What an unfortunate name, Sewer by. The house looked interesting, I’m sure you know that in the kitchen the cast iron range/cooker/grill you saw was an original Ar Fra.
I have a National Trust Membership. I do like looking around. Calke Abbey is one we go to often it is half rundown to show visitors what it looked like in the 1980s, but to be honest those parts are horrible. I have seen more attractive multi storey car parks lol. The rest of the house is nice. They are always hot and stuffy though.
