AFROLEON [THE CELEBRATION OF A DREAM]

BUMTAKA PERCUSSION is a Spanish association that promotes African culture and musical tradition, specifically West African percussion from countries such as Guinea Conakry, Ivory Coast or Burkina Faso, spreading cross-cultural values such as tolerance and inclusion through music.
In order to celebrate our X Anniversary, we organized AFROLEON, AFRICAN CULTURE CONFERENCE with concerts, African cinema, a panel discussion and dance and percussion workshops.
BABA TOURE, our master, created TERYA [FRIENDSHIP] especially for the occasion, bringing together in Leon (Spain) the greatest traditional Malinke music masters residing in Europe. He named the performance TERYA to honor his friendship with these masters and with BUMTAKA.
Thanks to this docummentary we can rekindle the moving moments we enjoyed during our tenth birthday.
