Great topic. A lot of people don't think about that. As an old school DJ. I get with the artist find out what songs he is going to sing so I don't make a mistake and play them. That is just me.🎚🎙🎧🎼🎛

That is great! I do the same thing when I'm playing in between sets of a band that might be performing.

A warm up dont play all the bangers but theres plenty of fire warm up music u can play to keep the crowds attention.

As a old school DJ. When I play with other DJ like to know what set they're going to do so I don't cross into that lane cuz I feel we should have enough respect for one another not to do that it is enough music out there to play. For all of us.🎛🎼🎧🎙🎚

Playing a artist music before their performance is a no no. As it relates to playing the bangers as a opening Dj? It depends on the situation. As a audience hell yes I want the opening Dj to have the crowd on 💯 and it’s up to the closing Dj to carry on the excitement however as a Dj I would not want my opening Dj having a better or more exited set than mine!

Honestly I think is "somewhat" OK for a DJ to play maybe 1 of the performing artist songs. Lol but not he whole album of the artist. But when the artist starts to perform the song most people are probably going to be bobbing their head, watching the show, and probably mingling. Some may dance. I think it's just a totally different vibe when artist is performing their music versus a DJ playing the song.

And as far as a DJ plan all the hits at the beginning of the night. A lot of D j's are trying to prove theirselves when their performing. And I believe it's part of advertising them selves also. Every DJ job is to do their best. And I don't think most D j's intentionally try to play all the hits. There's Billions of of songs and music out there. Bro, I've heard you play, and you don't have anything to worry about who plays before or after you. You straight, you'll get the job done no matter what.

Thank thanks. But it's not me that is worrying. I've seen another DJ for an event that I was doing sound for that he was the second DJ out of four and he tried to play all of the Bangerz as well as played music from the artist that was supposed to perform later on that night. Thanks for your comment but also how do you feel about a DJ playing the artist music before they're supposed to perform?
