Fast becoming My Favorite Emulation Device RUclipsr. You've got a lot to beat Russ at RetroGameCorps, but I'm glad that you've moved from collection to emulation. In gaming, we are reaching critical mass where enthusiasts can provide a better experience for legacy content than most AAA studios, and if for the sake of argument we pause copyright law overreach (which it is VERY much overreaching in its current state), the only way these games will ever remain accessible to coming generations is through emulation. People who work on emulators and emulation devices are like the Gutenberg revolution to maintaining Shakespeare's greatest works like the first folio. These are people whose love for these games is coming through in their devotion to letting them continue to see the light of day and be playable on modern devices. Yes, the good games AND the bad ones. Once a game has run its course over a console's life cycle, let fans support THAT version of the game in perpetuity through emulation. I like PrimeHack and had just gotten done setting it up on my Steam Deck and PC when the Metroid Prime Remaster dropped. What did I do? I PURCHASED THE REMASTER, GLADLY. It was an honor to the original while updating it with all we've learned about what makes game playing fun. And it was a reduced price. I hate the Mario 3D AllStars compilation. It's just the ability to emulate three games on the Switch using an inferior emulation experience. No HD textures lovingly crafted, no bonus modes, no widescreen support, not even Mario Galaxy 2 which would have been easy to slap on since it was such a carelessly-crafted experience. Plus, they made it available for a limited time, charged the same as a first-party brand-new AAA entry, and that really put a chip on my shoulder. The future, for me, is backwards. It's whatever progress we can make at preserving the classics and making them accessible for me, my children, and their children.
I'd say for the glare issue, either a polarizer filter for the camera, or the cheaper way for your instance because you already have it. If you can record it with a capture card (if the usb-c port supports video on this handheld in particular or if it has hdmi out) split screen it and have the console in video on the corner and just have the main screen be the OS via capture card.
These vertical devices are not for people with big hands imo. You get "T-Rex hand cramp" really quickly. I've tried 3 of these devices now and my advice is, if you have big hands, get a horizontal device with a screen that is a minimum of 5". That will assure the device is big enough that you aren't cramping your hands into an uncomfortable position and give up after 20 mins of play. I sold my first device because of exactly this. The Anbernic 505 would be the recommended version over this if you wanted to stay with Anbernic, if not.... of course you have the ever popular Retroid Pocket 3+. Anything with a 3.5"-4.5" screen is simply too small for me, squinting to see the details on the screen and hand cramp both make these a no go imo.
If I remember correctly, a lot of these companies can't sell you ones with preloaded roms since that goes outside the laws of emulation. You can own an emulator, but roms are what get you for intellectual property. I agree though, getting roms nowadays is nowhere near as easy as it was a decade ago. Back in 08 you could just find huge dumps with a wide variety of games but now you gotta individually find them and load em, the business is just getting hard with lawsuits. But if it's outsourced from another country then usually it's a lot more freeball from there.
@@benamisai-kham5892you just haven't looked obviously. Tiny best set: Go is literally what you're saying doesn't exist and I just got into the whole rom/emulation scene this week lol.

Hi, there are some anti-glare screen protector that i have used on my Nintendo switch and its good for recording screens because it eliminates glare. Maybe you should give it a try for other consoles too

I'm always in the market for a good, reliable handheld. I have a Nintendo switch which I adore but I grew up on old games and I am very interested in this particular device. Just something I can put in my pocket and use on my long train journeys. Cheers dude 😎
A handheld that plays PS2 and GameCube? Now that's what I want. That wooden texture looks cool. Do I have to plug this into my computer to charge it? Beyond Good and Evil would be nice too. I'm having issues with the PC version.
I ended up getting a new 2ds XL and installed a 512gb sd card and installed a ton of emulators. The only drawback is it can be slow due to the sd card being nearly full but I can play nearly every retro game I want. No PS2 but everything up to DREAMCAST and DS/2S/3DS games. I am set.

I've ordered that same Wood Grain version ANBERNIC 405V on the preorder launch date. I absolutely like everything about it, especially the overall design which I think is stylish and classy! I play games, watch TV and local video files having a 1TB Team Group Pro Plus micro sd installed. ANBERNIC came out with the 405V out of the blue and I didn't realize ANBERNIC was working on a portrait version of their 405M. I like your emulation videos I would like to see more cheap options like this because modern games are such trash and old games are crazy expensive. It's time to emulate everything
152$ is still pretty rough. The rg36s is like 38$ right now too. You can buy used phones or new in box old ones for cheaper. I'd honestly think buying a switch might be better. Also, is the screen HD or not? The marketing is not concrete.
1. How are the speakers? 2. The sound never stutters when emulation N64 and higher level systems? 3. All the 3D games are running at native resolution?
Sound can stutter on PS2/GameCube games. This chipset can upscale PS1 Dreamcast and N64. I don't know the speaker quality on this but on my 505's they are decent. This is kind of an odd device because there is the Odin 1 and 2 out for slightly more then the rgb30 and the new retroid 2s plus with the rock chip that are both slightly cheaper. I haven't tried it on this chipset but if you get one with the t618 chip try the us and pal versions of both the GameCube and PS2 games for best results along with tinkering with aether/using different builds of dolphin. This chipset can get away with a lot.

The title is a bit misleading He only shows 1 ps2 game and 1 GameCube game. For all you know the device can "Play" NGC/PS2 games but at half or quarter speed if at all. This is typically how it goes for these cheaper handheld devices, sell that you "can" run 6th gen games but a majority of the time we're playing n64/ps1 games.
I have a 505. Emulation has really come a long way and especially for this chipset. Roughly half of the PS2 and GameCube library I would seriously play on this chipset and that would involve tinkering. Games like SSX 3 just work on dolphin though with no tinkering. It really depends but he is not being misleading. I'm fairly picky too cause I hate slowdown(mild under clocking is fine and so is running pal versions depending on the game)
If this plays Metal Gear Solid 2 & 3.. it could be a better option than the MGS Collection to just buy a whole new handheld to have the original on the go. Even better if it could play Twin Snakes on Gamecube, which has been trapped there for almost 2 decades.

This chipset upscales PSP PS1 Dreamcast and N64 games fyi as well
Say money isn’t an option, what’s the best all around retro console? Plays games up to PS2
Odin 2
That thing is a monster😮😮😮
I just added a XUMO streaming box to my streaming collection. Pretty good.
I love that nWo hat 🤘
If this plays Metal Gear Solid 2 & 3.. it could be a better option than the MGS Collection to just buy a whole new handheld to have the original on the go. Even better if it could play Twin Snakes on Gamecube, which has been trapped there for almost 2 decades.
liked for the Paul Wall name drop!
