The idea that someone would break-in, snatch the little girl from her bed and carry her down those wooden stairs without anyone hearing. Then spend all that time binding her up like that and THEN go back up and sit down at the kitchen table for another half hour writing that long-ass note while there's still 3 other people in the house. And when the cops show up in the morning, Patsy's still wearing her outfit from the night before? And then they refuse to speak to the police and hop on a plane to leave the state? C'mon man!

@@nbenefiel So the killer broke into the house on some previous day and took sheets of paper from Patsy's notepad? Then went home and wrote that long rambling note which somehow included the exact amount of John's Christmas bonus? And then brought the note back with him on Xmas day but then killed Jon Benet instead of kidnapping her and still left the note? Sure that makes perfect sense.

Don't forget rummaging around John's desk to find pay stubs, going back upstairs to get different clothing to dress JonBenet in after wiping her down and removing whatever clothing she had been wearing before she was "kidnapped". And no one woke up or heard a thing. In most crimes, the criminals bring their own tools of the trade. Rather suspicious that most if not all of everything used in this crime came from within the house. Some will say it was to frame Patsy. Why? Did she anger another pageant mom maybe? None of the intruder theory makes any sense to me.

@@nbenefiel You are assuming a lot, here. You cannot unequivocally state what happened, unless of course you were there. This is just conjecture, your opinion. The evidence of the wrists being tied shows they were not tightly tied around her wrists. That came from JR. And yet he was able to easily slip one of the cord ligatures off one of her wrists. The coroner also stated that he was able to fit one of his fingers in between her wrist and the cord that bound her wrists. He also noted that there were no marks on the skin under the bindings. They were not tight. Further, after examining the duct tape, investigators found that there was a perfect set of imprints of JBR’s lips on the sticky side of the tape. There was also mucous from her nose. Both suggest that the tape was not applied at the outset of “the abduction”, but rather most likely after some time had elapsed.

Of all the things I have read and watched about the brutal murder of JonBenet Ramsey, this analysis is the most reasoned and the most scientifically intelligent. Many of us long suspected that a member of the Ramsey family was responsible, not an "intruder".
Also, why would any kidnapper write a 2-1/2-page ransom note? The information about John's bonus amount in the note is also telling. The handwriting analysis clinches it.

@@nbenefiel Respectfully, I disagree. All the verifiable evidence does NOT exonerate the Ramseys. They have not been charged because it was feared the evidence might not be enough for a jury to convict, not because the evidence exonerates them. The grand jury did vote to indict on the charges of child abuse resulting in death and of being accessories to a crime. The DA at the time, Alex Hunter, was not being truthful when he held the press conference announcing no charges. It all came out later. Alex Hunter’s actions throughout the entire investigation are questionable. In 2006, based upon new dna testing, the DA Mary Lacy made the unprecedented decision to apologize to the Ramseys and announce that she was “clearing” them. This was based upon the finding of a 3rd person’s dna on one place, JBR’s long Johns. This decision was widely criticized. Firstly, the sample tested was minute and could have been the result of inconsequential contact with other people, or have been transferred from another piece of clothing. Secondly, the presence of this dna neither proves nor disproves the intruder theory, neither does it exonerate the family members. Typically when someone is cleared it’s because the real perpetrator has been found and charged. This case is still unsolved and Lacy’s decision is not legally binding. In the words of the DA who followed Lacy in office, “it’s a good faith opinion and has no legal importance but the opinion of the person who had the job before I did…”

That involved more than one person with possibly more than one motive. Obviously, that note was set up to make it point right to the Ramseys, including the bonus amount. But that would serve two purposes. It would implicate the Ramseys if the perpetrators didn’t get their money and would be more easily accessible from a bank for the Ramseys to withdraw and pay out if they did. I do wonder if Patsy was forced to write the note at gunpoint or something, believing that her daughter had been kidnapped. I think the motive may have been money and murder for different parties involved. And that’s possibly why Jon Benet was hidden in that room in the basement. I obviously don’t know and these are only speculations, but I just don’t believe that the family committed this crime.

@@cici2562 the family didn’t commit the crime. The son Burke accidentally fatally injured John Benet, with either a flashlight or some heavy object when they were roughhousing possibly arguing over food. Anyone who has grown up with boys as siblings knows how crazy it can get sometimes and violent even kids don’t care and don’t measure the severity of their actions. When the parents realize what happened they had to make a decision say goodbye to both their kids because Burks going to Juvie or set up a scene and save burke. They had all night to think about it and set the scene. Patsy was still in her clothes, and Patsy wrote the note. That’s just common sense. Can anyone prove Patsy wrote the note? Well that’s a little more difficult because handwriting analysis much like teeth work analysis is not an exact science. There’s no DNA in handwriting. But when you read the note and look at it, common sense kicks in and they should’ve arrested Patsy and let a jury decide rather than not charge them for fear of not winning because they couldn’t prove that Patsy wrote it. But if Patsy wrote that note which she did then the case is over.
Also, with all of the media attention given to this case, and with all the time that it’s gone by, they still haven’t found the killer? Wouldn’t you the father be completely and totally outraged that no one has been charged? Wouldn’t you be going on the news criticizing the police encourage encouraging others to help or even demanding that the FBI take over the case you’d be doing something you wouldn’t just be going in living your life saying oh well we never found the killer. Also, as the father wouldn’t be spending the rest of your days on this earth committed to searching for this person much like the family from England McCann.? Not only was the crime scene staged but it was done in a way to try to direct attention towards the Ramsey's.
*The Samsonite suitcase under the broken window in the basement. Inside was a duvet with John Andrew's semen stains on it. Who was in charge of doing his laundry?
      * The broken window. Why wasn't it repaired? Both John and Patsy said in separate depositions that the Pugh's knew about it. Mervyn was supposed to repair it while the Ramsey's were in NYC at Christmas time and Patsy said she and Linda Pugh worked together to clean up the shards of glass when Patsy and the kids returned from the summer at Charlevoix MI.
      * The favorite white blanket and Barbie nightie. Who knew that they were JonBenet's favorites and that there was a second floor dryer that was used just for Jonbenet's laundry?
      * Burke's knife. Linda Pugh said she hid it and only she knew where yet it showed up in the basement crime scene.
      * The unflushed excrement that was in the basement toilet. Patsy testified under oath that she had given Pugh the task of cleaning it up and Linda later told the press that there was excrement smeared on JB's box of Christmas candy. Since she wasn't in the house after the 23rd how would she know about this? If it were true why wasn't it listed on the lists of evidence collected? Why wasn't it tested for DNA?
      * Why would the amount of John's Christmas bonus be used for the ransom? Who would have thought that only the Ramsey's would know this amount? It seems unlikely the Ramsey's would have chosen this if they were guilty since a much larger demand would be reasonable considering their wealth and the fact that kidnappings are not undertaken for chump change since they can involve the FBI and bring the death penalty. Furthermore, the Ramsey's would have known they would not have to pay a red cent since they would have realized there were no kidnappers if they did it.
      * The oversized "Day of the Week" panties were stored high in a closet as they were bought for JB's older cousin. Who knew they were there and could have told their location to co-conspirators?
      * The flashlight. A neighbor heard a clank of metal on a hard surface around the time of Patsy's call to 9-1-1. Why would the flashlight have been left upstairs yet a baseball bat with carpet fibers from the basement rug was thrown outside the Butler Kitchen door?
      * Another basic aspect of crime investigation you know as a criminology professor is that of "Cui bono?" Who benefits?
In this case, we know it would not be the Ramsey's. They had an idyllic life. A large beautiful house, two healthy, successful children, a great income, free time to vacation and many friends including from their congregation.
Of course, the claim is that rage caused the crime so the person was not rational who committed it and later tried to make it look as if someone else did. Yet the two rage theories, bed-wetting and purloined pineapple do not fit the medical evidence. If killed in a rage Jonbenet would have been unconscious from a severe 8 1/2 " skull fracture. But that would have left her incapable of scratching her throat getting her own skin's DNA under her fingernails. It also would have made it impossible for her to have been the one who screamed at about 2:00 as heard by neighbor Melonie Stanton.

@@nbenefiel True. The crime scene was botched but worse was the failure of the BPD to follow up on the true perpetrators of this horrible crime.
*There was the Facilitator - The housekeeper Linda Pugh. Linda Pugh was the one who provided the key, the paper and pen, the insider's knowledge of the house's layout including Jonbenet's room, The Guest Room, The Spiral Staircase, the Wine Cellar and the In Ground Safe. Very importantly she told where important the telephone notepad and pen were located.
Planning started at least since Thanksgiving when the Ramsey's were away doing Christmas shopping in NYC and she discovered the in ground safe in the Wine Cellar Room.
She knew that she and her husband Mervyn were not up to the task of writing the ransom note or subduing John after he'd opened the in ground safe. For that they chose a mastemind and some muscle men.
The Mastermind, Chris Wolf was provided samples of Patsy's handwriting, with examples from the many handwritten work assignments Patsy gave Linda Pugh. In her book "The Death of an Innocent," Pugh boasted of knowing Patsy's expressions and handwriting and of having these samples of her handwriting.
*There was the Expediter - Santa Bill
*The Mastermind - Chris Wolf had the education and training to compose the ransom note and the expertise about movies of the adventure genre. From practice he was able to write in a manner very similar but still different from Patsy's. You can see how similar his handwriting was to the Ransom Note here:
*There were two Muscle Men - Michael Helgoth and one other. Helgoth had told John Kenady in late November that he and an accomplice had a "killer deal" lined up for around Christmas. Each would get fifty to sixty thousand dollars which amounts to roughly the ransom demand of $118K. He had told Kenady he wanted to find out what it would feel like to crush someone's skull. He was a known sadist, a sniper, and a pedophile. He liked to roam around at night dressed all in black. He had a weird collection of video clips, one of which was of a Disney Santa waking up a little girl. He was found dead after Valentine's Day and the BPD said it was a suicide but it had the earmarks of a murder. He was right handed but the bullet entered in his lower left side. There was a pillow shot clear through with his blood next to the bullet hole. Who would care about noise if they were committing suicide? There were stun guns, a hat with SBTC on it, a wolf dog pup matching the hairs found on JB and Hi-Tec boots. Most tellingly, he had not one but TWO strong depressants in his system. See Real Crime: Who killed the Pageant Queen. ruclips.net/video/wGIcrsgPXX4/видео.html
The second muscle man was never named but he left his DNA under JB's fingernail, in blood spots in her underpants and on her leggings. He was excluded from being a Ramsey by this DNA.
*The Expediter - Last but not least there was The Expediter. This was Professor William McGovern AKA Santa Bill. He was enamored of Jonbenet and wanted his ashes mixed with the gold glitter she'd given him. He himself had had a kidnapping of his own daughter and her friend 22 years to the day earlier. Oddly only the friend was sexually accosted. His wife even wrote an award winning play of a young girl who disappeared but was found strangled in her own basement.
He set Jonbenet up for being taken from her bed. She told her friend Meghan's mother that Santa was going to come after Christmas but it was a secret. Trip DeMuth also found a card from Santa telling of a present after Christmas.
The fly in the ointment was that the Ramsey's did not heed the warning and instead immediately called 9-1-1. Hearing Patsy's screams and hearing the terrified phone call, they knew that there would be no safe opening. A baseball bat was found outside the back door which was left ajar. On it were grey fibers from the basement rug. The fled in to the night and the BPD did not have sense enough to call in scent dogs right away.
The bat was the coup de grace because we know JB was alive during at least part of the strangulation as she'd scratched her throat area and had her own skin under her fingernails. But the 8 1/2" skull fracture bled very slightly indicating she was either very near death or dead after she was struck.

As you indicate, the attack was of a sadistic nature and sadists would not derive their sick satisfaction without the victim's conscious suffering.
JB had her own skin under her fingernails and also skin from an unknown male. A neighbor said she heard a child's scream around 2:00 am. These things could occur if she had an 8 1/2 " skull fracture because she would have been unconscious.
There are many signs that intruders were there but some would rather believe it was her parents who had NO history of any kind of physical or sexual abuse. No indication that the parents had been anything but model citizens. No evidence of pornographic materials or prurient interests.
Signs of intruders: .) Animal hair, alleged to be from a beaver, was found on the duct tape. (SMF ¶ 83; PSMF ¶ 83.) Yet, nothing in defendants' home matches the hair (SMF ¶ 83; PSMF ¶ 83.), thereby suggesting either that the duct tape had been obtained from outside the home or that it had been carried outside the home at some point. Dark animal hairs were also found on JonBenet's hands that have not been matched to anything in defendants' home. (SMF ¶ 84; PSMF ¶ 84.)other fiber evidence supports an inference that some of these items from outside the home were, at one time, in the second floor area near Jon-Benet's bedroom. That is, fibers consistent with those of the cord used to make the slip knots and garrote were found on JonBenet's bed. (SMF ¶ 168; PSMF ¶ 168.)

Then there is the case of the young woman ac costed in her own bed nine months after the JB assault and murder. There were piles of Camel blue cigarette butts found near both sites. In both cases, the attacks occurred after the families had been out for the afternoon and early evening. The girls had gone to the same dance school. In both cases the BPD failed to turn up adequate evidence to justify an arrest.

@@nbenefiel My posts are so long that I sometimes I don't include all the documentation even though I should.
In the case of Linda Pugh the evidence comes from her own statements first to Lawrence Schiller in his "Perfect Murder, Perfect Town," and in Pugh's own chapter she called "The Death of an Innocent." This reveals contradictions between the two accounts. First, Patsy is "a wonderful kind person." . COMMENTS ON BEDWETTING: "She just put a plastic cover on the bed. No big deal to her. By the time I'd come in the morning, Patsy would have all the sheets off the bed and in the laundry."
      In her chapter, someoneisgettingawaywithmurder.blogspot.com/2010/11/death-of-innocent.html
she claims to have seen Patsy, "many times" take JB to the bathroom, shut the door and then hear JB scream. I don't believe this because if it had been true she would have reported it from the very beginning when the BPD showed up at her door and subsequently found she had identical pens and paper as Patsy's. In fact, it was from Patsy's supplies. She brags about knowing Patsy's expressions and handwriting very well and had many specimens of it from Patsy's handwritten instructions to her for her work details.
There are many other contradictions from newspaper accounts. For example, she first said that only she knew where she hid Burke's knife and later she said only the Ramsey's knew. ”'That showed up where JonBenet was," said Hoffmann-Pugh. 'I would stake my life that an intruder wouldn't know to get that out of the cupboard. Someone took that knife out of the cupboard WHERE I PUT IT."' "Hoffmann-Pugh SAID SHE DIDN'T TELL JONBENET'S PARENTS WHERE SHE STOWED THE KNIFE." www.acandyrose.com/s-evidence-knives.htm
She knew Santa Bill and her husband as a handyman would have known Michael Helgoth, an electrician. .. Chris Wolf revealed a lot and confirmed a lot of what his informer, his former girlfriend at the time of the murder, Jackie
Dilson had said to Steve Thomas the investigator who resigned to cash in big time on his "Patsy did it theme" which was and is so popular. Eventually the Ramsey's sued him and won. At Wolf's libel trial against the Ramsey's Thomas was forced to admit his leaks and how worried he was that a contact named Shapiro would divulge his unethical behavior. He had big rea$on$ to go with the Patsy Did It Version - his book, his lectures for hire, and his talk show and news paid interviews.
As to Chris Wolf, in his deposition under oath he had to admit Bill McGovern was his faculty adviser, that he was an expert knot tier, that he had written negative things about John both before and after the murder and these confirmed what Dilson said about his preoccupation with Third World Countries and claims that John was a "Merchant of Death," for his company's alleged arms sales.
There are also depositions at that trial from Steve Thomas showing he had leaked to the press, that he had discounted Dilson's information even though it was confirmed by the letter that Wolf wrote Fox News" Carol McKinley who Thomas said was his "friend" and who discussed the case with him.
Police Chief Mark Beckner was also deposed and he admitted that he did not know a lot about Wolf's background such as that he had been a stripper and a convicted sex offender. He had no explanation as to why Wolf had been so quickly dismissed as a suspect despite the fact he had to be hobbled in January, 1997 then released and not brought back in until February, 1998 at which time his DNA was taken. Beckner did not know if it had ever been compared to the significant DNA not revealed until 2003 from the second blood spot.
There is a lot of good information about Michael Helgoth in "Real Crime: The Killing of the Pageant Queen." I looked up his autopsy report and found that he had two strong depressants in his system on autopsy. ruclips.net/video/wGIcrsgPXX4/видео.html It is more likely he was murdered than a suicide according to Detective Ollie Gray.
The Burke Ramsey v CBS case is also available on line and gives a long, long list of the times in which Burke has been deemed uninvolved in any way by both the BPD and the DA's on the case.
If you have any more specific questions about a particular claim I've made I would be happy to look it up again for you. I notice you have been one of the few who has tried to ward off the unreasonable attacks on the Ramsey's and it is wise that you ask for sources. No statements can be taken at face value without backup.
Hopefully this will be declared a cold case and the evidence files will be analyzed. For example, I hope the source of the unknown dark hairs, not the beaver hairs, will be analyzed. DNA if available, would reveal what kind of animal it was from. I suspect it was from Michael Helgoth's wolf dog pup brought to "surprise" JonBenet.
Keep up your posts and inquiries as much as you can. Thanks.

Then the police allowed her friends there while they and the cops messed so many things up. Then the father was asked to take one more search from TOP to bottom of the house and the first room he chooses is downstairs where she was found. That was odd. @@MrNickpeck36 You are right that that is certainly a very odd amount. You are also right in asking who but the Ramsey's would know that. The fact is that Linda Pugh, the housekeeper, and her husband Mervyn, had complete run of the Ramsey's house around Thanksgiving 1996. While the lucky Ramsey's were vacationing and Christmas shopping in NYC the Pugh's were toiling away in the Ramsey's house. They were washing windows, not a fun task in any season but especially uncomfortable in winter. Mervyn was supposed to fix the window that John had broken in the summer. And together they were to take the artificial trees up from the basement that Patsy liked to put in each room during Christmas time. They found those trees in the same basement room that was called a bit pretentiously, "The Wine Cellar Room," since there was no wine stored there and the floor was covered with a kind of fungus or mold that left footprints. There was also an in ground safe down there and the Pugh's were hurting for money. In fact, Linda asked Patsy for a loan of $2K just before the Ramsey's were going to head out for ANOTHER VACATION on December 26, 1996. This time they were going to visit John's adult kids and their friends in Charlevoix MI and then take Burke and Jonbenet on The Big Red Boat tour offered for kids and their families by Disney in Florida.
So you can bet Linda did some poking around while the Ramsey's were gone on vacation. She would have had little difficulty finding out the amount of his '95 Christmas bonus, $118K since it was on every check stub he had from '96. Like most people, the Ramsey's were very busy with work, school, church and JB's pageants. The left these stubs in drawers around the house since they were of no value. Showing that Linda knew a lot of things that only an INSIDER would know, she also saw a plaque in a basement closet which John got from serving in the Philippines when he was in the Navy. It was from Subic Bay and she probably assumed that it was called the Subic Bay Training Center (SBTC) but actually it was formally called the Naval Base Subic Bay. When she 'helpfully' told the police it was SBTC she was wrong.
She scoured the place for things to implicate the Ramsey's so she could get that safe opened up. She probably imagined the the $118 K would be "chicken feed" compared to what was in the safe. So, at the end of November Michael Helgoth, a Hell Raiser and former sniper with a too great fondness for little girls and a sadist told John Kenady that he had a "killer deal" lined up for around Christmas. He and a partner would each get about $50 - $60K. That adds up pretty close to that #118K. The reason they didn't want to make the ransom too high is because they wanted John to come to the basement safe to get the money without involving the police. The ransom note demanded that he not talk to the police and also said JB could be returned earlier if they paid sooner.
The Pugh's hatched the idea but they were too old to be able to jump out from hiding to subdue John after he opened the safe to carry out the plan. They needed muscle. Helgoth was an electrician and Mervyn a handyman so it is likely they would have know each other. They also needed someone to write the note. Linda had copies of Patsy's handwriting she told us in her "book" and she also knew Patsy's expressions and where she kept her note pads and pens. In fact, she had helped herself to them as the police discovered when they went to her house the same day as the murder. Besides Linda was not that great at composing letters so they needed outside help. She knew Santa Bill a professor of journalism at the U of Colo and she knew how found he was of little JB. There were probably rumors about how his own daughter and a friend had been kidnapped the day after Christmas 22 days earlier. She probably thought it odd that only the friend, not Santa's daughter, was sexually molested. Details of this are not available on the internet to my knowledge.
But guess who Santa knew. He was the faculty adviser to a Chris Wolf who had written and said some pretty bad things about John Ramsey. Being old and not in good health Santa could not take an active part but he could set JB up and she was set up. Someone told JB Santa would be coming AFTER Christmas. She told her friend Meghan's mother that and Det. Trip DeMuth said he found a card in JB's trash that also said that. What better way to get a sleepy child, just awakened, to go with a stranger than to pose as Santa Claus.?
There was a Santa Suit found in the basement and listed on the evidence warrant. Coincidentally, Michael Helgoth had a video clip of a young girl wakened up by Santa and on the same reel he had a clip of his girlfriend's little daughter. The girlfriend had come home and found him under the covers naked with the daughter on the bed. Another clip he had was of the LIVE TV broadcast of the news that a little girl had been found strangled and stuffed in a duffel bag near Boulder. Odd he had that clip copied at the same time as it came out in the news. He had been a sniper so he probably did have a duffel bag. In February he would be found dead obviously murdered but the hapless BPD claimed it was a suicide. I can give you details as to why it was a murder and not a suicide if you wish.
Look up Real Crime: Who Killed the Pageant Queen Part II if you want to see the details about Helgoth.

Totally intriguing analysis of the ransom note. Many others have always believed Patsy wrote it; the main giveaway being the "kidnapper's" precise knowledge of the bonus John had earned instead of a vague ransom figure being demanded.
Watching Patsy's reaction to being asked during a television interview some years later if she had been responsible for JonBenet's death there was something about her denial which didn't ring true. To me, there was no natural maternal upset at being reminded of her daughter's murder, she denied any involvement enhancing her reply with unnecessary information about why she wouldn't have even considered killing her daughter.

@@MarcelElfers Whether or not one believes that Patsy Ramsey assaulted and murdered her own daughter, it's fair to say that she never came across to the media as anything but uptight, defensive and sometimes downright belligerent. Unfortunately for Patsy, her multimedia presence became her own Waterloo. She was either being given terrible advice by her media consultant (or deliberately ignoring potential GOOD advice), or, like Richard Nixon, Patsy's seemingly endless neuroses got in the way of the public persona she tried so hard to construct. Even as one feels sorry for the Ramsey's family's horrific loss, an attentive viewer will NEVER feel sorry for Patsy. Simply put, although there are many surprising--even shocking--ways a grieving mother may feel, Patsy Ramsey's way was not one of those.

If they had done it, why leave her body there to be found instead of dumping it somewhere? Why use the amount of John's bonus as their ransom demand when they would have known it never was going to have to be paid anyway? They could have made the amount a more realistic fee, like $1,000,000.
Why did John admit he broke the basement window? It would make a perfect ploy to say it was the route of entry.
Why did the turn over the pad that the perp had copied the Ransom Note on to the police which John did that very first day? They could have disposed of it and given them other samples of their handwriting.

@@vernonfrance2974 For fair context, it should be noted that 2 of the graphologists were hired and paid for by the Ramseys, and even they could not rule Patsy out as the writer. The experts that had worked on the case with LE and the CBI could not rule her out either, and two stated it was probable that she did write the note. I think it is more illogical to think that an intruder wrote the note. It makes no sense that someone who has broken in to the house would take that amount of time to write a lengthy ransom note and risk being found in the house. Additionally, after the death of the child, there are only two scenarios that make any sense if it were an intruder. The intruder flees the scene of the crime because the kidnap victim is dead. Or, the intruder takes the body from the scene so as to make the parents believe it was a kidnapping and not a murder. There would still be hope of getting the money. But for an intruder to leave the dead body AND a rambling ransom note that they took the time to write makes zero sense to me. I believe that whatever happened to JonBenet that night was an accident. The Ramseys made the decision to cover it up. But they are not familiar with covering up the scene of a crime and a death, and they were also most likely in a state of panic. They did the best they could which has turned out to be pretty effective, but they made mistakes along the way. Which is why so many are convinced that someone in the family is responsible. Why use a pad and pen from the home? Because it was convenient. The mistake was not to dispose of those items amongst the other items that were disposed of. I think it's an assumption that Linda Pugh would have had access to John's check stubs. I would imagine that someone like John Ramsey would have kept those under lock and key.

@@freddie3206 The reason for the amount is that the intruders, with help from the housekeeper, wanted it to point to the Ramsey's. But it does not make sense that the Ramsey's would not have placed a much higher demand if they had written the note. They would have known they were never going to have to pay it. Moreover, the notepad and pen would not have been left in its usual place and they would have replaced the one they used with a new one which they had available.
The housekeeper had identical pads of paper and pens found at her home the very first day by the BPD. She ended up changing her story about a lot of things which is a good sign of untruthfulness.
She had full run of the house at Thanksgiving while the Ramsey's were in NYC Christmas shopping. John had check stubs from '96 in drawers and they all had the amount of the '95 bonus on them.
Linda Pugh changed her story about how Patsy reacted to JB's bed wetting, about Burke's knife, about the broken window. She knew where JB's clothes were washed, where the room was with the hidden safe, the Ramsey's schedule and the fact that the dog was going to be with the neighbors during the Ramsey's trip to Michigan and then to take a cruise with the small kids on Disney's Big Red Boat in Florida. She had a key and by claiming she needed a loan from Patsy but said she couldn't pick it up she had an alibi for not coming in before the Ramsey's went on their trip. But if she were really worried about her sister evicting her for back rent she would not have waited to come get the $2K that Patsy agreed to.
She claimed that feces were smeared on a box of Christmas candy but since she wasn't in the house after the 23rd how would she know?
She bragged about how well she knew Patsy's expressions and handwriting and that she even had many copies of Patsy's handwriting from the assignments that Patsy would write out for her each day she came.
At first she said Patsy did not make a big deal about bed wetting but in her Chapter she claimed she "many times" saw Patsy take JB to the bathroom, shut the door and then hear JB scream. If this were true she would have told Lawrence Schiller that for his book but instead she claimed Patsy was the nicest, sweetest person.
When people radically change their stories they are lying. Why they would want to lie is generally because of guilt.

She picked up the baseball bat to club John (or other person) over the head accidently hitting her daughter. JonBenet struggled strangling herself with the garotte. That's why they couldn't determine what actually caused her death. Having killed their daughter they proceeded to wipe all traces of DNA from her body, clothes & everything. I figured they wanted to get the body out of the house & tried the kidnapping idea but something fell though. Her body was probably hidden in the suitcase. Then they called 911, a bunch of friends to leave DNA & clean up. Later John disappeared moving the body where he could later " discover it". The house was so large that Burke could have slept through everything. He probably still doesn't know what happened. I knew pretty much everyone involved in this case. We had Christmas Eve dinner with the police chief at My in-laws house. My mother-in-law was second in command of the Boulder police. My best friend's brother was the City attorney. He has hit her before with objects and has smeared poo on her stuff. He was jealous of her. I think the parents felt they had to save Burke and made the kidnapping up. I also found it interesting that the writer of the letter, being Patsy, (no stranger would know where you put your own notepad & pen in your own house) also put accents on certain words in the letter, which not only indicates higher education level.....but it is the same thing she did to her only daughters name, JonBenet!
This was an excellent analysis and I actually had the same exact theory!
If Patsy had been a prior victim of abuse as a child herself, she would have developed the coping mechanism to shut off reality. You can hear this in 911 call extended version at the end, which was an extreme difference in tone/manner.

The word bussiness is misspelled in the note.
""Mr. Ramsey, Listen carefully! We are a group of individuals that represent a small foreign faction. We xx respect your bussiness. but not the country that it serves."
It is business not bussiness. That is a clue in itself. They should have gotten Patsy and John to write a short paragraph with the word business in it a couple times to see if they misspell it. There are other words in that note that they could have easily misspelled but they got them right. This is a quirk that this particular person has where they always misspell the word business "bussiness"
Also, they used periods (F.B.I.) after the letters in FBI. Notice how they use them in S.B.T.C. at the end. I bet they would write CIA C.I.A. this is a spelling quirk they use over and over.

@sparksie7906 The ransom note is an indication that it was written by someone who had access to Insider information. Linda Pugh, the Housekeeper had the exact pens and pads of paper as Patsy's found in her house by the police the very first day.
Chris Wolf's handwriting and knowledge of movies plus his hatred of John and his statement that men would want to have sex with JB all point to Wolf. He did not cooperate with the police and had to be shackled but they still did not re-interview him for 13 months, until February 1998.
He and Pugh both knew Santa Bill. Santa Bill's own daughter had been kidnapped along with a friend, also the day after Christmas years earlier.
      00. 1996-12-24: The day before Christmas, JonBenet was at Megan's house playing (PMPT Pg50sb) and she told Meghan's mother that Santa was coming After Christmas.

I don't think McReynolds did it but I think he may have given advice to two who did. He knew both Linda Pugh and Chris Wolf. His own daughter had been "kidnapped" allegedly two decades earlier to the day. Also a friend of hers was kidnaped and the only one who was sexually molested. HMMMM! Santa Bill was so enamored of JB that he wanted the gold dust she gave him mixed with his ashes when he died.

"Family friends said Mr McReynolds, who died in 2002, “struck up a friendship” with JonBenet, and he allegedly handed the pageant queen a note found in her bin saying she would “receive a special gift after Christmas.” One particularly bizarre detail is that Mr McReynolds and his wife Janet were involved in a remarkably similar incident 22 years earlier, when their daughter was abducted on Boxing Day 1974 and saw a friend being sexually assaulted. Mrs McReynolds wrote a bizarre play in 1978 based on the real-life murder of an Indianapolis 16-year-old, who was molested and tortured before her body was left in a basement. Her husband adored JonBenet, who had given him vials of gold glitter that he took with him when he had heart surgery. He described her as “pensive, almost retiring,” to the Denver Post. “I felt very close to that little girl,” he said. “I don’t really have other children that I have this special relationship with - not even my own children or my own grandchildren ... “When I die, I’m going to be cremated. I’ve asked my wife to mix the star dust JonBenet gave me with my ashes. We’re going to go up behind the cabin here and have it blow away in the wind.” The couple provided hair and handwriting samples to police, but were never formally linked to the murder. After speculation over their possible involvement in the case, they quietly moved to Cape Cod."

That style of flashlight helps explain greatly why Patsy accidently killed JonBenet. It's heavy (especially when loaded with batteries) and long. When Patsy swung it towards the back of JonBenet's head as a gesture of frustration, she underestimated the strength required to stop it and she struck her and killed her.
You can see this in Patsy in so many interviews. She's got a short fuse and she flails her hands and arms to express herself. I can see it happening in my head. Patsy was tired, she does so much for JonBenet, and the girl pops off while eating the food Patsy just prepared. Bam!

Someone in the house had molested JBR such that her autopsy disclosed injuries inflicted days to a week before her death. Whoever set up the coverup of JBR’s accidental death was trying to make it appear as a sexually motivated murder to cover up the signs of prior abuse that would be revealed upon JBR’s autopsy. It seems John’s first impulse was to try to flee by his private plane, perhaps planning to take JBR’s body in the suitcase. But once the decision was made to call 911 it was necessary to ensure that JBR was not discovered to have been a sex abuse victim for some time prior to her death. Not understanding that science cannot be fooled between injuries inflicted at or near the hour of death as compared to injuries that are older by days or up to a week.

Are we to believe that this person, or persons decided at some point, "hey, let's tie her up and sexually abuse her while we're still here!" Any authentic kidnappers would have quickly taken her and left the premises. Spending such an inordinate amount of time at the crime scene makes zero sense. They also found a dictionary opened with the page folded and the corner of the page pointing at the word "incest". I believe it is entirely possible Patsy walked in on JonBenét and John and she swung at him and hit the child accidentally with a force meant for an adult. Hence the coverup. Hence the lack of cooperation. Hence the use of tragedy. The rest is history. The truth will come out once John passed away. Somebody will have something written down.

exactly. And the reason I believe this to be close to the truth is her skull fracture. She was hit with a heavier object in the shape of a Maglite. The fracture shows she was hit -- from behind! And that virtually eliminates the Steve Thomas theory. He believed at that time in a bedwetting scenario and the mother lost control. An angry mother who lashed out at her daughter would more likely slap with an open hand while facing her. To hit a child willfully and deliberately with a heavy object from behind with the child not being able to see it coming is incomprehensible. That punishment would be way out of line especially for a mother like Patsy who, from all accounts, loved and cherished her daughter. The bedwetting - anger model does not make sense to me. That makes the most sense to me. Burke was eating the pineapple at the table and JonBenet snatched a piece or /2 and ate them. Burke was ticked and chased his sister through the house with the maglight. He catches her in the basement and whacks her hard over the head, fracturing her skull and knocking her out. He then takes a train track from his model train (which was set up in the basement) and pokes her in the back to test if she can come to. She doesn’t. The parents discover the horrible scene and make the decision to stage a crime scene. The adults did that but that’s the most shocking part: whoever staged that scene with the noose tight around the child’s neck and poking her in the vagina with the end of a paintbrush had to be really sick and twisted. The brutality of the crime is horrifying; how could a parent do this to a child? There’s a missing piece in this crime that would explain it, and the world doesn’t know that piece. It’s doubtful we’ll ever know.

I believe that was right before whatever event transpired to cause JB to receive the massive head injury. Remember - that head trauma was closed - no bleeding. But I believe it caused JB to either die at that point or come close to it. Only way out was all steps after. Staged scene and ransom note. Both parents were in on that. After JB was struck - it was too late for them to call 911. They would have no explanation for head injury / comatose state or death.

I agree with you 100%. Accident or not, the crime scene was plastered with evidence pointing more to patsy than anyone else involved/suspected in the crime. Whatever the need for a coverup, the Ramseys were protecting far more people than their own family here. Their wealth and power, combined with the amount of people willing to go along with the coverup, shows just how much was at stake here.
The Ramseys social circle was littered with people “likely” involved in nefarious activity, any of which stood the chance of being exposed.. whether or not they were involved in the crime.. and regardless if the Ramseys actually got arrested alot.. there were many reasons for people to offer their help or silence in order to avoid anything more coming to light.
John and patsy ramsey must have been anxious beyond belief knowing the truth behind what led up to that night and knowing they only had 1 chance to stage the crime scene and begin the coverup. Going back to the first 24 hours of the crime, what you address and discuss here makes more sense than anything else I’ve ever come across.

Brilliant video thank you. I agree with your points.
Some bits of the random note stood out to me, such as 'I advise you not to provokethem'' - it seems to me that Patsy tells us in the note why she did what she did to Jonbenet, Jonbenet provoked her.
"Don't think that killing will be difficult" Patsy is telling us in the note that it was easier than she thought , doing what she did to Jonbenet.

These are two interesting observations. Projection may very well be at stake here.
Patsy was provoked. By whom is questionable. Good points.

  • @bkb04g

But WHY did Patsy do it? Perhaps JonBenet didn’t like the pageants and would fight back? Maybe it was an accident and nobody wanted to take the blame.
I always thought it was Burke, and his motive was unmitigated jealousy. Makes the most sense to me. Then the parents wrote the letter and covered it all up.

      What I think:
      1. Burke was molested and probably Jonbenet saw/witnessed something she shouldn't have seen.
      2. Jonbenet was molested and said she would tell everything.

The basement door was locked from the inside and they put a blanket in the dryer before she left that was a blanket that they use to cover her so how would an intruder know but there's a blanket in the dryer

Imo, Burke accidently killed JB with a blow to the head. Instead of calling 911 immediately, she chose to stage an intruder crime scene. She already lost a daughter; and didn't want to lose her son along with the social stigma.

Jennifer Naso a forensic document examiner recently examined the ransom note.
She said Patsy could have written the note and she also said someone else could have written it.
I am not convinced she did write it soz.

I believe the brother hit her in the head, but she didn’t d!e right away. She went to bed and then passed away. Then the crazy coverup started. I don’t think the brother even knew he was responsible. ThAt explains why the parents allowed him to be interrogated. And to this day, he still may be unaware he is responsible for her de@th. If John did it, we would see more hints of hostility towards John in interviews. And vice versa. The only motivation not to break would be to protect the son. Just my thought.

Another thing. Why handwrite? If the Ramsey's wrote the note, using their computer, then printing it out would have left a time stamp somewhere within
the computer. And John being a computer guy would have known that. If They did it, it would have been time consuming to have cut out letters and paste from books. And also a trail would have been left behind with that method. The only recourse if they did write the letter was to hand write and attempt disguise the writing style. Would a former employee have written it and risked being identified by the writing, since it is clear from the note, the person(s) who wrote it had some intimate knowledge of their lives? An intruder just doesn't make sense. It all turns on the note. It is the lynch pin of evidence.

I never questioned “why handwrite” other than expediency. You make a good point re computer time stamp. (It’s how Dennis Radar (BTK) got caught).
