I am so glad I have seen Buddy Guy a few times. And Mayer is on the way up!
Saw Buddy at the Greek several years ago. He walked down the aisle and I was sitting on the end. He had the polka dot guitar and I got to touch it....he was letting different members of the audience hit a string.......thought I was going to die. Never will forget the big smile on that man's face.......love him .
Got to see Buddy live a few years ago. He's one of the greats.
The bass player is Phil Lesh who was the bass player for the Grateful Dead. I know you've listened to some of their work. He is one hell of a bass guitarist.

Buddy Guy, like most blues musicians back then, came up from the south. Many of them went to Chicago's Chess record studio. He was one of the first electric guitar players. They didn't care much about it. Wrong, that's what saved the Blues. Check the Chess record's documentary. Guarantee you will enjoy it.
