Well I totally agree that elevators are like the best machine for Minecraft because say you have a tall mountain that generated and you wanted to climb up and down it for a house or something if you built an elevator it can get you up and down safely in survival instead of jumping off like a mad man and breaking every bone in your body
even in roblox I found it to be essential even if its just a simple platform lift because stairs even in games like Minecraft and Roblox suck for tall structures
Hey Doctor Plasma, out of the numerous other minecrafter youtubers yours especially informative and helpful, I very much appreciate how you get right into it and explain and things I thought were impossible (better sugar cane efficiency or an 8x8 elevator). I hope you continue to grow. One question though, could this work as a multifloor elevator? Like select a floor using buttons and a calculator determines the elevator? Could it work as a full enclosed elevator? (Ceiling, door, and walls included) Its a question bothering me for months. Thanks if you reply!
Yes! I'm actually working on some really big multifloor elevators with the help of a friend. It's just a bit more complicated to do, and it's taking time. Great tutorial, but one issue. However, when I make a Redstone line, which fires are observer, the sticky pistons pull. However, unlike in your tutorial, the sticky pistons only pull the honey part, and leave the slime part floating.
UPDATE: Got it to work, simply had to remove the blocks surrounding the slime. I know you mentioned that in the video but it seems like I didn't understand. Thank you for the awesome tutorial though!
I have a problem with mine, so whenever I have nothing around the honey and slime blocks it goe's all the way up, but whenever I place the block I need around it just goes up 1 block

not easily. but i do have a video on a multi floor design, it's not out yet but coming soon! when I'm able to get more videos done it's coming very soon! if you bug me in the livestream tomorrow maybe i can show it
i don't see how you'd move 9 honey blocks and 9 other blocks with one piston. with multiple pistons they can't touch. it wouldn't be clean or flush but you could move 6 from below and the other three from the side i guess, but that's really a 3x4
do the walls of the final elevator have to be terracotta? I'm using deepslate for mine and the elevator seems to be stopping once the observers touch the deepslate as my walls are 5x5
Bold of you to assume my intentions are pure and not maniacal 😈 I just did a long range trackless (remote/air gap) cart delivery system, maybe those will help.

this was my very first video, my 3x3/5x5 review video and my latest elevator short might be more helpful.
join my Discord and I can help you there!
it dose not work in bedrock all the time. is there a way you can make one for bedrock please if possible or is the same way as bedrock/windows 10 please thank you.
Did you ever find a way
You can do it by replacing one of the sticky pistons for a normal one. But then it will only be able to go in one direction.
Worked for me you’re just lackin
Thank you : )
you're welcome.
Im wondering why the some stone gets stuck at the top and it doesn't go down properly
youll not respond to this cuz this is 1 year ago but this is not working in the bottem trigger where i have to put the redstone in front of the observer if somehow u see this plz tell me how to do it
not true, im an attentive small YTer still ;)
assuming you're not trying to build redstone on bedrock, visit our discord and maybe we can help!
i'm having trouble doing this in 1.20.2 is there anything different that must be done?
Luckey a Legjobb!!
My elevator is dragging the catching blocks up past the stopping point, rather than the blocks stopping it. Do you have any ideas on a fix?
that means your slime/honey underneath doesn't add up to 12 when you include the top layer.
honestly this was my first video ever and I've improved on the design, i have a few shorts, but this update is clearer to me:

guys, can you write a list of all the blocks you need, please
Can I get a material list
check my hotbar.
i can put in the description later for future people.
really good tutorial, super useful explanation
thank you!
Bruh i tried for 30 minutes to make it work but I realised it was 3 ticks not 2 but thank you for the tutorial.
Not yet finished but...Does it work Up and Down? I've got like a 20x29 Square Base with a height of 8 Blocks Upward to the roof. Underground too. Been wanting to add multiple Floors Downward to expand the size. Already got a 3x3 hole in the middle of the floor ready for said elevator.
Instead, try this one for multiple floors: ruclips.net/video/aJR_zN3Dp8w/видео.html
This 3x3 is my first video, but that link is my multifloor solution.
my problem is how to stop the elevator when going up cuz if I put obsidian on the top part the other blocks just go through how can I fix that @DoctorPlasma ?
When i build this, the 4 blocks with the honey on them go up by 1 more, any solution to this?
you might be missing a block, the blocks above and honey/slime connected should each add up to 12.
