Glixen Interview - AZ Fried Food Festival

This pretty band local to AZ has become a personal favorite of mine in recent months! I had some spare time today so I made a lil' edit of them. I got to interview band members:
Aislinn Ritchie (lead vocalist/guitarist), Stevie Santana (Guitarist), Sonia Garcia (Bassist), and Keire Johnson (Drummer)

Glixen Glistens,
This four member group strings together dazzling performances in fairytale-esque harmony, fluffed up with fuzzy melodies, and trickling vocals.
Glixen is dreamy,
If you ever need to retire from the bustling strife of economic life, take off your boots, light a candle and withdraw into the aerial lairs of cerebral lucidity and starry-eyed psychedelia, Glixen is for you.
Glixen is pretty,
This female fronted shoegaze band is highly aware of itself, and the music scene. When I asked lead singer Aislin about the shoegaze scene being uniquely feminine, she fired back, replying "shoegaze is white-male fronted" and quickly referenced Kevin Shields, lead singer of My Bloody Valentine saying "the shoegaze king is literally a British man" - the band members started laughing. Aislin continues, "he's really cute! his long hair...in his little castle in Ireland, I don't know, wherever he is - he lives in like, a farm, in his little studio...playing away" the bass guitarists chirps back, and asks ironically "wait who are you talking about?"
