Deli Drawer Lid Fix

Deli Drawer Lids are the most common broken part in french door refrigerators. Mine lasted 6 years. A new lid was $75, so I fixed mine for under $5, and it will probably last longer than a new lid.
Replacement Lid:

Parts:
1.25 inch white angle brackets and small white screws.
Get both at any hardware store.

The fix actually looks pretty good. I'm just wondering, since your kitchen is pretty nice, did the fix cause your wife to give you affection for making it better, or the cold shoulder for not using a new part? These are the more important questions when deciding on how to fix the deli drawer.

Excellent question. I gave my wife the option of the $75 fix that would last 6 years or the $5 lifetime fix. I won her affection with the white on white hardware and clean center look.
