Long Sands is NOT a seven mile stretch of beach. Think about it, or better yet, drive it and consult your odometer. It's less than 1.5 miles. Maybe York has seven miles of coastline consisting of Harbor Beach, Long Sands, the Nubble, Short Sands (and maybe a couple of more beaches up to the Cape Neddick Lobster Pound area, or even the Ogunquit/York townline). Please edit this video. That claim is so deceptive. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/York_Beach,_Maine#Beaches

Hey I appreciate your passion about accurate information...but there's no need to be rude about it. I made a mistake when mentioning longsands as 7 Miles I was referring to all beaches in York. To the 550 people who watched this and the 5 people that made it that far in the video...I apologize

@@Livetheseacoast, I'm sorry my reply came across as rude. That was not my intention. Still, for a seacoast focused channel, you should have some familiarity with the terrain. If you read something that you mistakenly thought said the beach was 7 miles, you should have thought, "It can't be."

As u pass by York Town Hall nr end of video, check out First Parish Church next door, whose congregation was 1st "gathered" in the 1630's. Bell tower plays beauriful chime hymns several times/day. Gorgeous trees in cemetery behind there. Some very old graves there & even older in small cemetery directly across street from church.
