Perhaps the best review of anything I've ever watched. Thank you for no music, thank you for speaking up so we can hear. And, thank you for the enthusiasm.
This is really one of the very few top Panerai watch reviews out there. Everything is very well researched and explained. Thank you for that. I myself have a Radiomir 380 and am currently saving up for either a 1320 or the 524.
This is pretty damn good review mate. Thank you. I've been in love with Panerai for a long time. That brand pretty much brought me to "luxury" level watches. The 5000 and 9000 movements are pretty damn impressive. I'm undecided between the 560, the 312 and the 389.
Thanks. Yeah, tough choices there. I need a date, so the 560 Base wouldn't work out for me. The Submersibles are damn cool, but I love the look of the 1950 case personally. Now... if they would have had a Carbotech in stock, I might have gone that way...
Convinced me. I was debating between the PAM312 and the PAM422. The WR of 300m on the PAM312 vs the 100m on the PAM422 also tipped me in this direction. I was ok with automatic or manual wind, or 44mm or 47mm. Both amazing looking! Love the 1950 case design. Can't wait to take delivery of my PAM312.
From one watch reviewer to another, excellent review. Very well done. I've been looking to add a Panerai to my collection for a while and this review confirmed why.
Excellent review! I keep going back and forth between 312 and 1312 myself. Think a bit more towards 1312 to have slimmer case profile. Glad you enjoying your watch. You really helped in making my decision towards panerai. Cheers
Got my first PAM this week, a 773. Really impressed by the watch and brand, likely not my last. The jumping hour feature of your watch is such a handy feature.
I've got the pam 531 GMT Purchased the 531 for the same reason as you, the movement. Mine has the power indicator in the window. Also the GMT. price from the factory $9,000. These are the best watches I've owned, and I own several. Great video.
Great review. Nice watch, but wish the movement was more decorated (i.e. with the Panerai name engraved all over) if it's going to have a display caseback.
Great video. All that you said - I agree. However, there one version that is more satisfying OVER the time than iconic 312/1312...it is 1539. With numerical face, it makes the beast more elegant, more rare. Sophisticated.
I'm taking a hard look at Panerai (PAM1312) and loved your review. Quick question: How do you find the watch to be in everyday wear? For instance, being mindful of handwashing and showers with a leather or suede strap? Do you find yourself switching to the rubber strap every time you get wet?
Thanks for the informative and detailed video. I just got the PAM1321. Thats the P9012 movement. Dunno if you have any experience with that but I wanted to ask if you have ever heard of where you pulled the crown out completely to set the time, the seconds hand resets and hacks but when done and you pushed the crown back in, the watch is not running and the balance is still locked? Have you also had it heard where the seconds did not reset to zero but was a few seconds off like at 58 or so? I had these things happen yesterday and it took several tries of trying to set the time for it to finally work. So far time keeping is good but I hope there was no damage caused and there was no manufacturing defect, especially with a brand new watch. Thanks.
Great Review! Happened to come across the PAM01312 which I liked the blue sub-seconds treatment but would have preferred it with lum like the 312 instead of the tan one....just curious if you considered the 1312 as well.
Nice video, i've subscribed... Also have 312 and even got the brown original strap and Swiss ammo strap. Really like your explanations - easy to understand, not patronizing like some watch guys on RUclips... Unrelated questions - you are mentioning Joma shop in your video - im considering buying Vacheron watch that is not available anywhere else but Joma - is it reputable seller? Thanks in advance...
Just got this same watch last week...... amazing and beautiful. Are they going to stop making the 312 ? if so that will make it very desirable ? Great review !
Great review but looking at the prices today, they are most certainly NOT an investment grade product. I paid $17k for my watch in 2014 (PAM270), it's now priced at about $8k. Not bothered as I like it and want to keep it but thought it's worth a mention...
Thanks for the review, I recently bought one of these it was pricey but I love it. Can you provide a link to some of the strap sellers out there you recommend. Many thanks
Great video, extremely helpful! I'm struggling deciding between the PAM312 and PAM422 and would like to make a decision asap. I'm 6'1" and suppose that my wrist size is such that I can 'pull off' the larger 422 but 312 seems more versatile. Any words of wisdom would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
Those are the same two I've been debating. Finally landed on the 312 because of the brushed finish and the 300m WR (vs all polished and 100m of the 422)... Was was cool with either an automatic or handwind movement. Both watches are amazing looking, but it ended up the 312 for me. Did you get one?
I own this. I find the in-house movement is not very robust, the crown is hard to catch the groove to change date vs time. It has been serviced once and I use this watch sparingly. I tried to like it but I’m just concerned about the movement. I love the look though
I've owned the 312 for about 5 years now. I have had a good few issues withe movement too, not the most reliable. Seems to have worked out some of the issues overtime. Nothing compared to my Seiko SKX007, never had issues with that.
It's one of the best modern PAM references, 1950 case is way to go also. Enjoy in good health, chk out Greg Stevens Design and TedSu, 2 great strap makers.
While this quick release strap change system is indeed "quick", why not just have drilled lugs and push them to release? Just like old 5-digit Rolex sport watches. What's the benefit of having the little button to push?
leonggyooi It's a great watch! I've had it for 2 months now and I have no complaints. The dial is clean, power reserve on the back and the GMT hand can be hidden behind the hour hand. I'd say go for it.
Owned it for the past 4 years. Pretty good watch. Very clean with just the GMT. You can also hide the gmt hand. Would say it's been reliable the past 4 years. Having it serviced right now.
There are several dozen great places online (and probably a hundred others too). I have ordered from Mario Paci, TC Straps, Gunny Straps, SNPR, Stone Creek, Di Stefano and a few others.
got the blue dial and banged it and got a dint in the cristal... and was thinking if I change it I would like a more domed crystal.... have you seen that mod???
i dont think Panerai is low key. Most watch enthusias know what Panerai is. Normal people who dont care about watches at all just know about Rolex and Omega, not other Brands, even Patek. Ps: i have the 312 too, but on a 15cm wrist....not as beautiful as you wear it
Perhaps the best review of anything I've ever watched. Thank you for no music, thank you for speaking up so we can hear. And, thank you for the enthusiasm.

Just purchased a 312 used and this video was immensely helpful. Thank you
This is pretty damn good review mate. Thank you.

Perfect blend of polished and brushed finishes.

I've got the pam 531 GMT

These are the best watches I've owned, and I own several. Great video.
That was a cool fact about Stallone. I guess that's why all the guys in the expendables was wearing one.
Very good review. Your love for this watch is contagious, as John Mayer with the Big Pilot.
Absolute beauty. Interesting the in-house movement seems solid. Good price, good value.
Great video . I agree with you on the system to change straps I have a PAM 312 and I now own 15 different straps lol. Love the brand.
Just bought a Rolex. Your review makes me want to buy this model next.
Great review. Nice watch, but wish the movement was more decorated (i.e. with the Panerai name engraved all over) if it's going to have a display caseback.
Quite cool review and the most important thing of all it, from 15:58, I must say, you are completely right..!! thanks for this review mate..!!!
Is this watch still worth buying in 2023?
Learned some facts here. Didn’t know that about Stallone. Good stuff Jim.
Great review👍🏼 Just purchased the Pam 088 GMT R series. Love the brand and the style.
I love Panerai i have three radiomir 449, luminor gmt pam 0088, and luminor ceremica gmt.
Great video. All that you said - I agree. However, there one version that is more satisfying OVER the time than iconic 312/1312...it is 1539. With numerical face, it makes the beast more elegant, more rare. Sophisticated.
That’s interesting your case back seems to be brushed finish and my 312 has a polished case back around the exhibition glass
I ordered mine and cant wait for it to arrive soon! It took me some time to save but I just cant have this watch.
Beautiful watch. Love it. Great review too!
OMG , I’m getting one next week!!!
Lovely timepiece, wear it in good health!
Beautiful watch, very nice review, thank you.
Thanks for your video. I just got a pam 1312. Love it.
Great video. I'm thinking about picking this up at an AD around me with some new older stock. Any thoughts or regrets after 2 years on the wrist?

I have the same PAM. It's my favourite watch.
great review, but why in some angle. I feel my 312's minute hand is pointing upwards,
Nice review. And that's a lot of straps! The vintage gray is 👌
Any aftermarket store you recommend to get the straps?
Great Review! Happened to come across the PAM01312 which I liked the blue sub-seconds treatment but would have preferred it with lum like the 312 instead of the tan one....just curious if you considered the 1312 as well.

Strong , unique and minimal watch ever🙏🏻
Nice video! The only thing that I leaves me thinking. Yours, say 33xx/4500. Mine says 12xx/4000. 😮😮😮
I think the 312 would also be great with a Shark Mesh strap, as it blends in just perfectly whatever your 'attire' happens to be . . . .
I have this in my collection, i love it. Only people who know what it is are those into watches
Just got this same watch last week...... amazing and beautiful. Are they going to stop making the 312 ? if so that will make it very desirable ?
Great review !
hi! great review. does the panerai feel too thick? whats the thickness of this one? and whats your wrist size ?
Hi there, where did you buy your aftermarket straps and buckles? I'm interested in picking up a 312 for my upcoming birthday. Thanks!
Great review but looking at the prices today, they are most certainly NOT an investment grade product. I paid $17k for my watch in 2014 (PAM270), it's now priced at about $8k. Not bothered as I like it and want to keep it but thought it's worth a mention...
Black on the black is still the nicest..grey is nice too..my next strap will be grey..
Hi! Love your review! I also have this same watch and am very interested in the buckle you referenced. Where did you purchase it from?
This one or PAM104... what do you think? Is the in-house mov't so much better? Why is it not COSC certified?
Thanks for the review, I recently bought one of these it was pricey but I love it.
Can you provide a link to some of the strap sellers out there you recommend.
Many thanks

1312 is out now, slightly thinner.

What brand is the gray strap shown later in the video. Fantastic.
Great review! Still have it?
Great presentation
Thanks
Wish you could do all the watches
Really thorough review. Thanks.
Hi I like you last strap on the show - where did you get it? Thanks
Very impressive watch and video. I have been looking at a Jaeger Reverso, but I will have to take a look at this one. Thanks!
Is Panerai suppose to wear tight or loose?
Because I can't pick the right hole on the rubber strap, it was either kind of too tight or too loose =(
is that Panerai alligator strap considered "antique brown" or "gold"?
It's one of the best modern PAM references, 1950 case is way to go also. Enjoy in good health, chk out Greg Stevens Design and TedSu, 2 great strap makers.
that grey suede looking strap is awesome. where did you buy it!
bro,
i want to know plz
I need to know as well
Great Review! Thank u!
Friggin' awesome review. Good info.
Great review. Would subscribe, however seems you have stopped posting new videos.
Thank you! I’m actually reviving the channel now with new energy.
Anyone else blow out their eardrums in the beginning thinking the video was muted or something....?
Hey bud, whats your wrist size?
Looks perfect
thanks for the review, btw is the crystal slightly domed?
yes
Do you have a link for the aftermarket buckle vendor? Also deployment?
Great review. What was the name of the store online you mentioned where we can find them?
I have a 616 carbotech ! It a badass watch
I'm getting one luckily I get a 50 percent discount cause I work in the richemont group
Fantastic review dude. They grey antique strap absolutely sold it to me. Interesting taste in car colour too! Porsche 928? ;)
While this quick release strap change system is indeed "quick", why not just have drilled lugs and push them to release? Just like old 5-digit Rolex sport watches. What's the benefit of having the little button to push?
Great Panerai review! Just subbed
Great review! 👍
Great video and watch!
Looking at 320 GMT..what do you think?
leonggyooi It's a great watch! I've had it for 2 months now and I have no complaints. The dial is clean, power reserve on the back and the GMT hand can be hidden behind the hour hand. I'd say go for it.

Fantastic review
Amazing review! Makes me want to flip my SubC and get a 312 LOL. How long are they going to discontinue the production of the 312?
Looks well on that strap mate
Good review. Do you feel 4 years later that Panerai are still watches that can resell and not lose their value? Have things changed since 2016?
Great review
first true dive watch was Blancpain Fifty Fathoms no??
I wish you still reviewed watches. 😕
Where did you get the gray strap?
What's the slimmer version called??
Question-what companies do you get your straps from. Thank you
There are several dozen great places online (and probably a hundred others too). I have ordered from Mario Paci, TC Straps, Gunny Straps, SNPR, Stone Creek, Di Stefano and a few others.
I seen the Strapsmith also...good guy to deal with.
I'm on to you, Louis Black!
How’s the watch today..?
Classy watch! Nice!
Can you do a review on invicta watches?
lol
What size is your wrist for reference?
got the blue dial and banged it and got a dint in the cristal... and was thinking if I change it I would like a more domed crystal.... have you seen that mod???
tunapv ive never seen it but id imagine slighy dome would look great considering the type of bezels paneris have
i dont think Panerai is low key. Most watch enthusias know what Panerai is. Normal people who dont care about watches at all just know about Rolex and Omega, not other Brands, even Patek. Ps: i have the 312 too, but on a 15cm wrist....not as beautiful as you wear it
Not cosc certified ??
The watch of the mighty Regia Marina frog man X Mas in World WWII
i love Panerai .......
after 6 weeks my cal. 9010 do +3s/day
There is no mechanical watch on this or any other planet that does not gain or lose a second over three weeks time.
