Elliott Sadler is what I define as a #TrueFather. Someone who puts his family first and is striving to teach and motivate not only his own two children but also all of the other kids in his community. God Bless him for being such a wonderful man.
I truly believe Elliott Sadler is one of the best, Attitude, Driving, all of it. He will truly be missed but never forgotten, congratulations on your new venture and your retirment.
I always enjoyed watching Elliott back in those M&M's cars back in the day.. But my driver was Dale Jarrett in those 88 Quality Care Fords. And I tell you what, nothing made me happier than hearing Sadler mentioned DJ like that and how he was a mentor for him in his younger days and how thats translated into how he treats teammates and coaches his teams. Love it!
Remember when evernham (or maybe after Petty took over) motorsports was about broke, Sadler fell back in case someone needed pushed to the front because he was guaranteed a starting spot?
Met Elliot Sadler at his truck stop in Emporia back in 2016. I was in the restaurant and he walked in to have breakfast with his daughter. He was just as nice then as he always is.
I could sit in a corner and miss meals to hear these stories all day. Thank yall for sharing. The reality vs what we all thought is amazing. Such an awesome group yall are. Thank god you started your own team. 🙏❤
Just seeing this...Elliott and Hermie have always been genuine, good dudes to me...and hearing Elliott talk about coaching and his kids, especially his son’s health issues he worked through...blown away, Y’all...I’m just a daddy coach...but I love coaching kids...main goal is making them great teammates and fans of their favorite sport for life. Rock on, Elliott! Great job, Jr!

South Hill is only about 15 minutes from my house, and my daughter has played softball in Emporia many times. Great to hear these guys talking about their fun times, and fun places. I thoroughly agree! This guy is 100% Class Act! The part I would love to find on RUclips would be Elliot jammed into/onto a GoKart and Dale Jr. on the sidelines with a video crew! That would be hilarious. I think it probably would need to be built about 150% scale size just to keep his knees below his "sightline!!" I'm not sure the 12 year olds out there would be all that thrilled though. ;^)

Your golf cart guy ran over my foot but it was well worth it. , miss watching you race dale but will always be a huge fan. All best bud.

Great episode - my first ever NASCAR race was as a Pit Road guest of the #17 Hermie Sadler DeWalt/Peebles car at the Opryland 320 Busch race in Nashville - met Dale Jr who was running an unsponsored car the year before he ran the AC Delco - Tony Stewart ran the 44 Shell Pontiac and Casey Atwood finished 2nd to Sterling Marlin - if only the sport was like that now
Elliot is one of the main guys to keep the xfinity series respectable and lended that professional driver level of competition just like AJ is now doing! I hope more senior Cup guys make the move down in their later careers because they keep real Nascar fans involved more so than a bunch of 18 year old drivers do.
