Everybody knows about Tupacs Beef with Biggie, Jay-Z, Nas, Bad Boy etc. But theres very little coverage on what went down between Pac and Mobb Deep. That's why I thought this was a really cool video to do. This was the era that made me fall in love with hip hop as a child. You guys have seen me cover a lot of content from the "Drake, Kendrick and Cole" era. But I haven't covered anything from this golden era yet so I really put this one together for the OG's on RUclips. I think the OG's will really appreciate and respect seeing a piece on Tupac like this because I feel like Production wise; theres not much on RUclips like this video. - Развлечения

Also, Mobb Deep released a song entitled "Cradle To The Grave", which 2Pac's group Thug Life released about 6 months earlier. Also, Mobb Deep's "Infamous" (Prelude) the words "For All you fake Thug Mutha**ckas" is yelled out near the end. Also, Mobb Deep was affiliated with Nas, another 2Pac enemy. They can be seen wearing backwards bandanas ('Pac's signature look) in the video while screaming "Thug Life, we still living it!" (...Also, Dogg Pound's "New York" instrumental is a flip on EPMD'S "You're A Customer")
Bro you forgot to mention mob deep could of been in the studio when pac got shout and robbed and was wearing his jewelry in that survival of the fittest video when they was talking about we all thugs bullshit with the efrotet chain pac used to wear
Bro and you say your 35 I'm 37 I was 9 in 96 when he died so that made you like 7 bro stop it
@@user-yf5fd6dl2v yeah and I have older siblings who loved tupac, posters covered their walls. Even my youngest brother was jamming to dipset when he was like 6 lol he was listening to what I was listening to. He’s 26 now and basically a hip hop historian because he’s been actively listening to my music since he was in kindergarten lol
"Think fast or get reminded of robberies in Manhattan, you know what happened, $60 G's worth of gun clappin, who shot ya, you prolly screamed louder than an opera, New York gotcha" That line was hard af.
So hard!!!!!! 💣
When he said that screamed louder than an opera tho! 😂 P was on another level on that Hell on Earth album
Whole verse was superb. Havoc killed his verse as well. Best Tupac diss song ever! It's also a top 5 all time diss song, maybe top 3.
Honestly because of Tupac im a Mobb Deep fan. I had never heard of Mobb Deep but I constantly would hear Tupac mention them in his songs, so one day I decided to check out one of their albums and I was blown away, I was like these boys nice. I still loved Pac music but I also became a Mobb Deep fan.
Me too, Pac & Prodigy are in my top 3 🔥🔥
I personally wasn’t really a Mobb Deep fan. Not just because I’m a huge 2Pac fan because I love biggie, Jay Z, Nas and several other people that he dissed. But what I will say about Mobb Deep is that, although I only liked a handful of songs. I think havoc is one of the most underrated producers ever.
"you yell my name its only giving me props plus the fans that you got." Havoc. Dudes were lining up to buy mobb deep albums after the infamous. Nobody anticipated a tupac album until he started dissing dudes
Fax, when he mentioned Mobb Deep, I eventually saw recommended on Apple Music Mobb Deeps shook ones 2, and I be listening to em now
Same here.
Unfortunate yet Prophetic verses...Pac with the sickle cell diss and Prodigy with his ⏰️s tick your days are numbered in low digits.
The tongue brings life or death.
I was just about to type that...They both predicted each other's demise
2Pac and Prodigy both Predicted both demise Rest in Peace to both great MC's in Hip-Hop
Well yeah he was hanging out with the wrong crowd when he didn't have to he put himself in harm's way
@@LyubovBoychuk loser 2Pac was a grown man that made his own decision in his life stop acting like 2Pac was some lil kid because he wasn't pac was his own man
@@LyubovBoychuk not true. That's a basic take.
Millions of rappers mention death including their own.. it's not a prediction.. it's just a reflection of feelings at the time of creating the music... people gotta stop reaching all the time and overthinking sht
that's facts. Finally someone said it.@@kylelee7741
Prodigy verse on Drop a Gem was just flawless. About as perfect as a verse can get.
Been saying for years Drop a Gem on Em is super underrated
Not even underrated it was incredible & every real fan knows about it. P lyrically annihilated pac
@thecardbunker801 I agree. If it wasn't dropped so close to Tupac's death it woulda got more attention and woulda aged better as a diss track.
Prodigy rips it on Drop a Gem on Em. I'm jus not to keen on the beat.
@@AndrewRobertson-kl4vi U don't like the beat? I think most people like it
@@AndrewRobertson-kl4vi beats crazy man..that aretha franklin vocal sample is haunting
I acknowledge your efforts, but claiming nobody on the West Coast matches Prodigy's lyrical ability is a bit extreme. Bro, look at Kurupt alone - there are plenty of West Coast rappers with similar skills. This East Coast bias is problematic; it's statements like these that spark beef, making it seem like the West Coast lacks lyrical prowess. Hip-hop is a competition, and misjudgments like this fuel unnecessary conflicts. If someone denies that this isn’t competition, they're out of their mind. We have yearly debates about who's the best in the world clearly highlight the competitive nature of the scene.
You are correct, bro.
Del the Funky Homosapien, Ras Kass, Rappin Ron & Ant Didley Dog (from Oakland), Xzibit can definitely be on a throne of West Coast best lyrical MCs. Early Cube too on his AMW & DC albums.
: Kurupt is from the East Coast[Philly] respectful...👑
Well said. I agree. I am biased to the west wasn't a fan of East until I was older and more mature but to say nobody could match is ridiculous .
Nobody could deal with Kurupt......even Tupac had to try and press Kurupt too
Prodigy, rip, was nice as hell. His skills were underated.....
Underrated no. Under appreciated yes!
Prodigy was going through real pain with his Sickle Cell disease. It's like this dude never smiled.
Weak and Wack to me!
@@antwandukesyou weak and wack af if you can't recognize real
I was there for all of it. You did a great job covering this. Just had to be there to understand Prodigy and his magnitude standing next to Nas ,Mega ,Half-a-Mil, A.Z, with Havocs NY/Gotham city soundtrack. Pac had us listening up to Makaveli 6 after he passed. Had to be there to feel me. Good coverage.
my dude Prodigy...HNIC, King Vulture P, Colombo P, Captain Crunch dog P, 16 Bar P, dom Perignom P....list goes on...a lot of love for Pac as well very very great video

Crazy pac been gone almost 3 decades, he was a true poet.

Tupac stated in an interview that his beef with mobb deep was over one of his friends at a mobb deep show and was hearing Mobb Deep screaming out “Thug Life” on stage. That’s what it was over
Ya its in prodigy audio biography
Bro kurupt is rapping as if he’s in a New York Cypher, which is the ultimate respect being that hip hop derives from cyphers.
Let's remember that Kurupt is actually east coast anyway
I'm from the West Northern Cali to be exact and I can say NY is the Mecca of Rap and Cali is the Mecca of Gangsta Rap period
Bro you a White dude from Canada who LOVES Hip Hop Culture. As long as you love it, respect it, and instead of take you give to it; SALUTE!!!! Don't ever let anyone question your love for Hip Hop. And keep doing your thing.
I loved this video, awesome editing and really enjoyed the presentation. Lots of hard work was put into it, and it shows. Great upload.
Suge should’ve threw Pufft under the bus more by saying “bad boys don’t pay their artists, they get scraps and biggie and Craig Mack are broke”. That would’ve made bad boy artists beef with puffy
28:08 I've been looking for this song for 27 years but didn't know the name....I mean LITERALLY!!! THANK YOU!!! Dope, deep, and detailed presentation sir!
Thank you my brother!!! Much appreciated!!!!
It was Havocs cousin Ferg Brim who is a real life brooklyn blood and got locked up for 15 years shirtly after he was yelling "thug life we still living it" on the chorus of survival of the fittest.
I was wondering who said that! Because it clearly wasn't Prodigy or Havoc!
That was a solid video man, as a fan of both artists I enjoyed it.
I am coming across your videos for the first time and I must confess that you take a clear lane from the rest RUclipsrs which is very refreshing. Big up bro . Stay blessed

You forgot one detail!
Mobb Deep we're from Queens, Nas was from Queens,
LL Cool J was from Queens, & Tupac's close Road-dogg Randy "stretch" Walker,
was from Queen's.
Tupac & Thug Life had a home base in not only
Southern California, but Queens New York.
So, more than likely, Mobb Deep was speaking on behalf of Stretch,
who felt Tupac was betraying the code of Thug Life.
Which Mobb Deep low-key admit to, because they mentioned the vibe article.
Then Prodigy says "you did it too your own self", which is a reference to
Tupac fighting back during the robbery.
Stretch out his own mouth said that "Tupac did it to himself".
Like he was to blame for being shot in the robbery,
whether self-inflicted or by the hands of the robbers.
Then all these Queens rappers start beefing with Tupac, not a coincidence.
Y'all got to read between the lines.
Stop believing every video these Suburban nerd-vultures post.

Majesty gave Prodigy Pac's notebook because they had the same vision.I think had Pac lived they would've worked everything out and really done some amazing work in communities.
I doubt that, they were no bodies to Tupac! Maybe Nas but that's it.
Drop A Gem On Em is one of those great overlooked disses, people don't know... they got Pac back, the only ones who had the nuts to fire back
Who shot ya by Biggie?
💯
P killed pac imo lyrically
Much respect on this video sir!
Great video. Good to see something a bit different. Good work.
I’m a die hard Pac fan and Drop A Gem On Em by Mobb Deep was vicious. Would’ve loved to hear a response from Pac to that record. While Hit Em Up is a classic diss track that goes with name dropping Mobb’s diss was subliminal and metaphorical but if you knew about the situation you knew who they were going at. Man what an era. Miss Prodigy & Pac. RIP to both legends.
What u must never heard against all odds
@@skarrsixx3984 Against all odds was already recorded and wasn’t aimed at Mobb directly just a few jabs.
@jvonte07 exactly but the issue here was that Pac died shortly after Drop a Gem on Em dropped.
how did you miss Mobb Deep “It’s Mine” when they say Thug Life is mine & also Nas rapping about his death on his verse ending
Facts 💯 The Infamous Mobb Deep and NaS were all 3 mocking and Subliminal Sneak Dissing 2Pac
GD, i love this channel.. thank you!
To this day I never heard a full pac album....but mobb deep is on heavy rotation for 25 years now❤
Tupac is from New York so he already knows about the subliminal games, so he picked up on every thing plus he was in New York so he knew exactly what they was doing, but publicly they will act like didn't know what Tupac was talking about that he was just coming at them for no reason
Yeah exactly, pac was tapped in big time 💯
That’s a dope ass pic of you throwing the W sign up!
good video, beautiful editing.
Editing on point! Well done 👏👏

As a 40 some year old man..looking back at this whole thing is very childish and had Pac have lived..i think all of them..(maybe not Big cuz he hit his wife) would of worked it out as men..black men! 💪🏿
awesome work
In the song, "I shot ya," Prodigy is actually going at Keith Murray, who is on the same song!
New York wanted Pac and The Dogg Pound dead and it took B.I.G death for them to chill tf out....some weird shit
Very accurate luv this channel
New sub. Love this breakdown.
That Biggy thing is 100% the Mandela Effect. I vividly remember that time and listened to Hot 97 RELIGOUSLY. The call doesn't exist, never existed. Hot 97 would have been pulled it out of the vaults in this era of clout. And we KNOW they have all the recordings.
That's what I'm saying. Back then I was a teen and hip hop was my life and I never heard it.
*Foh, thank God I'm old enough to remember. Some of you sheeple swear think you slick, always trying to rewrite history when reality doesn't suit your narrative.*
The Beef with Mobb Deep would’ve definitely got squashed.
When Pac ran into Nas at Bryant Park in New York. Not only did Him & Nas squash they beef , Nas also asked Pac to not diss Mobb Deep any more. Mobb Deep would’ve squashed they beef with Pac outta respect for Nas.
Plus with Death Row East being a real thing & Eric B running it. That whole beef would’ve came to an end.
I don't know about that because Mobb Deep was alliance themselves with Bad Boy and plus Havoc Mobb Deep produce a track on Notorious BIG 2nd album and the song named Last Days and it had Notorious BIG ft The Lox going at 2Pac
Plus NaS was alliance himself with Bad Boy Puffy and Dr Dre and NaS had a unreleased Diss Track going at 2Pac that NaS released in the year 2021 called Real N'z Dissing 2Pac
@@madman9040 idk how strong that alliance was tho, cause you gotta also remember around that same time Nas & Biggie we’re going back & forth dissing each other subliminally.
Biggie was Dissing Nas on Kick In the door “ Your reign on the top was short like leprechauns
As I crush so-called willies, thugs and rapper dons” / “ Ain't no other kings in this rap thing, they siblings , Nothin' but my children, one shot, they disappearin “. They went back and forth on a few songs.
And again if Pac would’ve lived that diss would’ve never came out. He told Nas he was gonna take his disses out of his songs on makaveli & they were gonna go some music for the one nation project. He would’ve been more aligned with Pac had that happened.
@@SuperbNProsper nah I don't believe because remember puffy had power on the east coast even in New York and RZA produced long kiss goodnight and on the original version of long kiss goodnight it had one of the Wu members on the track but his voice gotten tooking off and replaced by Puffy and NaS is really close with the Wu members and alot of East Coast was choosing sides
@@SuperbNProsper NaS was throwing Subliminals at 2Pac NaS took the All Eyez On Me beat and made Street Dreams Subliminally going at 2Pac and NaS was throwing alot of Subliminals at 2Pac that is why 2Pac called NaS a punk and a Bitter

This was a great video
Thanks man!!! I appreciate the comments and feedback!!
NY87 was definitely recorded after Dogg Pound got shot at in New York. That also lead to Pac recording Hit Em Up.
One thing people tend to overlook with Pac, was when he was in Prison , a lot of people were taking shots at him & dissing him, & he didn’t have the ability to defend himself.
Plus niggas in Prison (mind you he’s locked up in New York) all telling him different shit from the streets about who shot him & dissing him, so he getting mixed messages & etc.
That’s why when he got off, He had to get at everyone he felt was talking crazy.
Being in that position for months and not being able to defend ya name after all types of lies are told, you gonna come out on a warpath, which he did & outsold all of them.
All facts what you said 💯
