      Haha. What does Nora have to say about this?

      You're thinking of backhand. Backside refers to the direction of the spin, like skateboarding.

      @@PlaySA In surfing backside means the way you're riding. This isn't skateboarding or snowboarding

      @@cloud84strife The alley oop was invented in skateboarding and thats how they named it. Im with you though, its confusing and they named it wrong.

      @@xwhite2020 yes of course, but in surfing a back manouver/trick is when you surf on your backside (for example a goofy footer surfing a right) and the frontside tricks are on the left wave (for a goofy). I'm not sure about this in skateboarding or snowboarding. I do surfing as a pro rider, the other sports I only do for fun.

    That's a backside air reverse, not a backside alley-oop

      What’s the difference between an air reverse and an alley oop

    • @cloud84strife
      @cloud84strife 2 года назад

      the first yes, the second is a frontside alley-oop

    • @cloud84strife
      @cloud84strife 2 года назад

      @@LaraTang an air reverse is an aerial that you do spinning in the direction of the wave, and you land backward (means that you land like fakie, if you land a 180 on an halfpipe with skateboard or snowboard, with the tail on your front and you in switch position). An alley oop is an aerial that you do spinning in the opposite direction of the wave.

      It's a backSIDE alley oop, that refers to the direction of the spin like skateboarding. I actually came here looking for a backHAND alley oop, which is what you're thinking of. Maybe it's impossible?

      @@PlaySA Rodeo flip is basically an ally oop (surfing backhand) but its slightly inverted and it's goes and extra 180, lands fakie then another 180 slide/spin on the face.
