Welcome to channel if you're new here, I'm Orbital Potato and play a bunch of strategy, simulation and sci-fi games here on RUclips. I usually cover these games in the Lets Play format, but also make videos analysing specific game mechanics and looking at new releases. Love the minimalistic art style, looks pretty chill!
Looks like a great take on the clicker style game, perhaps a bit overwhelming at times and could benefit from informing the players when new options are available?
Because the second mine node was available long before Orbital Potato acknowledged it's availability and that might have changed some outcomes and decisions.
The number 64 is an extremely interesting one, just searching it's meaning was such a rabbit hole that I felt like I was staring into a vast abyss.
It also fits the individual blocks you break in the game, it's probably one of the simplest and descriptive they could have chosen for the game in my opinion.
Also, they mentioned in the chat that there's a "mysterious cube" to the North.
This game got both really tedious and boring really fast. Managed about 2 hours before losing interest in playing it.
Looks fantastic for less than $6 on Steam right now.

I don't fault him, but it was a little maddening that he didn't notice the ability to build another channel from 14:52-25:34.
Looked interesting, but the exploding black boxes are very bad for my photosensitivity. If I would watch longer it could probably trigger a seizure or at least a migraine.
Edit: I made it to 7 minutes and 4 seconds. Before deciding it wasn’t worth the risk.
I'm exactly the same. I've also seen other people make a message to the Dev about it. Hopefully he puts in an option to turn it off. It gets really crazy to the point where the only thing you see on the screen is exploding blocks
Photosensitivity is an extreme sensitivity to ultraviolet (UV) rays from the sun and other light sources. I'm pretty positive that isn't what you suffer from. Though, too be completely honest. It does give me a headache to watch as well. I doubt it would trigger a seizure however, but you are correct. It isn't worth the risk.
@@SSZaris There's already a building called the material streamer tower which turns the cubes into colored streaks, it's still quite flashy but it allows you to see what you're doing. You can purchase it soon after beta-pylene
@@alexubel please stay in your lane and don’t try to explain my diagnosis or seizure and migraine disorder to me. I leave that to my doctor, not some internet rando who just showed they obviously don’t know what they’re talking about. Also what do you think a bright white screen is? It’s a light source. The black dots appearing and moving additionally gives it the flashing effect, which can cause seizures.
And just because I don’t want to leave you as uneducated as you are on the topic an excerpt of the list of photosensitivity things that have given me seizures before:
the sudden screen brightness change often used for jump scares or lightning effects,
the screen brightness changes of the 2nd version of the intro of critical role campaign 3,
my mother fast forwarding through commercial breaks when I wasn’t even looking directly at the screen and it was only in my peripheral vision,
a video showing off the initial color blindness mode of tekken 8 (they changed it now, because it was causing seizures in so many people),
a broken periodically flickering fluorescent light at the hospital,
and being on a train or car that goes through a forest and the sun shining from between some trees while getting hidden behind others.
@@sojabursche I know without a doubt your doctor didn't diagnose you with photosensitivity. It doesn't apply to eyesight, or light patterns. It is a skin disorder. Given I do in fact have knowledge on this tells me you misunderstood your doctor. What you have is Photophobia, which is an increased sensitivity to light, which can result in pain or seizures. Also, I would you to educate yourself a little better before trying to make someone else out to be the ignorant one.

I put about 6 hours in so far just in one session 😅 It's really good. There's only one major issue and that's you can't turn off the block animations. It gets a bit much and sometimes you can't even see your factory anymore. Hopefully the dev makes an option to turn it off and this game will be 10/10
Have you not bought the "material streamer tower" (and its upgrade) in 6 hours ? You're supposed to be able to get it soon after you reach Beta-Pylene and it turns the cubes into colored trails
@@Soken50 I play games about as fast as geriatrics f&*k. But having to buy an item to change the UI? Damn. Troll game design XD
@@SSZaris I think influencing the UI ties into the lore of the game but I haven't quite gone far enough along to say for certain, the story dialog is wild to be honest.
@@Soken50 Yea the story is really intriguing. I got the stream tower and it's so much better now thank you. It's still very annoying, but at least it's not migraine inducing XD

Tried this, but the cursor just continually moves from left to right across the screen in game (yet not in the games menu). Is it supposed to do that?
how do you get dark mode ?
nvm i found it, flashlight icon really tiny in the bottom left corner (super hard to see in the original light mode
