@@AntiSocialPlanet Go watch their live band version of this song on It's live and you can clearly see who was singing which part and they are beyond amazing!
u should definitely check out some live performances because the 100% live vocals in the chorus are no joke... handong & sua cover siyeon's parts but there is a new video on "1TheK Originals" that has siyeon in it and they have a ITS LIVE performance coming out soon too
That 1theK performance with spatial audio makes the song feel even more epic, IMO the stomping and their VERY LIVE vocals and everything just feel great to listen to
The way Yoohyeon is helping Handong get up is a call back to OOTD, when they fought in front of the camera. Handong helped Yoohyeon back up when the camera cut.
For me the blindfolded dancers is darkness. And darkness never left its still deep inside. Thats why dami sang guiding me up. Basicly away from the darkness inside.
The chorus makes me cry too. Even thinking about it. I was sooo overwhelmed the first time I listened to JUSTICE. I'm kinda glad I was out running at that moment so that I could get some of that energy out through my body, cause holy freaking damn I feel that shattering the crown could also be saying you shouldn't try to be perfect or better than everyone else (but maybe instead be the best version of yourself and try to raise others up with you rather than beating them down) Handong's pearl, which she's been so focused on, shatters in the same way, and she looses her wings before being helped up by Yoohyeon. Maybe the pearl and wings are a symbol of perfection as well? Maybe it's just me wanting the imagery to mean that though :p I'd love to see a OOTD/JUSTICE comparison from you, that would be a lot of fun. Whatever you decide to do next for Dreamcatcher, I'll be here to watch it anyway ^^
So, among the artwork in the museum, the only specifically Biblical imagery was the Sacrifice of Noah. The other European artwork depicted stories of both Norse (Valkyries taking fallen heroes to Valhalla) and Greek (the tragic love story of Hero and Leander, where Leander drowns in a storm to reach Hero and learning this, Hero throws herself into the water to drown as well, with their bodies washing to shore together) mythologies as well as general European symbolism with anthropomorphic depictions of Peace and Justice (also inspired by psalms but not directly a Biblical story, just ideas). Based on the OOTD and JUSTICE era ARG, the way I read the story is that an 8th person (9mynameis1 specifically, also 91 who Siyeon was messaging) who was friends with our 7 members saw the corruption they were under and, in an effort to save them, sacrificed themselves. This sacrifice woke our 7 up from their greed and selfishness, motivating them to undo their wrongs and fight for what's just. I think the ending scene with the 8th person symbolizes that destroying the corrupting crown did end up saving its victims/their souls. Story of Noah's sacrifice after the flood where God, acknowledging Noah's dedication through the sacrifice, promises He will not punish the living creatures of the Earth again also helps hint at peace being restored after the crown's destruction. (Honestly if there was also a painting for the Binding of Isaac in there, I would write another thousand word essay about how that supports the victims including 9mynameis1 are saved at the end.) The forbidden fruit imagery works here to really illustrate it: Becoming tempted and taking a bite from it corrupts (OOTD). Resisting the temptation and destroying it is the first step towards salvation even after having succumed to it before (Dami's sword through the already bitten apple in JUSTICE). This is just a beautiful song of redemption, perseverence, justice and hope. The artworks' key words being justice, hero and sacrifice just gets my blood running.
There's no need to be embarrassed because you cried while listening to "Justice." I felt the same way - it's an overwhelming vocal song. And the voices of the 7 are now so extraterrestrially good that I can't really handle them. Thank you for your detailed and interesting consideration of this masterpiece.
not sure if youre gonna see this later in the reaction but those shots with the blindfolded people is dreamcatcher im pretty sure, you can recognise them if you pause at the right time! Also, i think its because "justice is blind"?
I'd recommend the It's Live version of the song. They have a live band backing them in that version (which is, in my opinion, how most of their songs deserve to be performed), and since they're not doing the choreography they have some opportunity to have some fun instead (to the extent that Siyeon has a bit of a trouble keeping from bursting out laughing at end of her final).
your analysis spot on for me, the emotions invoked from the first time hearing that chorus are crazy, especially when you know deukae's background and how hard they've worked to get where they are
So the whole VS lore revolves around an obsession with 'the crown', which seems to be a metaphor for perfection. The obsession with the crown makes people arrogant and self-centered. Villain!Dreamcatcher lured victims with the crown. Hero!Dreamcatcher destroyed the crown 😊
As always: amazing reaction. I'm really not that smart to pickup on things and you make it a lot easier for me 😂😂 This song gets better at each listen. I'm officially obsessed! This album is fenomenal and I'm on repeat since the release. My coworkers keep telling me to shut up because I keep talking about them non stop. I've cried more times than I can count. But it's because watching their history you can see how much they developed, how much dedication and work they put in and how it paid off. They're better at every album and it amazes me! I know it's not how you do this, but you should really make an exception and watch their showcase. As mentioned in another comment, SuA and Handong covered Siyeon parts. And it's so beautiful. Handong caught everyone out of guard and I am sure this was a turning point for her, she really showed what she's capable of. And Dreamcatcher proved to EVERYONE that they don't have sub vocalists, just main vocalists! Today it hit me that I am going to their concert on September and I freaked out and started crying on my way to work. On the subway. With everyone watching me like I'm insane. Now I can't wait to see your reaction to their album. I am 100% sure that you're going to freak out just as much I did!
I've been an emotional wreck already since hearing about Siyeon last week, so this song and MV hit pretty hard and I can definitely appreciate the emotions that you felt creep up from this song. It really feels quite powerful! Wait until you see the showcase stages too (unless you already have) and how the other girls filled in for Siyeon, even though I do miss her dearly 😭
As a Siyeon bias I'm super worried too, but I hope the hiatus will be very healing for her. I don't want her to come back until she's ready, but I think she'll be back. After all, the girls seem to love and take good care of each other, so I think it would be hard to stay away for too long

I wish Siyeon was taking part in the promotions for this comeback, but she is sitting out due to health issues and anxiety so we are all wishing her a swift recovery. The Justice / 2 Rings showcase was killer, at least it killed me. Now let's fight to get them a win, to reward their hard-work, for both the members and the staff. 👑🙌
Yeah... I usually like it better that they watch the MV without pausing and with no subtitles first, and then on a second watch, they can do whatever they want. If she wants to see the colour-coded lyrics afterwards, then she should just watch the MV without lyrics first and then watch the lyrics video. Just my preference, though, but it's her channel, and she can do whatever she wants.
I 100% agree, watching the video with the lyrics of the song before takes away the impact of the MV. She can also watch the mv 2 times and activate the subtitles the second time.
people have been saying that the extra person at the end is Deja Vu era JiU though i havent really looked into it too much. Something about destroying the crown set her free
Nah it's just fan wishful thinking. Since OOTD first announcement of a crown, they've been obsessed with trying to tie it back to Deja Vu 😅 If Justice is tied to something, it's OOTD.
If one wants to be critical of the song, there are many things to nitpick; but once that chorus hits, it destroys everything in its path, especially nits.
It might be better for YOU if reactors see the MV first and then the lyrics. In the case of this particular reactor, her brain works in a different way. She does things her own way that works for her, so that she gets to enjoy what she is doing with her own channel.
their titled track "Justice" was base on the old and new testament of the bible, and not in the entertainment industries. they're now taking it of what the "Genesis and Revelation" say's. it's the continuation of the "Apocalypse" maybe
