The two things have nothing to do with each other, that moment of her observing the ceiling is her seeing her deceased friend who looks like an alien, since she is invisible but Mimihime can see her

I do too like to see the sky whenever something really bugging me and that usually intangible, its like breathing and relieving, not like a quite in the ocean where even though its quiet but its like u drowning into something that make u loss, but look at the sky is like making me free from the burden that been smuddering me
i find it crazy that people didnt know they were the same people, at the end of episode 8 , mimihime was shown in the afterlife and after usami pulled the trigger he was next to her as a bright light. also, same hair colors, same eyebrows, eye colors
I missed that scene 😂, but I don't regret it tho, because in the last episode when I realized who they are, it hit me like a truck and made the ending so satisfying for me.

Isn't that obvious, the heaven children heading towards lively city at the end that must be past, it all started when they became free and destroyed Japan and Maru must be the son of Tokio and Kona, that's what I assumed.

These are kids that don't know anything about love, that is why it was so hard for Shiro to describe what he was feeling. Mimihime probably just wanted to give him something that is a part of herself.
I dunno if there is an official name, but it's "I love you" by Kensuke Ushio. He was also the composer for Chainsaw Man, dunno if you've watched it but his OST "sweet dreams" for the 9th episode was really heartbreaking as well.

For Shiro it was emotional and also phycological knowing that his despite his best intensions could never truly help her only prolong her suffering as long as her will lasted. I can't imagine the sort of self loathing Shiro must have developed over the years.
All the children were genetic experiments that went wrong. In time their cores started to get corrupted and they got a fatal disease. After they die the corrupted core takes over and turns them into mosters.
@eco5322 now that you mention it, this was all orchestrated by the supercomputer, who also helped get Kona and Tokio together through surveillance hacking. Makes you wonder, how far ahead was that supercomputer thinking and had everything calculated

Same for the camera hacking too. The part that confirmed it for me though was the planned breakout by locking out the adults from the kids by Mina.
Basically these kids were the result of genetic experimentation and eventually turn into monsters that eat humans, and the guy with the white hair tried to preserve her as a human for as long as he could but she was eventually turning, so they kinda euthanized her so she could die as a human
