Ive had luck with the duplicolor stuff. Roll the interior and get cans for your rockers, rear corner plates and any other stuff. Use it for your ebrake handle too. Love the build man. Wish I could find even a junker one of these for a daily. Everyone wants gold for them! Paint the door cards too! Lol
Thanks man! So I bought the Herculiner kit today because a few people said they had good luck with it and it was cheaper. I got the gallon kit then 1 can for the stuff I can't roll. Gotta fix some rust holes first but I think the interior will come together nicely once that's done. I still don't know what to do for the door panels. Might make something. Prob gonna do wrap on the outside cuz I've been wanting to play with that stuff for years. Looks so fun! I've done window tint and you look at it wrong and it's toast, wrap is so forgiving, can't wait. I hope you can find a cheap one and make it how u want it. Thanks for watching!
Thank you, but that was another fail... they look amazing until you sit in em a few times, then the paint kinda fails where the creases are. I showed it in a few later videos.. I keep having to touch em up. I'm gonna get ahold of Dupli-Color because they advertise this paint as specifically for this application. I love this paint but definitely don't recommend using it on anything flexible. I hope nobody watched just that one video and went out and did the same, they'll wanna string me up by my toes!
I used the roll on Hurculiner inside a Jeep I had several years ago, it looked good but do it on a nice warm day and prepare for it to take a couple days to a week before you can even get in and tolerate driving because it be stinky fer awhile. I wished I kept my carpet also, the floor got really hot near firewall because I stripped all the baffle stuff away. Nice project dude.
I have a 1990 samurai I've been working on for the last few months. I used the Hurculiner and 1 gallon gave me enough to cover the floor from the tailgate forward twice, and I used the can to get the hard to reach areas. But it worked like a dream. I used a texture roller and 2 heads 1 for each time I applied it.
Damn really? Hearing that I might go down tomorrow and buy it. It was $111 at Advance Auto. Is that a decent price? I really did want to do a roll on kind. Thanks for letting me know!
@FixLife119 it's not to far off from what I paid. I got mine off Amazon for $95. Then I bought 2 cans of the spray. 1 can was enough to reach the hard to reach places. But I used the other can on the inside of the fender wells and the frame. Lastly I used the gorilla truck and bed liner texture roller to roll it on. Just have to clean everything really well before rolling it and be patient. Cause it's thick and will slide on the metal so your first coat will look off and not that great. But the second will roll easier. Trust the process. Also use gloves the stuff is horrible to get off your hands. Any thing else. I have some pics and stuff and would love to swap back and forth! Keep up the videos and the great work.
@FixLife119 I kinda bought and made my own kit. Did things the hard way haha. But um sure they are the same. The gorilla one just came with 2 rollers and the Pan. All from amazon

@@jonathancaraballo6429 Yup. I just came inside from sanding some more. I was sanding till 10pm again, still on the passenger's side. Hopefully tomorrow I can start the drivers side. That looks like really nice exhaust btw! Thanks for watching, just released part 21 a bit ago.

I'm really not sure yet. The way this one is mounted is pretty janky if you saw the video where I jacked it up to level it out, then took a look and realized it was slotted so I could have just loosened the bolt and repositioned it lol. Thanks for watching!
That's good cuz that's what I bought. I bought the 1 gallon kit plus 1 spray can. Been working on prepping the floors the last 2 nights. Passenger side is almost ready, drivers side not so much. I'm doing that off camera because it's so boring. Hopefully in the next couple days I'll be able to lay down the liner.
My samurai is completely covered in some sort of bed liner, I don’t like it, who ever did it didn’t prep the surface very good so it’s chipping. In the next year or so I’m gonna strip it all off and paint it.
Oh damn, that sounds like some work. I think its kinda cool when they do that but you're pretty committed at that point. How would you even get a quality bedliner off?
@@FixLife119 my buddy does paint and body and he said he’s had good results with Citrus-strip from Home Depot. He said it still sucks to remove and will ruin the paint beneath it…. Well... I've really been wanting to get some experience with wrapping something so I'll prob try that, if it turns out crappy I might rip it off and do something else.
