gibberish, and RTD is having fun seeing us try to figure it out.
Perhaps the reason the Tardis ran away was because they have materialized inside another Tardis. The doctor goes on and on about how dangerous that is, so maybe the HADS is programmed to take off in that case. This would explain the episode being mainly closed off, and all of the corridors looking similar. Perhaps it's an older model of a time capsule. Type 1 even! Just a thought.
POSSIBLE SPOILER/MY THEORY: Russel T Davies gave a cryptic message which led to the numbers 8, 7 and 1. My prediction is that this episode will feature Paul McGann, Sylvester McCoy (but older, like in Tales of the Tardis) and David Bradley as the 1st Doctor. There's also a chance Ncuti might show up, as he recently said he had a scene with William Hartnell (but didn't say David Bradley, which is interesting). Although Dr Who Magazine gave 3 redacted names and not 4, Ncuti might not be in this one.
Since we now know his scene with "Hartnell" (as played by David Bradley) was for An Adventure in Space and Time, it's entirely possible he's not in the 2nd special at all, but only the third. But who knows...
Has anybody question if Donna is still in metacritic mode? What if she is what makes the Doctor regenerate? He death involves saving him. And she will knock four times.
The cast interests me, why are they hiding some of the main cast's names?? Are we getting one of the previous Doctors back, Martha, Rose, Mickey, Clyde, Rani, or Luke??? I'm so curious! 😄
@@StetsonDoctorI hope it's Martha i mean it makes more sense that she reappears somewhere down the line. The hype and suspicion amongst fans for this special I just feel it'll be an episode that won't reach the level fans are going it up as...it happens a lot in media , episodes like Blink, Heaven Sent, Vincent and the Doctor are one in a billion and changed pop culture and wasn't hyped before release....Spyfall was effective with twists too without being hyped as such , I'm sure there'll be moments of OOOH and AAAH but fans get ridiculous it's RTD it'll be decent but nothing more or oess
This could be completely out there but.. If you look up the numerology meaning of the words “Fenslaw Collis Brate”, it is 8 + 7 + 1, which adds up to 16. There have been 16 actors to officially play The Doctor… Are we going to see them all?
No links, sorry - YT is allergic. G**gle is your friend, here. I got this from house of names. Fenshaw and Collis are both very old surnames that have similar meanings: - Shaw means a small wood and Fenshaw means a church in a grove. - Saint Collen (Collis seems to be related to Colin, a diminutive of Nicholas) gave his name to Llangollen, meaning church of the hazel-wood. Brate is also a very old name, but doesn't seem to have an obvious (to me) connection. OK: not super-helpful, but it might give a better researcher somewhere to start. PS. That's a good point! Or maybe some sort of sequence/code? Given that the words are, in themselves, complete gibberish (at least, as far as we can tell!), that would certainly make more sense...
Probably a coincidence, but Fenshaw, Collis and Brate have 7, 6 and 5 letters each, respectively. Perhaps there are 4-, 3- (etc) -long words? Long shot. I messed around with anagrams, too, but didn't get far.

Yes, I was thinking along similar lines. (In the pic of Tennant "levitating" he's actually just clinging on to handles on the wall, they're just very obscured! Also, it's from Star Beast, no WBY.)
Welp, the secrecy was unnecessary, and if anything shouldn't have been used on an episode like an anniversary special. 9:01 - Maybe the robot is voiced by one of the Classic Doctors, or one of the post companions or, as a joke, by Georgia Tennant.
That's a good shout! Given Georgia's connection to Tennant, I'd be very surprised if she didn't also appear somehow.
