"We didn't want the audience to laugh when I died" Hm, then maybe you should have gone with a line other than "Oh God, he's killing me! He's Killing me!"
This is my favorite Friday the 13th, thanks for uploading this, lots of stuff i had never seen , plus those outtakes look awesome! They need to release a remastered version with all the material they may have on this, i want to see it all!
I've been a fan of Horror movies all my life, from way before the internet... I've collected form Famous Monsters of Filmland to Fangoria, Savini is a man I've been following (his career) since forever, i've read several interviews, i can't recall if by 1967/68 (date of the making of original Night of the Living Dead) Tom was already in Vietnam, he probably was , serving as a war photographer, i think he got back to USA around 1969 or 1970, probably 70.
He started working in Special Effects and Make-Up for movies in the early to mid 70's . He didn't know George Romero until 1974 or 75, i specifically remember Romero interviewed recalling how he was impressed by Tom's work in the great horro movie Death Dream (or the night Andy came home).
Actually Tom Savini had no contribution to that movie whatsoever , it's a common mistake since he did Special Effects and Make-Up for Dawn and Day of the Dead.
Do you have other info? After all this years of hearing and reading everywhere that he had nothing to do with NOLD it'd be quite shocking to find out otherwise.
Oh! Now im confused ! Are you talking about Friday the 13th Final Chapter? of course he worked on all special effects and make up for that one! I was answering a person claiming that he worked make up for George Romero's Night of the Living Dead (1968). He had nothing to do with THAT movie, that's what im saying.
I'm just saying tom savini had some things to say about the movie just like he did have something to do with the movie, like when he was talking about jason should be killed in the movie. Also if he had nothing to do with the movie then why did he agree to come on this show and act like he did.
best fucking horror series hands down.

Its more terrifying that Jason is a mindless ,yet human, killing machine than a Frankenstein monster movie character in subsequent films.
I agree
These people are genius in making great horror movies.

THANK FUCK they didn't go with Tom Savini's kill with the microwave if they did that there would be no Jason Lives or The New Blood
@RikaRelic I think the whole thing is here on youtube somewhere (with Beck and Zito's commentary over it because it has no audio).
