It looks so good!! I've been loving your cricut videos, I've been debating getting one for ages. I should make one of these with black and purple stones and something spooky!
Aww thank you! I have wanted one forever and am so happy to finally have one - they’re so much fun 🤩 & yessssss a black and purple spooky tumbler would be so cool!
Hello! I haven’t used this type of glue (GemTac) with a tumbler that has a rubbery or soft touch finish - I’m not sure how well it would stick, but a more industrial glue like E6000 should work for that - I have another video where I rhinestoned crocs with that glue and they’re still holding up awesome. But typically yes, I sand everything before I rhinestone!
Hey Elizabeth, I made a bling cup and wanted to put something over it like a top coat to keep the rhinestones from coming off. I have mod podge super gloss, would that work? Tried to attach a photo but it wouldn't let me.
Hello! I never recommend putting any top coat over rhinestones - it will fill in all the little edges and facets that make your rhinestones sparkle and you’ll be left with a sad dull cup after all your hard work. As long as you used a nice strong glue and application technique, there is no need to seal your stones and you shouldn’t have any issues with them coming off 😊
The rhinestones won’t fall off if you wash it in like hot water or coke and use soap or sponge right? Always wondered that because I want to start making some
Yes you can absolutely wash them without losing any stones! I have this video tutorial demonstrating how to clean a rhinestone tumbler: ruclips.net/video/wbxeDfLQeVM/видео.html
if we want to paint it and seal it - what kind of paint , and what does it mean to seal it ? also when do we need to do this ? for example if we are using a stainless steel thermos, or black thermos cant we just use any color rhimestone ? the color of the thermos will show ? what colors would you recommend for a stainless steel bottle ? so if i have a red bottle then i should use red rhimestone etc ? what about the crystal ab stones - what would they go good with ? like a white of pink bottle ?
Hi! I have some other videos where I paint the tumbler before applying rhinestones, ex. my rhinestone water bottle video. I just use acrylic paint. Sometimes I also coat with resin, like in my mermaid rhinestone tumbler video. You can apply any colour of rhinestone to whatever colour of tumbler you want, but it will look best if the tumbler matches the stones because it will blend the tiny gaps between the stones. Any imperfections will be a lot more noticeable if the colours don’t match. It’s a lot more important to match the colours if your stones have a clear back, like the ones I used in my water bottle video. I find a white base or a silver base looks best with crystal AB stones! Hope this helps 😊
Could you recommend another place to get the rhinestones? I am wanting to do a cup but need it to be done by the 9th of September and I won't get delivery from this vendor until September 8th.
Hi! I’ve been ordering rhinestones from Temu and SHEIN lately and I haven’t waited longer than 1.5 weeks for the delivery 😊 I am in Ontario, Canada so I cannot speak to delivery times in other locations but I’ve had no issues with any of my orders. There are some options on Amazon but I find the variety is limited and the price is much higher, and I think there are some options on Etsy where delivery times would vary depending on the seller!
Nope! Putting a seal over top of the stones will ruin the little facets that make them sparkle. As long as they’re glued on properly with a good product, they won’t budge even when washing (by hand)!
Hi Carleise, thanks for your comment! I am not an expert on these regulations, but from my understanding, FDA approval is meant for glues that will be coming in direct contact with food or will be heated around food. An FDA approved or “food safe” glue is necessary when you’re doing something like gluing a broken ceramic mug or plate back together. From my research, Gem Tac is considered non-toxic and “safe for kids and pets”, and because it’s meant to apply rhinestones to various surfaces, it’s not really made to come in direct contact with food. It is only on the outer surface of the tumbler and will not be touching the liquid directly. I cannot find specific information about it being food safe or FDA approved, but I believe they only give that certification to things like food, drugs, cosmetics etc. that are being consumed or applied to your body. Gem Tac (which I used in this video) is a popular choice compared to other glues such as E6000, which I’ve read has toxic fumes and cancer-causing ingredients. It’s a generally frowned upon adhesive in the rhinestone community. Sorry I can’t be more helpful but I hope that answers your question 😊

Thank you!💖
Thank you! I was so afraid of rhinestone art, because I didn't know what sizes (rhinestones) or glue to use. I'm trying to become a crafter.
It’s confusing at the start but once you understand the basics you can make anything!! You’re going to do great 😊
@@ElizabethSparkles thank you for the encouragement 😊

I’m a beginner and I ordered half round pearls. Could you show a video on how to bling with the half round pearls and what method you prefer for them?
Hi there! Yes, I have a video tutorial for that already 😊 you can find it here:
ruclips.net/video/cuGvZOL5xCE/видео.html
Absolutely love this ❤ do you think you could drink out of them or would you prefer people not to
Thank you! Yes of course, I drink out of mine all the time! I always use a straw, so my lips don’t touch the rhinestones.
Hi I was wondering can I buy a product from you ? Your water bottles are awesome
Thank you! Right now I just make these tutorials and don’t sell any of my creations, but I appreciate the kind words 💖
I made piggy banks with diamond art diamonds. They will work for anything. The most important thing is to sealthem.
That’s awesome! What do you do to seal your stones?
Hi! Do you sand any material of tumbler? Speaking specifically on the matte black tumblers with the rubber feel ? Thank you!

Thank you! I saw some on Shein but wasn't sure what the quality would be. This helps!

@robinscarberry6847 I have never had an issue with quality of rhinestones on SHEIN 😊
