Samuel Miller OK so. Here we go. It’s a 454 block stroked over 30 over. Manly forged rods and pistons with the 496 stroker crank and assembly kit. A magnum comp profile radical idol cam I’ll have to look for specs on that. Procomp heads ported and polished port matched with a high-rise intake manifold. Then I use a 950 pro-form carburetor. Hooker headers long tube. ATH 400 built transmission 3200 stall converter and 411 gears along with 100 shot of nitrous LOL. And that was my streetcar!! 😂😂😂😂
It really sounds fucking great bro for real id love to see her run and come on now give us a burnout LMFAO what's the redlne 6500 give or take I bet I'm close max hp about 5200 if it were on a Dyno but doesn't drop off either if you didn't think it would self destruct 9 grand but it's Nascar territory there and small block Rpms done right like that one she will spin to the stratosphere lmao
So when these engines heat up the rpm goes up so if it’s at 550 cold at 220 degrees it’s up at 800 you tune a cold bb and it’s gonna diesel out every time took me a couple summers to figure that out

Sounds great. I didn’t know CA allowed you to register cars with actual engines. 😂 100 HP jetting is nothing for the spray on that thing either so it should just be starting to wake up. I’ve put 200 HP worth of giggle gas through a stock 496 and made great power even with that and those stock Vortec heads leave a lot to be desired.
Right on man I love the way that car sounded. Long tube headers 3 1/2 inch straight pipe and a big block 496 with a big ass cam!! I’m trying to tell these kids nowadays just because a car is loud doesn’t mean it’s fast. But for the Chevelle it was loud and fast!!! My favorite sound

Here's what he found out the WYD band is the perfect way to test for knowledge and expertise because hitting the perfect number on tune up is the key in your video I heard the comment it's fat you now have a backup with a wide band and you will know exactly how fat or lean it really is dual gauge I have a sensor in both sides

Sounds like you have a weak valve spring. When bbc and sbc engines with large cam pops at low idle and you give it gas and it pops. Valve spring, too light. Add a 30 thousandth shim under each and go from there. .060 is usually where you end up. Make sure to check that the spring doesn't go into bind.
Sounds awesome. Do u have specs on the cam? I have the 11-460-8 in my 496. Aluminum heads. Dome mahle pistons. 10.5. Scat rotating assembly. I’m hoping it sound like this or close to it.

There might be a couple videos I have of some launches but camera foot footage wasn’t the best back then in the dark, but I can see what I can pull up. Maybe you guys can get a taste of what this thing sounds like full throttle.
It had a magnum comp cam in it profile was pro street/bracket race car. I never found the box again or I would give you all the specifics on the Cam details. But I can tell you it was a Straight up Beast.

@@joedimauro1065 you're doing something wrong. It should idle 1150 to 1275 when cold. 660 or so hot while in gear.

No, I didn’t use a wideband. I use the old-school drag race carburetor mechanic.

At the end of the video you can see the carb float level being adjusted. Most likely the reason for the slight cough.
